1 Then spake Saul unto Jonathan his son, and unto all his servants, that they should put David to death;
1 E Saul falou a Jônatas, seu filho, e a todos os seus servos, que eles deveriam matar Davi.
2 but, Jonathan, Sauls son, delighted in David, exceedingly,so Jonathan told David, saying, Saul, my father, is seeking to put thee to death,now, therefore, take heed to thyself I pray thee, in the morning, and abide thou in concealment, and hide thyself;
2 Porém, Jônatas, o filho de Saul, agradava-se muito de Davi; e Jônatas falou a Davi, dizendo: Saul, o meu pai procura te matar; agora, portanto, rogo-te, acautela-te até o amanhecer, e permanece em um lugar secreto e te esconde;
3 and, I, will come out and stand beside my father, in the field where, thou, art, and, I, will speak of thee unto my father,and, if I see aught, I will tell thee.
3 e eu sairei e permanecerei ao lado do meu pai no campo onde estiveres, e eu conversarei com o meu pai sobre ti; e o que eu vir, isto te contarei.
4 So then Jonathan spake of David things that were good, unto Saul his father,and said unto himMay the king not sin against his servantagainst David; for he hath not sinned against, thee, nay, indeed, his doings have been good to theeward exceedingly.
4 E Jônatas falou bem de Davi para Saul, o seu pai, e lhe disse: Que o rei não peque contra o teu servo, contra Davi; porque não tem pecado contra ti, e porque as suas obras têm sido muito boas para contigo;
5 And, when he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and Yahweh wrought a great victory for all Israel, thou sawest, and didst rejoice. Wherefore, then, shouldst thou sin against innocent blood by putting David to death, without cause?
5 pois ele colocou a sua vida na sua mão, e matou o filisteu, e o SENHOR operou uma grande salvação para todo o Israel; tu o viste e te alegraste; por que, então, pecarás contra sangue inocente ao matar Davi sem um motivo?
6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan,and Saul sware, By the life of Yahweh, he shall not be put to death!
6 E Saul atentou à voz de Jônatas; e Saul jurou: Como vive o SENHOR, ele não será morto.
7 And Jonathan called for David, and Jonathan told him all these things,and Jonathan brought in David unto Saul, and so he was in his presence, as aforetime.
7 E Jônatas chamou Davi, e Jônatas lhe mostrou todas aquelas coisas. E Jônatas trouxe Davi até Saul, e ele ficou em sua presença, como em tempos passados.
8 But, when the war again brake out,and David went forth and fought with the Philistines, and smote them with a great smiting, and they fled before him,
8 E houve guerra novamente; e Davi saiu, e lutou contra os filisteus, e os matou com um grande massacre; e eles fugiram dele.
9 then came there a sad spirit of Yahweh unto Saul, he being in his house, seated, with his spear in his hand,while, David, played with his hand,
9 E o espírito maligno da parte do SENHOR esteve sobre Saul, e ele se assentou na sua casa com o seu dardo na mão; e Davi tocava com a sua mão.
10 Saul sought to smite David with the spear, even to the wall, but he slipped away from before Saul, who smote the spear into the wall,whereas, David, fled and escaped, that night.
10 E Saul procurou ferir Davi contra a parede com o dardo; mas ele se desviou da presença de Saul, e ele cravou o dardo na parede; e Davi fugiu, e escapou naquela noite.
11 And Saul sent messengers unto Davids house, to watch him, and to put him to death, in the morning! And Michal his wife told David, saying, If thou do not deliver thyself to-night, to-morrow, art thou to be put to death.
11 Saul também enviou mensageiros à casa de Davi, para observá-lo, e matá-lo pela manhã; e Mical, a esposa de Davi, lhe contou, dizendo: Se não salvares a tua vida esta noite, pela manhã estarás morto.
