New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs NAA
1 There was no king in Israel in those days. The tribe of Dan was looking for territory to claim and settle in because they had not yet received any land of their own among the tribes of Israel.
1 Naqueles dias, não havia rei em Israel, e a tribo dos danitas estava procurando um território para morar, porque, até aquele dia, não tinha recebido herança entre as tribos de Israel.
2 The people of Dan sent five qualified men out of all the families in the tribe from the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol with instructions to explore the land and spy on it. When they arrived in the mountains of Ephraim, they stayed at Micahs house.
2 Então os filhos de Dã enviaram cinco homens dentre todas as famílias da sua tribo, homens valentes, de Zorá e de Estaol, para espiar e explorar a terra. E lhes disseram: — Vão e explorem a terra. Chegaram à região montanhosa de Efraim, até a casa de Mica, e ali pernoitaram.
3 While they were at Micahs house, they recognized the accent of the young Levite, so they went up to him and asked: What are you doing here? Who brought you here?
3 Quando se aproximaram da casa de Mica, reconheceram a voz do jovem levita. Chegaram perto dele e lhe perguntaram: — Quem trouxe você para cá? O que você está fazendo aqui? E o que prende você a este lugar?
4 He answered: »Micah and I have an arrangement. He pays me to serve as his priest.«
4 Ele respondeu: — Assim e assim Mica fez comigo: ele me contratou, e eu me tornei o sacerdote dele.
5 They said to him: »Please ask God if our journey will be successful.«
5 E eles lhe disseram: — Então, por favor, consulte a Deus, para que saibamos se o caminho que seguimos irá prosperar.
6 The priest answered: »Do not worry. Jehovah is taking care of you on this trip.«
6 O sacerdote respondeu: — Vão em paz. O caminho de vocês está sob as vistas do
7 So the five men left and traveled to the town of Laish. They saw how the people there lived in security like the Sidonians. They were a peaceful, quiet people, with no argument with anyone. They had all they needed. They lived far away from the Sidonians and had nothing to do with any other people.
7 Os cinco homens partiram e chegaram a Laís. Viram que o povo daquele lugar vivia em segurança, segundo o costume dos sidônios, em paz e sem desconfiar de nada. Nenhuma autoridade havia que, por qualquer coisa, os oprimisse. Moravam longe dos sidônios e não tinham contato com outros povos.
8 When the five men returned to Zorah and Eshtaol, the people asked them what they found.
8 Então os cinco homens voltaram a seus irmãos em Zorá e Estaol. E esses irmãos lhes perguntaram: — E então, o que nos dizem?
9 They said: »Come and attack Laish. We saw the land, and it is very good. Do not stay here doing nothing. Enter and possess the land.
9 Eles responderam: — Preparem-se e vamos atacá-los. Porque examinamos a terra, e eis que é muito boa. Vão ficar aí parados? Vão depressa e ocupem aquela terra.
10 »When you go you will find a secure people who do not suspect a thing. It is a big country. God has given it to you and it has all you could want.«
10 Quando chegarem lá, vão encontrar um povo que não desconfia de nada. A terra é ampla, e Deus a está entregando nas mãos de vocês. É um lugar em que não falta nada do que existe na terra.
11 Six hundred men from the tribe of Dan left Zorah and Eshtaol, ready for war.
11 Então partiram dali, do meio da tribo dos danitas, de Zorá e de Estaol, seiscentos homens armados com as suas armas de guerra.
12 They went up and camped west of Kiriath Jearim in Judah. That is why the place is still called Camp of Dan.
12 Subiram e acamparam em Quiriate-Jearim, em Judá. Por isso aquele lugar é chamado de Maané-Dã, até o dia de hoje. Fica a oeste de Quiriate-Jearim.
13 They went from there to Micahs house in the mountains of Ephraim.
13 Dali foram para a região montanhosa de Efraim e chegaram à casa de Mica.
14 The five men who had gone to spy on the country around Laish said to their companions: »Did you know that here in one of these houses there is a wooden idol covered with silver? There are also other idols and an ephod. Consider what you should do.«
14 Os cinco homens que foram espiar a terra de Laís disseram aos seus irmãos: — Vocês sabiam que numa daquelas casas há uma estola sacerdotal, alguns ídolos do lar, uma imagem de escultura e uma de fundição? Decidam, pois, o que vão fazer.
15 They went into Micahs house, where the young Levite lived. They greeted the Levite.
15 Então foram para lá, e chegaram à casa do jovem levita, que era a casa de Mica, e o saudaram.
16 The six hundred soldiers from the tribe of Dan, ready for battle, stood at the gate.
16 Os seiscentos homens da tribo de Dã, armados com as suas armas de guerra, ficaram à entrada do portão.
17 The five spies went straight into the house. They took the wooden idol covered with silver, the other idols, and the ephod. The priest stayed at the gate with the six hundred armed men.
