Romanos 13
The Riverside New Testament (RNT) vs ARA
1 LET every person be obedient to the superior authorities. For there is no authority except from God and the actual authorities have been appointed by God.
1 Todo homem esteja sujeito às autoridades superiores; porque não há autoridade que não proceda de Deus; e as autoridades que existem foram por ele instituídas.
2 So he who resists the authority opposes the arrangement of God. Those who resist will bring on themselves condemnation.
2 De modo que aquele que se opõe à autoridade resiste à ordenação de Deus; e os que resistem trarão sobre si mesmos condenação.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good deeds, but to bad. Do you wish not to fear the authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from it.
3 Porque os magistrados não são para temor, quando se faz o bem, e sim quando se faz o mal. Queres tu não temer a autoridade? Faze o bem e terás louvor dela,
4 For he is a servant of God to promote your good. But if you are doing evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword to no purpose. For he is God's servant to inflict his wrath on him who practices evil.
4 visto que a autoridade é ministro de Deus para teu bem. Entretanto, se fizeres o mal, teme; porque não é sem motivo que ela traz a espada; pois é ministro de Deus, vingador, para castigar o que pratica o mal.
5 Therefore we must be obedient, not only because of the punishment but as a matter of conscience.
5 É necessário que lhe estejais sujeitos, não somente por causa do temor da punição, mas também por dever de consciência.
6 For this reason also you pay tribute. For they are God's officers attending to this very thing.
6 Por esse motivo, também pagais tributos, porque são ministros de Deus, atendendo, constantemente, a este serviço.
7 Pay to all their dues, tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom custom is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.
7 Pagai a todos o que lhes é devido: a quem tributo, tributo; a quem imposto, imposto; a quem respeito, respeito; a quem honra, honra.
8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another. He who loves the other has fulfilled the Law.
8 A ninguém fiqueis devendo coisa alguma, exceto o amor com que vos ameis uns aos outros; pois quem ama o próximo tem cumprido a lei.
9 For the commandments, "Thou shalt not commit adultery," "Thou shalt not commit murder," "Thou shalt not steal," "Thou shalt not covet," and any other that there may be, are summed up in this: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
9 Pois isto: Não adulterarás, não matarás, não furtarás, não cobiçarás, e, se há qualquer outro mandamento, tudo nesta palavra se resume: Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo.
10 Love works no evil to a neighbor. Love therefore is full obedience to the Law.
10 O amor não pratica o mal contra o próximo; de sorte que o cumprimento da lei é o amor.
11 Live thus because you know this crisis, for it is already time for you to awake from sleep. For now our salvation is nearer than when we became believers.
11 E digo isto a vós outros que conheceis o tempo: já é hora de vos despertardes do sono; porque a nossa salvação está, agora, mais perto do que quando no princípio cremos.
12 The night is far spent, the day draws near. Let us put away the deeds of darkness, let us put on the weapons of light.
12 Vai alta a noite, e vem chegando o dia. Deixemos, pois, as obras das trevas e revistamo-nos das armas da luz.
13 Let us live becomingly as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in sensuality and licentiousness, not in quarrelling and jealousy.
13 Andemos dignamente, como em pleno dia, não em orgias e bebedices, não em impudicícias e dissoluções, não em contendas e ciúmes;
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for gratifying physical passions.
14 mas revesti-vos do Senhor Jesus Cristo e nada disponhais para a carne no tocante às suas concupiscências.
