1 And it came to pass, when the king had taken up his abode in his house,and Yahweh had given him rest round about, from all his enemies,
1 E sucedeu que, estando o rei Davi em sua casa, e tendo o SENHOR lhe dado descanso de todos os seus inimigos em redor,
2 that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See, I pray theeI, have my abode in a house, of cedar, but, the ark of God, abideth in, the midst, of curtains.
2 Disse o rei ao profeta Natã: Eis que eu moro em casa de cedro, e a arca de Deus mora dentro de cortinas.
3 And Nathan said unto the king, All that is in thy heart, godo,for Yahweh is with thee.
3 E disse Natã ao rei: Vai, e faze tudo quanto está no teu coração; porque o Senhor é contigo.
4 But so it was, in that night, that the word of Yahweh came unto Nathan, saying:
4 Porém sucedeu naquela mesma noite, que a palavra do Senhor veio a Natã, dizendo:
5 Go and say unto my servantunto David: Thus, saith Yahweh,Shalt, thou, build me a house, for me to dwell in;
5 Vai, e dize a meu servo Davi: Assim diz o Senhor: Edificar-me-ás tu uma casa para minha habitação?
6 seeing that I have not dwelt in a house, since the day that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even unto this day,but have been wandering in a tent as my habitation?
6 Porque em casa nenhuma habitei desde o dia em que fiz subir os filhos de Israel do Egito até ao dia de hoje; mas andei em tenda e em tabernáculo.
7 Wheresoever I have wandered with any of the sons of Israel, spake I ever, a word, with any one of the tribes of Israel, whom I charged to shepherd my people Israel, saying,Wherefore have ye not built me a house, of cedar?
7 E em todo o lugar em que andei com todos os filhos de Israel, falei porventura alguma palavra a alguma das tribos de Israel, a quem mandei apascentar o meu povo de Israel, dizendo: Por que não me edificais uma casa de cedro?
8 Now, therefore, thus, shalt thou say unto my servant, unto David: Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I myself, took thee away from the pasture, from after the flock,to become leader over my people, over Israel;
8 Agora, pois, assim dirás ao meu servo Davi: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Eu te tomei da malhada, de detrás das ovelhas, para que fosses o soberano sobre o meu povo, sobre Israel.
9 and was with thee, whithersoever thou didst go, and have cut off all thine enemies, from before thee,and will make thee a name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth;
9 E fui contigo, por onde quer que foste, e destruí a teus inimigos diante de ti; e fiz grande o teu nome, como o nome dos grandes que há na terra.
10 and will appoint a place for my people, for Israel, and will plant them, and they shall inhabit their place, and be unsettled no more,neither shall the sons of perversity again humiliate them, as at first;
10 E prepararei lugar para o meu povo, para Israel, e o plantarei, para que habite no seu lugar, e não mais seja removido, e nunca mais os filhos da perversidade o aflijam, como dantes,
11 even from the day when I put judges in charge over my people Israel, thus will I give thee rest from all thine enemies. And Yahweh must tell thee that, a house, will Yahweh make for thee.
11 E desde o dia em que mandei que houvesse juízes sobre o meu povo Israel; a ti, porém, te dei descanso de todos os teus inimigos; também o Senhor te faz saber que te fará casa.
12 And it shall be that, when thy days shall be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, then will I raise up thy seed after thee, which proceedeth from thine own body,and I will establish his kingdom.
12 Quando teus dias forem completos, e vieres a dormir com teus pais, então farei levantar depois de ti um dentre a tua descendência, o qual sairá das tuas entranhas, e estabelecerei o seu reino.
13 He, shall build a house for my name,and I will establish his kingly throne unto times age-abiding:
13 Este edificará uma casa ao meu nome, e confirmarei o trono do seu reino para sempre.
14 I, will become his father, And, he, shall become my son: If he commit iniquity, then will I correct him, with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men;
14 Eu lhe serei por pai, e ele me será por filho; e, se vier a transgredir, castigá-lo-ei com vara de homens, e com açoites de filhos de homens.
15 But, my lovingkindness, shall not depart from him,as I caused it to depart from Saul, whom I caused to depart from before thee.
15 Mas a minha benignidade não se apartará dele; como a tirei de Saul, a quem tirei de diante de ti.
16 So shall thy house and thy kingdom be made steadfast unto times age-abiding, before thee,thy throne, shall be established unto times age-abiding.
