1 And it came to pass, when the king had taken up his abode in his house,and Yahweh had given him rest round about, from all his enemies,
1 E sucedeu, quando o rei se assentou na sua casa, e o SENHOR lhe tinha dado descanso de todos os seus inimigos ao seu redor;
2 that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See, I pray theeI, have my abode in a house, of cedar, but, the ark of God, abideth in, the midst, of curtains.
2 que o rei disse a Natã, o profeta: Vê, agora que habito em uma casa de cedro, mas a arca de Deus habita dentro de cortinas.
3 And Nathan said unto the king, All that is in thy heart, godo,for Yahweh is with thee.
3 E Natã disse ao rei: Vai, faz tudo o que está no teu coração; porquanto o SENHOR está contigo.
4 But so it was, in that night, that the word of Yahweh came unto Nathan, saying:
4 E sucedeu, naquela noite, que a palavra do SENHOR veio a Natã, dizendo:
5 Go and say unto my servantunto David: Thus, saith Yahweh,Shalt, thou, build me a house, for me to dwell in;
5 Vai e diz ao meu servo Davi: Assim diz o SENHOR: Edificar-me-ás tu uma casa na qual eu habite?
6 seeing that I have not dwelt in a house, since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even unto this day,but have been wandering in a tent as my habitation?
6 Ainda que eu não tenha habitado em nenhuma casa desde o tempo em que fiz subir os filhos de Israel do Egito, até este dia, mas eu adentro uma tenda e em um tabernáculo.
7 Wheresoever I have wandered with any of the sons of Israel, spake I ever, a word, with any one of the tribes of Israel, whom I charged to shepherd my people Israel, saying,Wherefore have ye not built me a house, of cedar?
7 Em todos os lugares nos quais tenho caminhado com todos os filhos de Israel, falei alguma palavra com cada uma das tribos de Israel, a quem ordenei que alimentasse o meu povo Israel, dizendo: Por que não me edifiqueis uma casa de cedro?
8 Now, therefore, thus, shalt thou say unto my servant, unto David: Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I myself, took thee away from the pasture, from after the flock,to become leader over my people, over Israel;
8 Agora, portanto, assim dirás ao meu servo Davi: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eu te tirei do aprisco, do apascentar das ovelhas, para ser soberano sobre o meu povo, sobre Israel;
9 and was with thee, whithersoever thou didst go, and have cut off all thine enemies, from before thee,and will make thee a name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth;
9 e eu estava contigo onde quer que ias, e cortei todos os teus inimigos da tua vista, e fiz de ti um grande nome, comparável ao nome dos grandes homens que estão na terra.
10 and will appoint a place for my people, for Israel, and will plant them, and they shall inhabit their place, and be unsettled no more,neither shall the sons of perversity again humiliate them, as at first;
10 Ademais, indicarei um lugar para o meu povo, Israel, e os plantarei, para que possam habitar em um local que lhes seja próprio, e não mais se mudem, tampouco os filhos da impiedade voltarão a afligi-los como outrora,
11 even from the day when I put judges in charge over my people Israel, thus will I give thee rest from all thine enemies. And Yahweh must tell thee that, a house, will Yahweh make for thee.
11 e desde a época em que ordenei juízes para estarem sobre o meu povo, Israel; tenho feito com que descanses de todos os teus inimigos. O SENHOR também te declara que te edificará uma casa.
12 And it shall be that, when thy days shall be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, then will I raise up thy seed after thee, which proceedeth from thine own body,and I will establish his kingdom.
12 E quando os teus dias se cumprirem, e tu dormires com os teus pais, prepararei a tua semente após ti, a qual procederá das tuas entranhas, e estabelecerei o teu reino.
13 He, shall build a house for my name,and I will establish his kingly throne unto times age-abiding:
13 Ele edificará uma casa para o meu nome, e eu estabelecerei o trono do seu reino para sempre.
14 I, will become his father, And, he, shall become my son: If he commit iniquity, then will I correct him, with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men;
14 Eu serei o seu pai, e ele será o meu filho. Se ele cometer iniquidade, eu o castigarei com a vara dos homens, e com os açoites dos filhos dos homens;
15 But, my lovingkindness, shall not depart from him,as I caused it to depart from Saul, whom I caused to depart from before thee.
15 porém a minha misericórdia não se retirará dele, como a retirei de Saul, o qual eu retirei de diante de ti.
16 So shall thy house and thy kingdom be made steadfast unto times age-abiding, before thee,thy throne, shall be established unto times age-abiding.
