1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 kiyólla-hoilé tuáñra toh Malik or meérbanir moza faifelaiyo.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Íbar hañse, yáni hé zinda fattór zibá re maincé inkar gorífelaiye montor Allar basíloiya edde kimot ola, Íbar hañse aiyóne,

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Hétolla toh pak-kalam ot endilla asé,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Hétolla, tuáñra zetará iman ainnó tuáñra lla hé fattór kimot ola, montor zetará iman nú ané ítara lla yián háiṭṭe:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 yián óu:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Montor tuáñra toh eggwá basíloiya nosól, baáñccar imam, pak koum, edde Allar Nizor háas bonda, zeéne zibá ye tuáñra re andár ottu Nizor taajuippa foór ot ḍahai ainné Íbar kuduruti ham or boiyan goró.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ek hale toh tuáñra Allar manúc nu accíla, montor yala tuáñra Íbar manúc; age tuáñra rahám nó foo, montor yala tuáñra rahám faiyó.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ó adorja ókkol, añí tuáñra re fóriyat gorír, tuáñra nizoré bidecí edde forbáci buzí jisími azzu ókkol ottu basi táko, ziíne ruh lói larái goré.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Beyohúdi ókkol or dormiyan ot tuáñrar solasol ṭík raikko, zeéne ítara tuáñra re burai-goróya hoi elzam lagailé yo, tuáñrar bála ham ókkol dekí híin or zoriya, Alla aibár din Íbar taarif goré.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Malik or wasté nizoré hárr insáni hókumot ot gosáido: íba baáñcca óuk zibá uoror tokkat,

14 yáh hákim ókkol, zetará re baáñccar torfóttu difeṛá zah de, burai goróya ókkol ore sáñza dí bolla aar bála ham goróya ókkol ore taarif gorí bolla.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kiyólla-hoilé Allar moncá óilde híyan, tuáñra zen bála ham gorí bekuf ókkol or afáṛaingga hotá ókkol nizám gorífelai faro.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Azad faiyar ḍóilla góri zindigi haṛo, montor nizor azadi re burair gúroni ísafe estemal no goijjó, bólke Allar gulam ísafe goijjó.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Beggún ore izzot goijjó; imandár báiyain dore muhábbot goijjó; Allar ḍoor raikko; baáñcca re izzot goijjó.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Gulam ókkol, furafuri izzot or sáañte nizoré nizor girós or hañse gosáido, siríf gom edde cída gún or hañse no, bólke gáañr gún or hañse yó.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Kiyólla-hoilé yián toh rahámot or laayek, zodi honókiye nizor kíyal ot Alla re rakí nainsáfi duk or tokolif bordac goré.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Kiyólla-hoilé zodi tuáñra hosúri goróne fiṛa hóo de híin sobór or sáañte bordac goró, híyan ot kii súwab asé? Montor zodi sóiyi gán gorí duk foo de híin sobór or sáañte bordac goró, híyan toh Allar hañse rahámot or laayek.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Tuáñra re etollá éna ḍaka giyéh, kiyólla-hoilé Mosih ye toh tuáñra lla duk fai ekkán meésal rakí gíyeh, zeéne tuáñra Íbar hañiye-hañiye solo.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Íba ye no honó guná goijjé,
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Zeñtté Íba ye gail háiye, Íba ye uzan gail nó deh; aar zeñtté duk faiyé, Íba ye dómki nó deh, bólke insáf bisar goré de Íbar hañse Nizoré gosáidiye.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Aar Nize añárar guná re Íbar gaat gori looi kúruc ot loigiyé, zeéne añára guná ttu mori forhésgari lla basi táki. Tuáñra Íbar zohóme beh gom óiyo.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Kiyólla-hoilé bérasóol or ḍóilla tuáñra toh gollot rastat zaat accíl; montor yala tuáñra nizor Soroya edde ruhr Saásita-goróyar hañse fíri aigiyogói.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
