1 Now, Elisha the prophet, called one of the sons of the prophets,and said to himGird up thy loins, and take this flask of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead;
1 E Eliseu, o profeta, chamou um dos filhos dos profetas, e disse-lhe: Cinge os teus lombos, e toma esta caixa de azeite na tua mão, e vai até Ramote-Gileade;
2 and, when thou art come in thither, then look thee out, there, Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi; and thou shalt enter and get him to rise up out of the midst of his brethren, and take him into an inner chamber;
2 e quando tu fores para lá, procura Jeú, o filho de Josafá, o filho de Ninsi, e entra, e faz com que ele se levante dentre os seus irmãos, e leva-o para uma câmara interior;
3 then shalt thou take the flask of oil, and pour out upon his head, and sayThus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel! Then shalt thou open the door and flee, and not tarry.
3 então, toma a caixa de azeite, e a derrama sobre a sua cabeça, e diz: Assim diz o SENHOR: Tenho te ungido rei sobre Israel. Então, abre a porta, e foge, e não te detenhas.
4 So the young man went his waythe young man the prophetunto Ramoth-gilead.
4 Assim, o jovem profeta foi até Ramote-Gileade.
5 And, when he came up, lo! the captains of the force, sitting, and he saidA word, have I, for thee, O captain! And Jehu saidFor which, of us all? And he said,For thee, O captain!
5 E, quando ele chegou, eis que os capitães do exército estavam assentados; e ele disse: Eu tenho um recado para ti, ó capitão. E Jeú disse: Para qual dentre todos nós? E ele disse: Para ti, ó capitão.
6 Then rose he up and went inside, and poured out the oil upon his head, and said unto himThus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, I have anointed thee to be king unto the people of Yahweh, unto Israel;
6 E ele se levantou, e entrou na casa; e derramou o azeite sobre a sua cabeça, e lhe disse: Assim diz o SENHOR Deus de Israel: Tenho te ungido rei sobre o povo do SENHOR, a saber, sobre Israel.
7 and thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy lord,so will I avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Yahweh, at the hand of Jezebel;
7 E tu ferirás a casa de Acabe, o teu mestre, para que eu possa vingar o sangue dos meus servos, os profetas, e o sangue de todos os servos do SENHOR, da mão de Jezabel.
8 so shall perish all the house of Ahab,and I will cut off to Ahab the meanest, both him that is shut up and him that is left at large, in Israel.
8 Porque toda a casa de Acabe perecerá; e eu cortarei de Acabe aquele que mija contra a parede, e aquele que está escravo e livre em Israel;
9 Yea I will deliver up the house of Ahab, like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat,and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah:
9 e eu farei a casa de Acabe como a casa de Jeroboão, o filho de Nebate, e como a casa de Baasa, o filho de Aías;
10 And, as for Jezebel, the dogs shall eat
10 e os cães comerão Jezabel na porção de Jezreel, e não haverá ali nenhum para enterrá-la. E ele abriu a porta, e fugiu.
11 Then, Jehu, came forth unto the servants of his lord, and one said to himIs all well? why came this madman unto thee? And he said unto them, Ye, know, the man and his message.
11 Então, Jeú saiu até aos servos do seu senhor; e um lhe disse: Está tudo bem? Por que este louco veio até ti? E ele disse-lhes: Vós conheceis o homem e a sua comunicação.
12 And they saidFalse! pray tell, us. And he said,Thus and thus, spake he unto me, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, I have anointed thee to be king unto Israel.
12 E eles disseram: Isto é falso; conta-nos agora. E disse-lhe: Assim e assim falou ele a mim, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR: Tenho te ungido rei sobre Israel.
13 Then hasted they, and took, every man his garment, and put it under him, upon the very steps,and blew with a horn, and said, Jehu, is king!
13 Então eles apressaram-se, e tomando cada um a sua vestimenta puseram debaixo dele, no alto das escadarias, e sopraram as trombetas, dizendo: Jeú é rei.
14 Thus did Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi conspire against Joram,when, Joram, was watching Ramoth-gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.