16 E a tua casa e o teu reino serão estabelecidos para sempre diante de ti; o teu trono será estabelecido para sempre.
17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so, spake Nathan unto David.
17 De acordo com todas estas palavras, e de acordo com toda esta visão, assim falou Natã a Davi.
18 Then entered King David, and tarried before Yahweh,and saidWho am, I, My Lord, Yahweh, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me, hitherto;
18 Então o rei Davi entrou, e se assentou diante do SENHOR, e disse: Quem sou eu, ó Senhor DEUS? E o que é a minha casa, para que tu me tragas para aqui?
19 and hast yet further made this seem little in thine eyes, My Lord, Yahweh, in that thou hast spoken, even of the house, of thy servant, for a great while to come? This, then is the law of manhood, O My Lord, Yahweh!
19 E isto ainda foi algo pequeno à tua vista, ó Senhor DEUS; mas tu também tens falado da casa do teu servo por um grande período por vir. E é esta a maneira do homem, ó Senhor DEUS?
20 What more, then, can David yet further speak unto thee,seeing that, thou thyself knowest thy servant, O My Lord Yahweh?
20 E o que mais Davi pode te dizer? Porque tu, SENHOR Deus, conheces o teu servo.
21 For the sake of thine own word, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this great thing,making it known unto thy servant.
21 Por causa da tua palavra, e segundo o teu próprio coração, tens feito todas estas grandes coisas, para fazer o teu servo conhecê-las.
22 For this cause, hast thou magnified thyself, O Yahweh Elohim,for there is none like unto, thee, yea there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
22 Por que tu és grande, ó SENHOR DEUS; pois não há nenhum como tu, nem há qualquer Deus ao teu lado, segundo tudo o que temos ouvido com os nossos ouvidos.
23 Who, then, is like thy people, like Israel, a nation alone in the earth? whom God went to redeem for himself as a people, so to make himself a name, and to do for you the great deed, fearful things also for thy land, to make way for thy people, whom thou hadst redeemed for thyself, out of Egypt, nations and their gods;
23 E que nação na terra é como o teu povo, como Israel, a quem Deus foi redimir como um povo para si mesmo, e para fazer dele um nome, coisas grandes e tremendas, para a tua terra, diante do teu povo, o qual tu redimiste do Egito, das nações e dos seus deuses?
24 and hast established for thyself thy people Israelfor thyself as a people, unto times age-abiding,thou thyself, also, O Yahweh, becoming their God.
24 Porque confirmaste para ti mesmo o teu povo Israel, para ser um povo para ti para sempre; e tu, SENHOR, tornaste-te o seu Deus.
25 Now, therefore, O Yahweh Elohim, the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm thou, unto times age-abiding,and do, as thou hast spoken:
25 E agora, ó SENHOR Deus, a palavra que falaste acerca do teu servo, e acerca da sua casa, estabelece-a para sempre, e faz conforme tu tens dito.
26 that thy name may be age-abidingly magnified, saying, Yahweh of hosts, is God over Israel, and so, the house of thy servant David, be established before thee.
26 E que o teu nome seja magnificado para sempre, dizendo-se: O SENHOR dos Exércitos é o Deus sobre Israel; e que a casa do teu servo Davi seja estabelecida diante de ti.
27 For, thou, O Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, hast unveiled the ear of thy servant, sayingA house, will I build for thee. For this cause, hath thy servant found in his heart, to pray unto thee, this prayer.
27 Porque tu, ó SENHOR dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel, tens revelado ao teu servo, dizendo: Edificarei para ti uma casa; portanto, o teu servo achou no seu coração fazer esta oração a ti.
28 Now, therefore, O My Lord, Yahweh, thou, art God, and, thy words, shall prove true,therefore hast thou spoken unto thy servant this goodness.
28 E agora, ó SENHOR Deus, tu és aquele Deus, e as tuas palavras são verdadeiras, e tu tens prometido esta bondade ao teu servo;
29 Now, therefore, be pleased to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue age-abidingly before thee,for, thou, O My Lord, Yahweh, hast spoken, therefore, with thine own blessing, shall the house of thy servant be age-abidingly blessed.
29 portanto, agora, que te compraza abençoar a casa do teu servo, para que ela possa continuar para sempre diante de ti; porque tu, ó Senhor DEUS, falaste isso e, com a tua bênção, que a casa do teu servo seja abençoada para sempre.