16 Porém a tua casa e o teu reino serão firmados para sempre diante de ti; teu trono será firme para sempre.
17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so, spake Nathan unto David.
17 Conforme a todas estas palavras, e conforme a toda esta visão, assim falou Natã a Davi.
18 Then entered King David, and tarried before Yahweh,and saidWho am, I, My Lord, Yahweh, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me, hitherto;
18 Então entrou o rei Davi, e ficou perante o SENHOR, e disse: Quem sou eu, Senhor DEUS, e qual é a minha casa, para que me tenhas trazido até aqui?
19 and hast yet further made this seem little in thine eyes, My Lord, Yahweh, in that thou hast spoken, even of the house, of thy servant, for a great while to come? This, then is the law of manhood, O My Lord, Yahweh!
19 E ainda foi isto pouco aos teus olhos, Senhor DEUS, senão que também falaste da casa de teu servo para tempos distantes; é este o procedimento dos homens, ó Senhor DEUS?
20 What more, then, can David yet further speak unto thee,seeing that, thou thyself knowest thy servant, O My Lord Yahweh?
20 E que mais te pode dizer ainda Davi? Pois tu conheces bem a teu servo, ó Senhor DEUS.
21 For the sake of thine own word, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this great thing,making it known unto thy servant.
21 Por causa da tua palavra, e segundo o teu coração, fizeste toda esta grandeza; fazendo-a saber a teu servo.
22 For this cause, hast thou magnified thyself, O Yahweh Elohim,for there is none like unto, thee, yea there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
22 Portanto, grandioso és, ó Senhor Deus, porque não há semelhante a ti, e não há outro Deus senão tu só, segundo tudo o que temos ouvido com os nossos ouvidos.
23 Who, then, is like thy people, like Israel, a nation alone in the earth? whom God went to redeem for himself as a people, so to make himself a name, and to do for you the great deed, fearful things also for thy land, to make way for thy people, whom thou hadst redeemed for thyself, out of Egypt, nations and their gods;
23 E quem há como o teu povo, como Israel, gente única na terra, a quem Deus foi resgatar para seu povo, para fazer-te nome, e para fazer-vos estas grandes e terríveis coisas à tua terra, diante do teu povo, que tu resgataste do Egito, desterrando as nações e a seus deuses?
24 and hast established for thyself thy people Israelfor thyself as a people, unto times age-abiding,thou thyself, also, O Yahweh, becoming their God.
24 E confirmaste a teu povo Israel por teu povo para sempre, e tu, Senhor, te fizeste o seu Deus.
25 Now, therefore, O Yahweh Elohim, the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm thou, unto times age-abiding,and do, as thou hast spoken:
25 Agora, pois, ó Senhor Deus, esta palavra que falaste acerca de teu servo e acerca da sua casa, confirma-a para sempre, e faze como tens falado.
26 that thy name may be age-abidingly magnified, saying, Yahweh of hosts, is God over Israel, and so, the house of thy servant David, be established before thee.
26 E engrandeça-se o teu nome para sempre, para que se diga: O Senhor dos Exércitos é Deus sobre Israel; e a casa de teu servo será confirmada diante de ti.
27 For, thou, O Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, hast unveiled the ear of thy servant, sayingA house, will I build for thee. For this cause, hath thy servant found in his heart, to pray unto thee, this prayer.
27 Pois tu, Senhor dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel, revelaste aos ouvidos de teu servo, dizendo: Edificar-te-ei uma casa. Portanto o teu servo se animou para fazer-te esta oração.
28 Now, therefore, O My Lord, Yahweh, thou, art God, and, thy words, shall prove true,therefore hast thou spoken unto thy servant this goodness.
28 Agora, pois, Senhor DEUS, tu és o mesmo Deus, e as tuas palavras são verdade, e tens falado a teu servo este bem.
29 Now, therefore, be pleased to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue age-abidingly before thee,for, thou, O My Lord, Yahweh, hast spoken, therefore, with thine own blessing, shall the house of thy servant be age-abidingly blessed.
29 Sê, pois, agora servido de abençoar a casa de teu servo, para permanecer para sempre diante de ti, pois tu, ó Senhor DEUS, o disseste; e com a tua bênção será para sempre bendita a casa de teu servo.
