1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 Lɛ -ke -Lagɔꞌɔ nyʋꞌa -kɔkɔɔ gʋgɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌyiti, ꞌɩnnɛ ꞌka-a: ꞌBhlʋkpayowliklagba -lue ꞌꞌdu-o ꞌɔ ꞌꞌyu-u kpaꞌa ꞌnynɔ gɔ ꞌꞌyi.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Ɔ gwɛꞌɛ pipia ꞌꞌyi, ꞌle, nyʋ ɔ ꞌlaꞌa, ɔ ꞌye ꞌle ʋ gbo ꞌɔ lbhʋnʋmʋ lbho ʋn ꞌke linamʋ yi. 3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 ꞌle ɔ ꞌye lbhʋnʋmʋ -lrʋʋ lbho ɔ na: -Bho a mu, a na nyʋ ꞌɩn ꞌlaꞌa -bodɩ: -Aꞌba ꞌbhleyi ꞌlbha-a ꞌɔ ꞌꞌnalɩ ꞌbhleꞌa ꞌcna, lililɩ -gwɛꞌɛ-ɛ ꞌꞌyi, a mu a ꞌke li.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ʋ-bʋ nyʋ ʋn kpaꞌa wlu, ꞌwa dɩ se lililɩ ꞌꞌkpi -nɩ. Ʋn -sɔꞌɔ ꞌmʋ-ɛ, ʋn ꞌmu-o ꞌwa ꞌꞌbhiꞌa dɩ gbo. -Lue -sɔꞌɔ ꞌmʋ, ɔ ꞌmu-o ꞌɔ -kpaa ꞌmʋ, -lrɔɔ -sɔꞌɔ ꞌmʋ, ɔ ꞌmu-o ꞌɔ ꞌpɛlʋpolɩꞌa -da.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 -Yʋ -sieꞌa ꞌbho ꞌkpʋn-o ꞌɔ lbhʋnʋmʋ ꞌmnʋ kwa ꞌmʋ ti, ʋn ꞌye ʋ nyanɩ ꞌmʋ kla ʋn ꞌye ʋ ꞌlbha, ʋn ꞌye ꞌmɛ.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 ꞌBhlʋkpayowli ꞌmnɔ ꞌwɔnꞌɔ dɩ ꞌmnɩ ꞌbɔ, ɔ ꞌpo-o ꞌcɛ, ɔ na: ꞌꞌSroja, a mu, a ꞌke ꞌꞌkulbhamʋ ꞌmnʋ ti-za ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌwa gwlɔ ꞌꞌyripo. ꞌLe ʋn ꞌye ꞌna nʋ -ziaka, ʋn ꞌye yi.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 ꞌBho zɔ -lue ꞌtɩn ꞌmnɛ ꞌli ɔ na ꞌɔ lbhʋnʋmʋ -lrʋʋ-ʋ -sieꞌa ꞌbho -bodɩ: Lililɩ -pi-ɛꞌo ꞌle nyʋ ꞌɩn ꞌlaꞌa, ʋn -see ꞌtɔ lililɩ ꞌmnɩꞌa ꞌlimʋ ꞌꞌyigɔꞌɔ dɩ,
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 a mu ꞌle -jolʋgblɩ -ke -jolʋtɩ ꞌꞌyi, nyɔꞌꞌo nyɔ a-a ꞌyeꞌa ꞌye mʋ, a ꞌlɔ ɔ, a -ke ɔ ꞌke yi.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 ꞌNɔɔ ɔ lbho ꞌʋ a, ꞌɔ lbhʋnʋmʋ ꞌye ꞌle mu, ʋn ꞌye-e dɩꞌa ꞌꞌnyinynimʋ -ke dɩꞌa ꞌꞌyrilinmɔmʋ, ꞌɩnnʋ ʋn ꞌgbʋʋꞌo ꞌꞌlru, ʋn -ke ʋn ꞌye yi, -srɩnɩ! -budu ꞌye nyunyu ꞌꞌyi.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Ʋn -nɩꞌa linamʋ, ꞌbhlʋkpayowli ꞌpa-a ꞌle, ɔ ꞌke nyʋ-ʋ yiꞌa ꞌye. Ɔ -ka ꞌle-e gbʋ, nyɔ -lue se gɔbana ꞌmʋꞌbhle.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 ꞌLe ɔ na: ꞌƖn bha, koo -mnɔɔɔ pʋpaꞌa ꞌmʋti ꞌle -ɩn se gɔbana ꞌmʋꞌbhleꞌa? Ɔ-bɔ nyɔ ꞌmnɔ ꞌnʋ-o blenyi, ɔ -see wɔn -wlu.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 ꞌBhlʋkpayowli na: A kpʋn ɔ, a san ꞌɔ bhɩ -ke sʋɩ, a ꞌke ɔ ꞌle ꞌꞌpiemʋ ꞌnɔɔ -kuyre -nɩꞌa ꞌꞌvuto. Lɛ -ke ɛ gʋgɔꞌɔ ꞌꞌyiti, ꞌɛ ꞌzɔ ꞌka-a: Nyʋ-ʋ -seeꞌa ꞌwɔn -Lagɔ ꞌke ʋ -kɔ, ɔ-ɔ ꞌye -ʋ ꞌle ꞌꞌkɔgwlɛkuyre ꞌmʋ ꞌꞌvuto -mʋ, ꞌnɔɔ ꞌkleyeɛɛ -ke ꞌꞌvivia -nɩꞌa.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 A -gblee, nyʋ ɔ-ɔ ꞌlaꞌa ɔ ꞌke ʋ -kɔ, ʋn -se -sɛ. ꞌLe ꞌwa ꞌꞌklumʋꞌa -yʋ ꞌwɔnꞌɔ ɔ, ɔ -zaꞌa ꞌbho, ʋn se ꞌꞌyi-die.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Ɩ ziꞌa -kaa a, zɔ -lue ꞌzɔ ɔ, *Faliziɛɛn ꞌꞌwe ꞌpa-a ꞌꞌsra, -ka ʋn ꞌka -nyna ꞌle ʋn ꞌka *Zezii dɩ -kpʋn ʋn ꞌke ꞌna bhaga.

