1 ON the first day of the week, early in the morning while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been taken from the tomb.
1 Domingo bem cedo, quando ainda estava escuro, Maria Madalena foi até o túmulo e viu que a pedra que tapava a entrada tinha sido tirada.
2 She ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Master from the tomb and we do not know where they have laid him."
2 Então foi correndo até o lugar onde estavam Simão Pedro e outro discípulo, aquele que Jesus amava, e disse: — Tiraram o Senhor Jesus do túmulo, e não sabemos onde o puseram!
3 Simon Peter and the other disciple went out and made their way to the tomb.
3 Então Pedro e o outro discípulo foram até o túmulo.
4 They were both running, and the other disciple outran Peter and came first to the tomb,
4 Os dois saíram correndo juntos, mas o outro correu mais depressa do que Pedro e chegou primeiro.
5 and stooping he saw the linen cloths lying; but he did not enter.
5 Ele se abaixou para olhar lá dentro e viu os lençóis de linho; porém não entrou no túmulo.
6 Simon Peter came following him and entered the tomb and looked at the linen cloths lying
6 Mas Pedro, que chegou logo depois, entrou. Ele também viu os lençóis colocados ali
7 and the handkerchief that had been about his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place apart.
7 e a faixa que tinham posto em volta da cabeça de Jesus. A faixa não estava junto com os lençóis, mas estava enrolada ali ao lado.
8 Then the other disciple who had come first to the tomb entered, and he saw and believed.
8 Aí o outro discípulo, que havia chegado primeiro, também entrou no túmulo. Ele viu e creu.
9 For they did not yet know the Scripture that he must rise from the dead.
9 (Eles ainda não tinham entendido as Escrituras Sagradas , que dizem que era preciso que Jesus ressuscitasse.)
10 Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.
10 E os dois voltaram para casa.
11 Mary was standing by the tomb outside weeping. As she wept she stooped and looked into the tomb
11 Maria Madalena tinha ficado perto da entrada do túmulo, chorando. Enquanto chorava, ela se abaixou, olhou para dentro
12 and saw two angels in white sitting one at the head and one at the feet where the body of Jesus had lain.
12 e viu dois anjos vestidos de branco, sentados onde tinha sido posto o corpo de Jesus. Um estava na cabeceira, e o outro, nos pés.
13 They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have carried away my Master and I do not know where they have laid him."
13 Os anjos perguntaram: — Mulher, por que você está chorando? Ela respondeu: — Levaram embora o meu Senhor, e eu não sei onde o puseram!
14 After saying this, she turned and saw Jesus standing, but did not recognize that it was Jesus.
14 Depois de dizer isso, ela virou para trás e viu Jesus ali de pé, mas não o reconheceu.
15 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" She, thinking that he was the gardener, said to him, "Sir, if you have removed him, tell me where you have laid him and I will take him away."
15 Então Jesus perguntou: Ela pensou que ele era o jardineiro e por isso respondeu: — Se o senhor o tirou daqui, diga onde o colocou, e eu irei buscá-lo.
16 Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!"
16 — Maria! — disse Jesus. Ela virou e respondeu em — “Rabôni!” (Esta palavra quer dizer “Mestre”.)
17 Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'
17 Jesus disse:
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples, "I have seen the Master," and she told that he had said these things to her.
18 Então Maria Madalena foi e disse aos discípulos de Jesus: — Eu vi o Senhor! E contou o que Jesus lhe tinha dito.
19 In the evening of that day, the first day of the week, when the doors had been closed where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said to them, "Peace be with you."
19 Naquele mesmo domingo, à tarde, os discípulos de Jesus estavam reunidos de portas trancadas, com medo dos líderes judeus. Então Jesus chegou, ficou no meio deles e disse:
20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy on seeing the Master.
20 Em seguida lhes mostrou as suas mãos e o seu lado. E eles ficaram muito alegres ao verem o Senhor.
21 He said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father sent me forth so I am sending you."
21 Então Jesus disse de novo:
22 When he had said this, he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
22 Depois soprou sobre eles e disse:
23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven. If you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
23 Se vocês perdoarem os pecados de alguém, esses pecados são perdoados; mas, se não perdoarem, eles não são perdoados.
24 Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus
24 Acontece que Tomé, um dos discípulos, que era chamado de “o Gêmeo”, não estava com eles quando Jesus chegou.
25 The other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Master." But he said to them, "Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."
25 Então os outros discípulos disseram a Tomé: — Nós vimos o Senhor! Ele respondeu: — Se eu não vir o sinal dos pregos nas mãos dele, e não tocar ali com o meu dedo, e também se não puser a minha mão no lado dele, não vou crer!
26 After eight days the disciples were again within and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood in the midst and said, "Peace be with you."
26 Uma semana depois, os discípulos de Jesus estavam outra vez reunidos ali com as portas trancadas, e Tomé estava com eles. Jesus chegou, ficou no meio deles e disse:
27 Then he said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here. Here are my hands. Reach your hand and put it into my side, and become not faithless, but believing."
27 Em seguida disse a Tomé:
28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"
28 Então Tomé exclamou: — Meu Senhor e meu Deus!
29 Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen me you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
29 — Você creu porque me viu? — disse Jesus. — Felizes são os que não viram, mas assim mesmo creram!
30 Jesus did before the disciples many other signs which are not written in this book.
30 Jesus fez diante dos discípulos muitos outros milagres que não estão escritos neste livro.
31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life through his name.
31 Mas estes foram escritos para que vocês creiam que Jesus é o Messias , o Filho de Deus. E para que, crendo, tenham vida por meio dele.