17 Porém os cinco homens que tinham ido espiar a terra entraram na casa e apanharam a imagem de escultura, a estola sacerdotal, os ídolos do lar e a imagem de fundição, enquanto o sacerdote estava em pé à entrada do portão com os seiscentos homens que estavam armados com as armas de guerra.
18 The men went into Micahs house and took the sacred objects. The priest asked them: »What are you doing?«
18 Quando eles entraram na casa de Mica e apanharam a imagem de escultura, a estola sacerdotal, os ídolos do lar e a imagem de fundição, o sacerdote perguntou: — O que é que vocês estão fazendo?
19 They told him: »Be quiet. Do not say a word. Come with us and be our priest and adviser. Is it better for you to be a priest to the house of one man, or to be a priest to a tribe and a family in Israel?«
19 Eles responderam: — Fique calado. Não diga nada a ninguém. Venha conosco e seja o nosso conselheiro e sacerdote. Ou você acha que é melhor ser sacerdote na casa de um só homem do que ser sacerdote de uma tribo e de uma família em Israel?
20 This filled the priest with joy. He took the sacred objects and went along with them.
20 O sacerdote ficou contente, pegou a estola sacerdotal, os ídolos do lar e a imagem de escultura e entrou no meio do povo.
21 They turned around and started off, with their children, their livestock, and their belongings going ahead.
21 Eles deram meia-volta e partiram, não sem antes colocar diante de si as crianças, o gado e os seus bens.
22 They traveled a good way from the house when Micah gathered his neighbors for battle. They caught up with the Danites.
22 Quando eles já estavam longe da casa de Mica, os vizinhos deste se reuniram e foram atrás dos filhos de Dã.
23 They shouted at them. The Danites turned around and asked Micah, »What is the problem? Why have you gathered such a company?«
23 Eles gritaram para os filhos de Dã, que, voltando-se, perguntaram a Mica: — O que é que você quer? Por que você convocou todo esse povo?
24 Micah answered: »What do you mean? You take my priest and the gods that I made, and walk off! What do I have left?«
24 Mica respondeu: — Vocês pegaram os deuses que eu fiz e também o meu sacerdote e foram embora. O que sobrou para mim? E vocês ainda me perguntam: “O que é que você quer?”
25 The Danites responded: »Do not say anymore or these men will get angry and attack you. You and your whole family would die.«
25 Porém os filhos de Dã lhe disseram: — Seria melhor você ficar calado, porque, se não, alguns dos nossos homens poderiam ficar irritados e acabariam atacando você. Nesse caso, perderiam a vida você e os da sua casa.
26 The Danites went on their way. Micah saw that they were too strong for him, so he went back home.
26 Assim, os filhos de Dã seguiram o seu caminho. E Mica, vendo que eram mais fortes do que ele, deu meia-volta e foi para casa.
27 They took the things Micah made and the priest who belonged to him and attacked Laish. Laish was a town of peaceful, quiet people in the same valley as Bethrehob. They killed the inhabitants and burned the town.
27 Os homens de Dã levaram as coisas que Mica havia feito e também o sacerdote dele, e foram a Laís, a um povo que vivia em paz e sem desconfiar de nada. Mataram os moradores a fio de espada e queimaram a cidade.
28 There was no one to save them, because Laish was a long way from Sidon, and they had no dealings with any other people. The Danites rebuilt the town and settled down there.
28 Não houve ninguém que os livrasse, porque moravam longe de Sidom e não tinham contato com outros povos. A cidade ficava no vale junto a Bete-Reobe. Os filhos de Dã reedificaram a cidade e passaram a morar nela.
29 They changed its name from Laish to Dan, after their ancestor Dan, the son of Jacob.
29 E lhe chamaram Dã, segundo o nome de Dã, seu pai, que era filho de Israel. Porém no passado o nome dessa cidade era Laís.
30 The Danites set up the idol to be worshiped, and Jonathan, the son of Gershom and grandson of Moses, served as a priest for the Danites. His descendants served as their priests until the people were taken away into exile.
30 Os filhos de Dã levantaram para si aquela imagem de escultura, e Jônatas, filho de Gérson e neto de Moisés, ele e seus filhos foram sacerdotes da tribo dos danitas até o dia do cativeiro do povo.
31 Micahs idol remained there as long as the Tent where God was worshiped was at Shiloh.
31 Assim, pois, a imagem de escultura feita por Mica ficou entre eles durante todo o tempo em que a Casa de Deus esteve em Siló.