12 So Michal let down David, through the window, and he departed and fled, and escaped.
12 Assim, Mical fez Davi descer por uma janela; e ele saiu, e fugiu, e escapou.
13 And Michal took the household god, and put it in the bed, and, a fly-net of goats-hair, put she at its head,and covered it with the clothes.
13 E Mical pegou uma imagem, e a deitou na cama, e colocou um travesseiro de pelo de cabra como apoio, e a cobriu com um tecido.
14 And, when Saul sent messengers to take David, she saidHe is, sick.
14 E quando Saul enviou mensageiros para apanharem Davi, ela disse: Ele está enfermo.
15 So Saul sent messengers to see David, saying,Bring him up in the bed unto me, that I may put him to death.
15 E Saul voltou a enviar mensageiros para verem Davi, dizendo: Tragam-mo até mim no leito, para que eu o mate.
16 And, when the messengers entered, lo! the household god in the bed,with a fly-net of goats-hair at its head.
16 E quando os mensageiros entraram, eis que havia uma imagem na cama, com um travesseiro de pelo de cabra por apoio.
17 And Saul said unto MichalWherefore, in this way, hast thou deceived me, and let go mine enemy, that he hath escaped? Then said Michal unto Saul, He, himself, said unto meLet me go, wherefore should I put thee to death?
17 E Saul disse a Mical: Por que me enganaste assim, e mandaste embora o meu inimigo, para que escapasse? E Mical respondeu a Saul: Ele me disse: Deixa-me ir, por que deveria eu te matar?
18 So, David, fled, and escaped, and came in unto Samuel in Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him,and he and Samuel departed, and dwelt in Naioth.
18 Assim Davi fugiu, e escapou, e veio até Samuel, a Ramá, e lhe contou tudo o que Saul lhe havia feito. E ele e Samuel foram e habitaram em Naiote.
19 And it was told Saul, saying,Lo! David, is in Naioth, in Ramah.
19 E informaram Saul, dizendo: Eis que Davi está em Naiote, em Ramá.
20 So Saul sent messengers to take David, but, when they saw the assembly of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, then came the Spirit of God upon the messengers of Saul, and, they also, were, moved to prophesy.
20 E Saul enviou mensageiros para apanhar Davi; e quando eles viram a companhia dos profetas profetizando, e Samuel liderando sobre eles, o Espírito de Deus desceu sobre os mensageiros de Saul, e eles também profetizaram.
21 And, when they told Saul, and he sent other messengers, then were, they also, moved to prophesy. And, when Saul again sent messengers a third time, then were, they also, moved to prophesy.
21 E quando isto foi dito a Saul, ele enviou outros mensageiros, e eles profetizaram da mesma forma. E Saul voltou a enviar mensageiros pela terceira vez, e eles também profetizaram.
22 Then went, he also himself, to Ramah, and came in as far as the well of the threshing-floor which is in Sephi, and asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one saidLo! in Naioth, in Ramah.
22 Ele, então, foi também para Ramá, e chegou a um grande poço que está em Seco; e ele perguntou e disse: Onde estão Samuel e Davi? E foi dito: Eis que eles estão em Naiote, em Ramá.
23 And, when he departed from thence towards Naioth in Ramah, then came upon, him also, the Spirit of God, and he went on and on, and was moved to prophesy, until he entered Naioth in Ramah.
23 E ele foi para lá, a Naiote, em Ramá; e o Espírito de Deus também esteve sobre ele, e ele seguiu adiante, e profetizou, até chegar a Naiote, em Ramá.
24 And, even he, stripped off his upper garments, and, even he, was moved to prophesy before Samuel, and lay prostrate, disrobed, all that day, and all the night. For this cause, do they say, Is, even Saul, among the prophets?
24 E ele também se despiu das suas roupas, e profetizou diante de Samuel da mesma forma, e ficou deitado nu aquele dia inteiro e aquela noite inteira. Pelo que eles disseram: Está Saul também entre os profetas?