14 Assim, Jeú, o filho de Josafá, o filho de Ninsi, conspirou contra Jorão. (Ora, Jorão havia aprisionado Ramote-Gileade, ele e todo o Israel, por causa de Hazael, rei da Síria.
15 But Jehoram the king had returned to get himself healed in Jezreel, of the wounds wherewith the Syrians had wounded him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria. Then said JehuIf such is your mind, let no fugitive get forth out of the city, to go and tell it in Jezreel.
15 Porém o rei Jorão havia retornado a Jezreel para ser curado dos ferimentos que os sírios lhe haviam causado, quando ele lutou contra Hazael, rei da Síria). E Jeú disse: Se isto está em vossas mentes, então que ninguém saia nem escape da cidade para ir e contar isto em Jezreel.
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went towards Jezreel, for, Joram, was lying there,and, Ahaziah king of Judah, had come down to see Joram.
16 Assim, Jeú subiu em uma carruagem, e foi até Jezreel; porque Jorão ali estava deitado. E Acazias, rei de Judá, havia descido para ver Jorão.
17 Now, the watchman, was standing upon the tower, in Jezreel, so he saw the great company of Jehu, when he came, and saidA great company, can I see! Then said JehoramTake a horseman and send to meet them, that he may sayIs it peace?
17 E um atalaia estava ali de pé sobre a torre em Jezreel, e ele espionava a companhia de Jeú enquanto ele vinha, e disse: Vejo uma companhia. E Jorão disse: Toma um cavaleiro, e envia-o para se encontrar com eles, e que ele diga: Isto é paz?
18 So the horseman went to meet him, and saidThus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu saidWhat hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came up to them, but hath not turned back.
18 Assim lá se foi um em lombo de cavalo para se encontrar com ele, e disse: Assim diz o rei: Isto é paz? E Jeú disse: O que tens tu a fazer com a paz? Volve-te para trás de mim. E o atalaia contou, dizendo: O mensageiro chegou até eles, mas ele não retorna.
19 Then sent he a second horseman, and he came up to them and said, Thus, saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu saidWhat hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
19 Então, ele enviou um segundo em lombo de cavalo, o qual veio a eles, e disse: Assim diz o rei: Isto é paz? E Jeú respondeu: O que tens tu a fazer com a paz? Volve-te para trás de mim.
20 And the watchman told, saying, He came up to them, but hath not turned back,and, the driving, is like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi; for, with mad haste, doth he drive.
20 E o atalaia contou, dizendo: Ele chegou mesmo até eles, e não retorna; e o conduzir é semelhante ao conduzir de Jeú, o filho de Ninsi; pois conduz furiosamente.
21 Then said Jehoram, Harness! So one harnessed his chariot,and Jehoram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went forth, each man in his chariot, yea they went forth to meet Jehu, and came upon him in the heritage of Naboth the Jezreelite.
21 E Jorão disse: Preparai-vos. E a sua carruagem foi preparada. E Jorão, rei de Israel, e Acazias, rei de Judá saíram, cada um na sua carruagem, e eles saíram contra Jeú, e o encontraram na porção de Nabote, o jezreelita.
22 And it came to pass, when Jehoram saw Jehu, that he saidIs it peace, Jehu? And he saidWhat can be the peace, while thy mother Jezebels harlotries and her incantations do so abound?
22 E sucedeu, quando Jorão viu Jeú, que ele disse: Isto é paz, Jeú? E ele respondeu: Que paz, enquanto as prostituições da tua mãe, Jezabel, e as suas feitiçarias são tantas?
23 Then Jehoram turned his hands, and fled,and said unto AhaziahTreachery! O Ahaziah!
23 E Jorão virou as suas mãos, e fugiu, e disse a Acazias: É traição, ó Acazias.
24 And, Jehu, bent his bow, and smote Jehoram, between his arms,and the arrow came out at his heart,and he sank down in his chariot.
24 E Jeú entesou um arco com toda a sua força, e feriu Jorão entre os seus braços, e a flecha saiu no seu coração, e ele afundou-se na sua carruagem.
