1 When there shall be found one slain on the soil which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee to possess, lying prostrate in the field,it not being known who smote him,
1 Quando na terra que te der o Senhor , teu Deus, para possuí-la se achar alguém morto, caído no campo, sem que se saiba quem o matou,
2 then shall thine elders and thy judges go forth,and measure unto the cities that are round about the slain;
2 sairão os teus anciãos e os teus juízes e medirão a distância até às cidades que estiverem em redor do morto.
3 and it shall be that the city that is nearest unto the slain, the elders of that city shall take a heifer of the herd which hath not been wrought with, which hath not drawn in a yoke;
3 Os anciãos da cidade mais próxima do morto tomarão uma novilha da manada, que não tenha trabalhado, nem puxado com o jugo,
4 and the elders of that city shall take down the heifer into a ravine with an everflowing stream, which is neither tilled nor sown,and shall behead there the heifer in the ravine.
4 e a trarão a um vale de águas correntes, que não foi lavrado, nem semeado; e ali, naquele vale, desnucarão a novilha.
5 Then shall the priests the sons of Levi come near, for of them, hath Yahweh thy God made choice to wait upon him, and to bless in the name of Yahweh,and at their bidding, shall be settled every controversy and every punishment;
5 Chegar-se-ão os sacerdotes, filhos de Levi, porque o Senhor , teu Deus, os escolheu para o servirem, para abençoarem em nome do Senhor e, por sua palavra, decidirem toda demanda e todo caso de violência.
6 and, all the elders of that city who are nearest unto the slain, shall bathe their hands over the heifer that hath boon beheaded in the ravine,
6 Todos os anciãos desta cidade, mais próximos do morto, lavarão as mãos sobre a novilha desnucada no vale
7 and shall respond, and say,Our hands, shed not this blood, neither did, our eyes, see .
7 e dirão: As nossas mãos não derramaram este sangue, e os nossos olhos o não viram derramar-se.
8 Be propitious unto thy people Israel whom thou hast redeemed, O Yahweh, and do not impute innocent blood in the midst of thy people Israel. So shall they obtain propitiation for the guilt of shedding blood.
8 Sê propício ao teu povo de Israel, que tu, ó Senhor , resgataste, e não ponhas a culpa do sangue inocente no meio do teu povo de Israel. E a culpa daquele sangue lhe será perdoada.
9 Thou, therefore shalt consume the guilt of shedding innocent blood out of thy midst,when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh.
9 Assim, eliminarás a culpa do sangue inocente do meio de ti, pois farás o que é reto aos olhos do Senhor .
10 When thou shalt go forth to war against thine enemies,and Yahweh thy God shall deliver them into thy hand and thou shalt take them captive;
10 Quando saíres à peleja contra os teus inimigos, e o Senhor , teu Deus, os entregar nas tuas mãos, e tu deles levares cativos,
11 and shalt see among the captives a woman of beautiful figure,and shalt have a desire unto her, and wouldest take her to thee to wife,
11 e vires entre eles uma mulher formosa, e te afeiçoares a ela, e a quiseres tomar por mulher,
12 then shalt thou bring her into the midst of thy house,and she shall shave her head and pare her nails;
12 então, a levarás para casa, e ela rapará a cabeça, e cortará as unhas,
13 and put away the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thy house, and bewail her father and her mother for the space of a month,and after that, mayest thou go in unto her, and he her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
13 e despirá o vestido do seu cativeiro, e ficará na tua casa, e chorará a seu pai e a sua mãe durante um mês. Depois disto, a tomarás; tu serás seu marido, e ela, tua mulher.
14 And it shall be, if thou hast no pleasure in her, then shalt thou let her go whither she will but thou shalt not sell, her for silver,thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
14 E, se não te agradares dela, deixá-la-ás ir à sua própria vontade; porém, de nenhuma sorte, a venderás por dinheiro, nem a tratarás mal, pois a tens humilhado.
15 When a man shall have two wivesthe one beloved and, the other hated, and they have borne him sons, both she that is beloved, and she that is hated,and it shall be that the firstborn son belongeth to her that is hated,
15 Se um homem tiver duas mulheres, uma a quem ama e outra a quem aborrece, e uma e outra lhe derem filhos, e o primogênito for da aborrecida,
16 then shall it be, that in the day when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, he may not treat the son of the beloved, instead of the son of the hated, as the firstborn;
16 no dia em que fizer herdar a seus filhos aquilo que possuir, não poderá dar a primogenitura ao filho da amada, preferindo-o ao filho da aborrecida, que é o primogênito.
17 but the true firstborn the son of her that is hated, shall he treat as firstborn by giving him double out of all that is found to be his,for, he, is the beginning of hi strength, his, is the right of the firstborn.
17 Mas ao filho da aborrecida reconhecerá por primogênito, dando-lhe dobrada porção de tudo quanto possuir, porquanto aquele é o primogênito do seu vigor; o direito da primogenitura é dele.
18 When a man hath a son, rebellious and insulting, who will not hearken to the voice of his father, and to the voice of his mother,though they chastise him, yet will not hearken unto them,
18 Se alguém tiver um filho contumaz e rebelde, que não obedece à voz de seu pai e à de sua mãe e, ainda castigado, não lhes dá ouvidos,
19 then shall his father and his mother, lay hold of him,and bring him forth unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
19 seu pai e sua mãe o pegarão, e o levarão aos anciãos da cidade, à sua porta,
20 and shall say unto the elders of his city: This our son, is rebellious and insulting,he will not hearken unto our voice,a glutton and a tippler.
20 e lhes dirão: Este nosso filho é rebelde e contumaz, não dá ouvidos à nossa voz, é dissoluto e beberrão.
21 Then shall all the men of his city stone him with stones that he die, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst,and, all Israel, shall hear and fear.
21 Então, todos os homens da sua cidade o apedrejarão até que morra; assim, eliminarás o mal do meio de ti; todo o Israel ouvirá e temerá.
22 But when there shall be in any man a sin worthy of death and he is to be put to death,and thou shalt hang him on a tree,
22 Se alguém houver pecado, passível da pena de morte, e tiver sido morto, e o pendurares num madeiro,
23 his dead body shall not remain all night upon the tree but thou shalt bury, him on the same day, for a reproach unto God, is he that is hanged,so shalt thou not make unclean thy soil which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance.
23 o seu cadáver não permanecerá no madeiro durante a noite, mas, certamente, o enterrarás no mesmo dia; porquanto o que for pendurado no madeiro é maldito de Deus; assim, não contaminarás a terra que o Senhor , teu Deus, te dá em herança.
