2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;

3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;

4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.

5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.

Por rá nguehca̱ xquí hñe̱me̱hui car Jesucristo, nuquiguɛ co quer bbɛjña̱, parejo guí pɛhtzihui car nzajqui ca jin da tjegue. Pe bbʉ jin guí bbʉbi rá zö quer bbɛjña̱, jin da dyøh ca Ocja̱ bbʉ guí nzojmi gá oración.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Eso, gu øtijʉ ncja ngu̱ ga ma̱m pʉ jar Escritura, i̱na̱:
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Da jiɛh ca rá nttzo cja̱ da dyøti ca rá zö,
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Nu ca Ocja̱ bí jantiguijʉ, i nú̱ rá zö car cja̱hni ca jin gui ndu̱jpite. I øh bbʉ ga nzoh car cja̱hni‑ca̱.
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Nuquiguɛjʉ, bbʉ gui uni ir mʉyjʉ pa gui hmʉpjʉ rá zö, jin to te da cjahquijʉ.
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Xin di bbʉh hnar cja̱hni ca di dyøjtiquijʉ tu̱jni por rá nguehca̱ guír dyøtijʉ ca rá zö, nde̱jma̱ rí ntzöhui da jñu̱ ir mʉyjʉ, como da möxquijʉ ca Ocja̱. Dyo guí tzu̱jʉ cʉ cja̱hni‑cʉ, cja̱ dyo te guí mbe̱nijʉ.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Pe gui hñi̱htzibijʉ car Jesucristo, göhtjo mbo ir tzi mʉyjʉ, cja̱ gui mbe̱nijʉ, guegue ʉm Tzi Jmu̱jʉ ca i mandadoguijʉ. Cja̱ bbʉ to da dyönquijʉ, ¿toca̱ guí e̱me̱jʉ? o ¿ter bɛh ca̱ guí tøhmijʉ? ddahtzʉ grí tja̱dijʉ, gui xijmʉ göhtjo ja i ncja nʉr palabra nʉ dí e̱me̱jʉ, cja̱ gui nzofo cor tti̱jqui.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 Nde̱jma̱ i bbʉh cʉ dda cja̱hni cʉ i tzanquijʉ, i ma̱jmʉ, rá nttzo quir vidajʉ. Nuquiguɛjʉ, gui jña̱jʉ ʉr huɛnda, jin to gui dyøhtibijʉ cosa drá nttzo, pa jin da tte̱me̱ ca i ma̱n cʉ cja̱hni‑cʉ, cja̱ pa jin te gui mbe̱nguɛjʉ. Bbʉ gui hmʉpjʉ ncja ngu̱ rí ntzöhui pa yʉ to i tɛn car Jesucristo, nubbʉ, cʉ cja̱hni cʉ i tzanquijʉ da mɛhtzi ʉ́r tzöjʉ cja̱ da jui̱guijʉ.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Jin gui dyøtijʉ tema cosa rá nttzo, pa jin da ncastigaquijʉ. Pe guejtjo, masque xín da jiɛquijʉ ca Ocja̱ pa da ttʉnquijʉ porque guí dyøtijʉ ca rá zö, bí joh bbʉ gui sufrijʉ ncjapʉ. Pe jin gui tzö bbʉ guí sufrijʉ porque xcrú dyøtijʉ ca rá nttzo.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Gui mbe̱nijʉ ja mí ncja car Jesucristo. Jin te mí tu̱ guegue. Bi ncastiga cja̱ bi du̱ por rá nguejcöjʉ, ndí tu̱jʉ ca rá nttzo. Hna veztjo bi sufri pa bi gu̱ti ca xtá øtijʉ, bi gʉzquigöjʉ‑ca̱, como dí göhtjojʉ dí ndu̱jpitejʉ. Ncjapʉ gá jogui pa xtá cuatijʉ car Tzi Ta ji̱tzi. Bi bböhti guegue, pe jin gá ndu̱ cár tzi mʉy.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 Bbʉ jí̱ bbe mí nantzi car Jesucristo, bi ma cár tzi mʉy pʉ jabʉ mí tøhmi quí nda̱ji̱ cʉ cja̱hni cʉ ya xquí du̱ bbʉ jí̱ bbe mbá e̱ guegue. Bi ma bú xijmʉ to guegue cja̱ co te rá nguehca̱ xcuí hñe̱cua jar jöy. Cja̱ diguebbʉ ya, bi jña̱ ʉ́r jña̱ car Jesús.
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 Cʉ tiempo ya má yabbʉ, bbʉ mí bbʉh car Noé, cʉ cja̱hni jí̱ mí øjtijʉ ca mí ma̱n ca Ocja̱. Cʉ pa‑cʉ, car Noé bi dyøti car ndo barco pʉ jabʉ di ñʉti guegue, bbʉ xti ncja car mʉnti cja̱ di ñu̱xi deje göhtjo nʉr mundo. Nu ca Ocja̱ mí jui̱jqui cʉ cja̱hni. Bi døhmi rá ngu̱ cjeya, xa̱jma̱ di repentijʉ cja̱ di hñe̱me̱jʉ. Pe tengu̱di cʉ cja̱hni bi hñe̱me̱ ca mí ma̱n car Noé, cja̱ bi ñʉtijʉ mbo car ndo barco. Mí jøntsjɛ jña̱jtjo cʉ jin gá ndu̱ pʉ jar deje.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Nugöjʉ, como ngu̱ xtá cuatijʉ jár dyɛ car Jesucristo bbʉ ndú xixtjejʉ, ya jin da zʉjquijʉ car castigo ca ba e̱je̱. Ncja ngu̱ car Noé co cár familia bi huetijʉ bbʉ mí ñu̱xi deje nʉr jöy, cja̱ bi bønijʉ rá zö, nugöjʉ xtú ncjagöjʉ pʉ hne̱je̱. Bbʉ ndú xixtjejʉ, ncjahmʉ dú yojmʉ car Jesucristo bbʉ mí hñögui co bbʉ pé mí nantzi. ¿Te rá nguehca̱ dí xixtjejʉ? Jin dí xixtjejʉ pa da wen cár poxi nʉm cuerpojʉ. Pe dí xixtjejʉ pa gu öjpijʉ ca Ocja̱ da xʉguigui yʉm tzi mʉyjʉ. Nuya, dí yojmʉ car Jesucristo, cja̱ guegue i ddajquijʉ cam nzajquijʉ ddadyo, ncja ngu̱ car nzajqui ca xí mɛhtzi guegue desde bbʉ mí nantzi.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Cam Tzi Jmu̱jʉ Jesucristo ya xí mbøx pʉ ji̱tzi. Nuya, bí ju̱h hnanguadi cár Tzi Ta, i mföxihui i mandadohui. Cʉ ángele co göhtjo cʉ pé dda nda̱ji̱ cʉ i ja̱ ʉ́r cargojʉ pʉ jar ji̱tzi, i i̱htzibijʉ car Cristo cja̱ i øjtibijʉ ca i ma̱.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
