1 This third time, am I coming unto you:at the mouth of two witnesses, or three, shall every matter be established.
1 Esta é a terceira vez que vou ter convosco. Por boca de duas ou três testemunhas, toda questão será decidida.
2 I have said beforehand, and do say beforehand,as present the second time, although now absent, unto them who before sinned, and unto all the rest,that, if I come again, I will not spare.
2 Já o disse anteriormente e torno a dizer, como fiz quando estive presente pela segunda vez; mas, agora, estando ausente, o digo aos que, outrora, pecaram e a todos os mais que, se outra vez for, não os pouparei,
3 Since, a test, ye are seeking, of the speaking in me of Christ;who, unto you, is not weak, but is powerful in you,
3 posto que buscais prova de que, em mim, Cristo fala, o qual não é fraco para convosco; antes, é poderoso em vós.
4 For, although he was crucified through weakness, yet is he living through Gods power,for, although, we, are weak in him, yet shall we live with him, through Gods power unto us
4 Porque, de fato, foi crucificado em fraqueza; contudo, vive pelo poder de Deus. Porque nós também somos fracos nele, mas viveremos, com ele, para vós outros pelo poder de Deus.
5 Be trying, yourselves, whether ye are in the faith, be putting, yourselves, to the test! Or do ye not recognise yourselves, seeing that, Jesus Christ, is in you,unless perhaps ye fail in the testing.
5 Examinai-vos a vós mesmos se realmente estais na fé; provai-vos a vós mesmos. Ou não reconheceis que Jesus Cristo está em vós? Se não é que já estais reprovados.
6 I hope, however, that ye shall come to know, that, we, fail not in the testing!
6 Mas espero reconheçais que não somos reprovados.
7 But we pray unto God, that ye may do nothing base,not that, we, may appear, accepted, but that, ye, the honourable thing, may be doing, even though, we, should be, as it were, rejected;
7 Estamos orando a Deus para que não façais mal algum, não para que, simplesmente, pareçamos aprovados, mas para que façais o bem, embora sejamos tidos como reprovados.
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth;
8 Porque nada podemos contra a verdade, senão em favor da própria verdade.
9 For we rejoicewhensoever, we, are weak, and, ye, are, strong. This, also we pray foryour restoration:
9 Porque nos regozijamos quando nós estamos fracos e vós, fortes; e isto é o que pedimos: o vosso aperfeiçoamento.
10 For this cause, these things, while absent, am I writing, that I may not, when present, deal sharplyaccording to the authority which, the Lord, hath given me, for building up and not for pulling down.
10 Portanto, escrevo estas coisas, estando ausente, para que, estando presente, não venha a usar de rigor segundo a autoridade que o Senhor me conferiu para edificação e não para destruir.
11 Finally, brethren, farewell! Be getting restored, be taking encouragement, be of one mind, live in peace,and, the God of love and peace, will be with you.
11 Quanto ao mais, irmãos, adeus! Aperfeiçoai-vos, consolai-vos, sede do mesmo parecer, vivei em paz; e o Deus de amor e de paz estará convosco.
12 Salute ye one another with a holy kiss.
12 Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo. Todos os santos vos saúdam.
13 All the saints, salute you.
13 A graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e o amor de Deus, e a comunhão do Espírito Santo sejam com todos vós.
14 The favour of our Lord Jesus Christ , and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
