1 The word of Jehovah of Hosts came to me.
1 Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor dos Exércitos, dizendo:
2 Jehovah of Hosts said: »I am zealous for Zion with great ardor, and I am very zealous for her with great rage.
2 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Tenho grandes zelos de Sião e com grande indignação tenho zelos dela.
3 Jehovah of Hosts said: »I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called the city of truth and the mountain of Jehovah of Hosts, the holy mountain.«
3 Assim diz o Senhor : Voltarei para Sião e habitarei no meio de Jerusalém; Jerusalém chamar-se-á a cidade fiel, e o monte do Senhor dos Exércitos, monte santo.
4 Jehovah of Hosts said: »Old men and old women walk with the help of canes in the streets of Jerusalem. They sit in the city square.
4 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Ainda nas praças de Jerusalém sentar-se-ão velhos e velhas, levando cada um na mão o seu arrimo, por causa da sua muita idade.
5 »The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing there in the streets.«
5 As praças da cidade se encherão de meninos e meninas, que nelas brincarão.
6 Jehovah of hosts proclaims: »If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?« Said Jehovah of Hosts.
6 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Se isto for maravilhoso aos olhos do restante deste povo naqueles dias, será também maravilhoso aos meus olhos? — diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
7 Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: »Behold! I will save my people from the land of the east and from the land of the west.
7 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Eis que salvarei o meu povo, tirando-o da terra do Oriente e da terra do Ocidente;
8 »I will bring them and they will live in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness!«
8 eu os trarei, e habitarão em Jerusalém; eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus, em verdade e em justiça.
9 Jehovah of hosts said: »Let your hands be strong you who hear these words from the mouth of the prophets. These are words from the day that the foundation of the house of Jehovah of Hosts was laid. It was for the purpose of building the Temple.
9 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Sejam fortes as mãos de todos vós que nestes dias ouvis estas palavras da boca dos profetas, a saber, nos dias em que foram postos os fundamentos da Casa do Senhor dos Exércitos, para que o templo fosse edificado.
10 »Before those days, there was no wage for man or beast. The enemy set everyone against his neighbor and going or coming there was no peace.«
10 Porque, antes daqueles dias, não havia salário para homens, nem os animais lhes davam ganho, não havia paz para o que entrava, nem para o que saía, por causa do inimigo, porque eu incitei todos os homens, cada um contra o seu próximo.
11 »I will not treat the remnant of this people the same as it was in the former days,« said Jehovah of Hosts.
11 Mas, agora, não serei para com o restante deste povo como nos primeiros dias, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
12 »There will be peace for the seed. The vine will give its fruit. The ground will yield its increase. The heavens will offer their dew and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things!
12 Porque haverá sementeira de paz; a vide dará o seu fruto, a terra, a sua novidade, e os céus, o seu orvalho; e farei que o resto deste povo herde tudo isto.
13 »You were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel. I will save you! You will be blessed. Do not fear! Be strong!«
13 E há de acontecer, ó casa de Judá, ó casa de Israel, que, assim como fostes maldição entre as nações, assim vos salvarei, e sereis bênção; não temais, e sejam fortes as vossas mãos.
14 Jehovah of hosts said: »I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to anger. I have not relented,« Said Jehovah of Hosts.
14 Porque assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Como pensei fazer-vos mal, quando vossos pais me provocaram à ira, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, e não me arrependi,
15 »I have again purposed to do good to Jerusalem and the house of Judah. Do not fear!«
15 assim pensei de novo em fazer bem a Jerusalém e à casa de Judá nestes dias; não temais.
16 »These are the things that you should do. Every man should speak the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates towns.
16 Eis as coisas que deveis fazer: Falai a verdade cada um com o seu próximo, executai juízo nas vossas portas, segundo a verdade, em favor da paz;
17 »Let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor. Do not love a false oath perjury: for all these are things that I hate,« said Jehovah.
17 nenhum de vós pense mal no seu coração contra o seu próximo, nem ame o juramento falso, porque a todas estas coisas eu aborreço, diz o Senhor .
18 The word of Jehovah of Hosts came to me, saying,
18 A palavra do Senhor dos Exércitos veio a mim, dizendo:
19 Jehovah of Hosts said: »The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth month, the fast of the seventh month, and the fast of the tenth month, will be to the house of Judah joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.«
19 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: O jejum do quarto mês, e o do quinto, e o do sétimo, e o do décimo serão para a casa de Judá regozijo, alegria e festividades solenes; amai, pois, a verdade e a paz.
20 Jehovah of Hosts said: »It will yet come to pass, peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will come.
20 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Ainda sucederá que virão povos e habitantes de muitas cidades;
21 »The inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah, and to seek Jehovah of Hosts; I will go also.
21 e os habitantes de uma cidade irão à outra, dizendo: Vamos depressa suplicar o favor do Senhor e buscar ao Senhor dos Exércitos; eu também irei.
22 »Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Jehovah of Hosts in Jerusalem, and to request the favor of Jehovah.«
22 Virão muitos povos e poderosas nações buscar em Jerusalém ao Senhor dos Exércitos e suplicar o favor do Senhor .
23 Jehovah of hosts said: »In those days it will come to pass, that ten men out of all the languages of the nations, will take hold of the skirt of the one who is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.«
23 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Naquele dia, sucederá que pegarão dez homens, de todas as línguas das nações, pegarão, sim, na orla da veste de um judeu e lhe dirão: Iremos convosco, porque temos ouvido que Deus está convosco.