16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 ꞌƐ dɩ -a dedeꞌe -ɩnmʋ ti, ꞌWlomɛɛꞌɛ ꞌbhlʋkpayowliklagba na: -A ꞌꞌpɛle lapoo. Ɛ -nmɔꞌɔ -kaa-a ti -a ꞌke ɛ nʋꞌa? -A ꞌꞌpɛle nɛ-ee -ale -aꞌba ꞌꞌpɛle nɛ -le? Koo -a popoꞌo ꞌgwlʋtiꞌa? ꞌTmʋʋ -amʋ.
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Ɔ yiboꞌo-o ꞌwa nyanɩꞌa dɩ ꞌle ɔ na: -Mɩɛ ꞌsɔn wɔn ꞌmʋ ꞌbhlemʋ-a, -ka a ꞌlɛꞌɛ -laa, ɛ -se ꞌka-a a-a popo ꞌgwlʋti -ko. A-a ꞌbi-e ꞌɩnmʋ lemʋ ti a ꞌke ꞌɩnmʋ dɩ -kpʋn. ꞌƐ dɩ ꞌɩn ꞌwɩn ꞌɩ ꞌbɔ.
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 A -ya ꞌɩnmʋ mɔniyʋɛ ꞌmʋ ꞌɩn ꞌke ɛ ꞌye ꞌle ꞌɩn ꞌke ɛ wlu ꞌꞌkpi ꞌꞌdu.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 ꞌLe ʋn -ke ɛ ꞌye yi. Ɔ na; Nyunyɔlru -ke ꞌnynɩ-ɩ -nɩꞌa -laa mɔniyʋɛ ꞌꞌkpi, yɔɔ -kɔ nɩꞌa?
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Ʋn na: ꞌBhlʋkpayowliklagba moꞌo. ꞌLe ɔ na: Kɩn. -Bho ɛ ꞌꞌdu ꞌbhlʋkpayowliꞌa ꞌbhoduɛɛꞌɛ dɩ, a ꞌꞌdu ɔ ꞌbho ꞌle a ꞌke lapoo ꞌꞌpɛle! -Bho ɛ ꞌꞌdu -Lagɔꞌɔ ꞌbhoduɛɛꞌɛ dɩ, a ꞌꞌdu ɔ ꞌbho -lrɛɛ ꞌle a ꞌke ꞌɔ ꞌgwlʋdɩ nʋ!
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Ʋn ꞌwɔnꞌɔ Zeziiꞌa wlu ꞌmnɛ ꞌbɔ ɔ, wɔn ꞌmʋ -ʋ ti ꞌle ʋn ꞌye ɔ ꞌbho sie, ʋn ꞌye mu.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 A -gblee, ꞌle Zelizalɛɛmʋ, nyʋꞌa ꞌplan-a -nɩꞌa ꞌle -lrɛɛ, ꞌɩnnʋ ꞌmo-o *Sadiziɛɛn. -Kaa ʋn-ʋ tɔꞌɔ -kaa nyʋ na: -Bho nyɔ ꞌmɛ ɛ, ꞌɔ -sɔ glu. Zɔ -lue ꞌmnɛ ꞌzɔ, ʋ-bʋ nyʋ ꞌmnʋ, ꞌwa -lrʋʋ -yɛꞌɛ-ɛ *Zezii ꞌle ʋn na:

24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 ꞌBho-o ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu -mɛɛsɔn -nɩꞌo. Zɔ -lue ꞌzɔ ꞌwa ꞌꞌklumʋꞌa -lue ꞌkpa-a ꞌnynɔ, ɔ -ke ʋn -see ꞌꞌyu ꞌwlʋ ɔ ꞌye ꞌmɛ, ꞌle ꞌɔ ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌyu ꞌye ꞌɔ -dɩgbanynɔ kpa.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Ɔbɔ -ke ʋn -see ꞌꞌyu ꞌwlʋ ɔ ꞌye ꞌmɛ -lrɛɛ. ꞌKa ꞌmnɔ ɔ, ʋn -sieꞌa ꞌbho ʋn ꞌꞌluoꞌo -dɩgbanynɔ ꞌmnʋ ꞌmʋ -lue -lue, ʋn -ke ʋn -see ꞌꞌyu ꞌwlʋ, ʋn ꞌye ꞌmɛ.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.

27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 ꞌƐ dɩ, -bho -ɩn na, ꞌle ꞌwɩ -lrɛɛ ꞌli ꞌmɛmʋ-ʋ ꞌye-e glu -sɔ mʋ a, ʋ-bʋ ꞌlotʋꞌa ꞌꞌnynuu -mɛɛsɔn ꞌmnʋ ꞌle, koo ꞌwa ꞌꞌkpidɩ ꞌye ꞌmʋ-nɩ mʋ ꞌbho ꞌnynaakpʋ ꞌmnʋꞌa damʋꞌa? ꞌWa ꞌwee kpʋ ʋ ꞌko-oꞌo. -Bho ʋn -sɔ glu, ꞌbho ꞌwa ꞌꞌklumʋ ꞌle, yɔɔ -ke ꞌnynɔ ʋn ꞌke ꞌꞌduꞌa? ꞌTmʋʋ -amʋ!
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 ꞌLe Zezii na: -Yɛ ꞌma-a ꞌmɛmʋꞌa glusɔɛꞌɛ dɩ, a -see ꞌɛ -lue ꞌtɩn ꞌmʋtiꞌwɔn. A-a ꞌꞌmaa-a aꞌba ꞌꞌbhi, -ɛkedɩmaa, a se -Lagɔꞌɔ wlu yibo ꞌle a ꞌse ꞌɔ wɔnkuɛ yibo -lrɛɛ.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:

A -gblee, -kaabonyʋ -ke -Lagɔ -naꞌa, ꞌka-a ꞌwa ꞌwee -nɩꞌo ꞌbho ꞌɔ ꞌꞌyigbeyi. Lɛ aꞌba ꞌwɔnꞌɔ ꞌmʋti, ꞌɩnnɛ ꞌka-a! ꞌƐ dɩ ꞌɩn nʋꞌo na: A-a ꞌꞌmaa-a aꞌba ꞌꞌbhi. ꞌKa-a Zezii ꞌlɛꞌo.
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se

36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?

37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.

38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.

41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