25 Then said he unto Bidkar his officer, Take cast him forth, into the field-portion of Naboth the Jezreelite,for remember, when I and thou were riding as a couple together after Ahab his father, that, Yahweh, laid upon him this doom:
25 Então, disse Jeú a Bidcar, o seu capitão: Levanta-o e lança-o na porção do campo de Nabote, o jezreelita; porque te lembras como, quando eu e tu cavalgávamos juntos atrás de Acabe, o seu pai, o SENHOR colocou esta carga sobre ele;
26 Surely, the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons, have I lately seen, declareth Yahweh, therefore will I requite thee in this portion, declareth Yahweh. Now, therefore, take cast him forth into the portion, according to the word of Yahweh.
26 seguramente, ontem vi o sangue de Nabote, e o sangue dos seus filhos, diz o SENHOR; e eu me desforrarei de ti neste pedaço de terra, diz o SENHOR. Agora, portanto, toma-o e lança-o no pedaço de terra, segundo a palavra do SENHOR.
27 And, Ahaziah king of Judah, saw it, and fled by the way of the garden house,and Jehu pursued him, and saidHim also! smite him in the chariot! It was in the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Mepidgo, and died there.
27 Porém, quando Acazias, o rei de Judá, viu isto, ele fugiu pelo caminho da casa do jardim. E Jeú o perseguiu, e disse: Feri-o também na carruagem. E eles assim o fizeram na subida de Gur, a qual fica junto a Ibleão. E ele fugiu para Megido, e lá morreu.
28 And his servants conveyed him in a chariot and brought him into Jerusalem,and buried him in his sepulchre, with his fathers, in the city of David.
28 E os seus servos o carregaram em uma carruagem até Jerusalém, e o sepultaram no seu sepulcro com os seus pais, na cidade de Davi.
29 Now it was, in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab, that Ahaziah began to reign over Judah.
29 E no décimo primeiro ano de Jorão, o filho de Acabe, começou a reinar Acazias sobre Judá.
30 Now, when Jehu entered Jezreel and, Jezebel, heard of it, she set her eyes in stibium, and ornamented her head, and looked forth through the lattice.
30 E quando Jeú chegou a Jezreel, Jezabel ouviu a respeito; e ela pintou a face, e ataviou a cabeça, e olhou por uma janela.
31 So, when, Jehu, had entered in at the gate, she said, Was it peace, when Zimri slew his lord?
31 E quando Jeú entrou pelo portão, ela disse: Teve paz Zinri, que matou a seu senhor?
32 And he lifted up his face unto the lattice, and saidWho, is with me? Who? And there looked out unto him, two or three eunuchs.
32 E ele levantou a sua face em direção à janela, e disse: Quem está do meu lado? Quem? E ali olhavam para ele dois ou três eunucos.
33 And he saidHurl her down. And they hurled her down,and there was sprinkled of her bloodupon the wall, and upon the horses, and they trode upon her.
33 E ele disse: Lançai-a abaixo. Assim, eles a lançaram abaixo; e parte do seu sangue foi respingada na parede, e nos cavalos; e ele calcou-a sob os seus pés.
34 And, when he had entered and eaten and drunk, he saidLook, I pray you, after this accursed woman, and bury her, for the daughter of a king, she is.
34 E, quando ele havia entrado, ele comeu e bebeu, e disse: Ide e vede agora esta mulher maldita, e sepultai-a; porque ela é filha de um rei.
35 So they went to bury her,but found not of hersave the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.
35 E eles foram sepultá-la; mas dela não encontraram nada além da caveira, e os pés, e as palmas das suas mãos.
36 Then came they back, and told him, and he saidThe word of Yahweh, it is, which he spake by the hand of his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, sayingIn the town-land of Jezreel, shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel!
36 Pelo que eles retornaram, e contaram-lhe. E ele disse: Esta é a palavra do SENHOR, a qual ele falou pelo seu servo Elias, o tisbita, dizendo: Na porção de Jezreel os cães comerão a carne de Jezabel;
37 So shall the carcass of Jezebel become like heaps of dung on the face of the field, in the town-land of Jezreel: So that they cannot say, This, is Jezebel!
37 e a carcaça de Jezabel será como esterco sobre a face do campo na porção de Jezreel; de modo que não dirão: Esta é Jezabel.
