1 The word of Jehovah of Hosts came to me.
1 Então recebi outra mensagem do S enhor dos Exércitos:
2 Jehovah of Hosts said: »I am zealous for Zion with great ardor, and I am very zealous for her with great rage.
2 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Tenho muito ciúme do monte Sião e sou consumido de zelo por ele!
3 Jehovah of Hosts said: »I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called the city of truth and the mountain of Jehovah of Hosts, the holy mountain.«
3 “Assim diz o S enhor : Voltarei para o monte Sião e habitarei em Jerusalém. Então Jerusalém será chamada Cidade Fiel, e o monte do S enhor dos Exércitos será chamado Monte Santo.
4 Jehovah of Hosts said: »Old men and old women walk with the help of canes in the streets of Jerusalem. They sit in the city square.
4 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Homens e mulheres idosos voltarão a caminhar apoiados em suas bengalas nas ruas de Jerusalém e se sentarão juntos nas praças,
5 »The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing there in the streets.«
5 e as ruas da cidade ficarão cheias de meninos e meninas brincando.
6 Jehovah of hosts proclaims: »If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?« Said Jehovah of Hosts.
6 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: No momento, isso pode lhes parecer impossível, ó remanescente do povo. Mas acaso é impossível para mim?, diz o S enhor dos Exércitos.
7 Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: »Behold! I will save my people from the land of the east and from the land of the west.
7 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Podem ter certeza de que resgatarei meu povo dos lugares para onde foram levados no leste e no oeste.
8 »I will bring them and they will live in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness!«
8 Eu os trarei de volta para que habitem em Jerusalém. Eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus fiel e justo.
9 Jehovah of hosts said: »Let your hands be strong you who hear these words from the mouth of the prophets. These are words from the day that the foundation of the house of Jehovah of Hosts was laid. It was for the purpose of building the Temple.
9 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Sejam fortes e completem a tarefa! Desde que lançaram os alicerces do templo do S enhor dos Exércitos, vocês têm ouvido o que os profetas dizem a respeito de terminar a obra.
10 »Before those days, there was no wage for man or beast. The enemy set everyone against his neighbor and going or coming there was no peace.«
10 Antes de iniciarem os trabalhos do templo, não havia dinheiro para contratar pessoas ou pagar por animais. Nenhum viajante estava seguro, pois havia inimigos por toda parte. Eu os havia incitado uns contra os outros.
11 »I will not treat the remnant of this people the same as it was in the former days,« said Jehovah of Hosts.
11 “Agora, porém, não tratarei mais o remanescente de meu povo como o tratei no passado, diz o S enhor dos Exércitos.
12 »There will be peace for the seed. The vine will give its fruit. The ground will yield its increase. The heavens will offer their dew and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things!
12 Pois, agora, plantarão as sementes em paz. As videiras ficarão carregadas de uvas, a terra produzirá suas colheitas, e os céus derramarão o orvalho. Darei essas bênçãos como herança ao remanescente deste povo.
13 »You were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel. I will save you! You will be blessed. Do not fear! Be strong!«
13 Entre as outras nações, Judá e Israel se tornaram símbolo de nação amaldiçoada, mas não será mais assim! Agora eu os resgatarei e os transformarei em bênção. Portanto, não tenham medo. Sejam fortes e continuem a reconstruir o templo!
14 Jehovah of hosts said: »I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to anger. I have not relented,« Said Jehovah of Hosts.
14 “Pois assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Eu estava decidido a castigá-los quando seus antepassados provocaram minha ira, e não voltei atrás, diz o S enhor dos Exércitos.
15 »I have again purposed to do good to Jerusalem and the house of Judah. Do not fear!«
15 Agora, porém, estou decidido a abençoar Jerusalém e o povo de Judá. Portanto, não tenham medo.
16 »These are the things that you should do. Every man should speak the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates towns.
16 Isto é o que vocês devem fazer: Digam a verdade uns aos outros. Em seus tribunais, pronunciem sentenças justas, que conduzam à paz.
17 »Let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor. Do not love a false oath perjury: for all these are things that I hate,« said Jehovah.
17 Não tramem o mal uns contra os outros. Não se agradem de fazer juramentos falsos. Odeio todas essas coisas, diz o S enhor ”.
18 The word of Jehovah of Hosts came to me, saying,
18 Esta é outra mensagem que recebi do S enhor dos Exércitos.
19 Jehovah of Hosts said: »The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth month, the fast of the seventh month, and the fast of the tenth month, will be to the house of Judah joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.«
19 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Os jejuns habituais que vocês têm observado no quarto mês, bem como no quinto, no sétimo e no décimo mês, chegaram ao fim. Eles se tornarão festas de alegria e celebração para o povo de Judá. Portanto, amem a verdade e a paz.
20 Jehovah of Hosts said: »It will yet come to pass, peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will come.
20 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Pessoas de nações e cidades de todo lugar virão a Jerusalém.
21 »The inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah, and to seek Jehovah of Hosts; I will go also.
21 Os habitantes de uma cidade dirão aos habitantes de outra: ‘Venham conosco a Jerusalém para pedir ao S enhor que nos abençoe. Vamos adorar o S enhor dos Exércitos. Estou decidido a ir’.
22 »Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Jehovah of Hosts in Jerusalem, and to request the favor of Jehovah.«
22 Muitos povos e nações poderosas virão a Jerusalém para buscar o S enhor dos Exércitos e pedir que ele os abençoe.
23 Jehovah of hosts said: »In those days it will come to pass, that ten men out of all the languages of the nations, will take hold of the skirt of the one who is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.«
23 “Assim diz o S enhor dos Exércitos: Naquele dia, dez homens de nações e línguas diferentes agarrarão a barra das vestes de um judeu e dirão: ‘Deixe que o acompanhemos, pois ouvimos dizer que Deus está com vocês’”.
