1 »Arise O woman and shine! Your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah beams on you.
1 Levanta-te, brilhe, porque tua luz é chegada e a glória do SENHOR amanhece sobre ti.
2 »Darkness now covers the earth! Thick darkness overwhelms the nations. But Jehovah shines for you. His glory appears to you.
2 Porquanto, eis que a escuridão cobrirá a terra, e densa escuridão o povo. O SENHOR, porém, levantar-se-á sobre ti e a glória dele será vista sobre ti.
3 »Nations will come to your light. Kings will come to the brightness of your illumination.
3 E os gentios virão para a tua luz e reis para o brilho de teu levantar.
4 »Look up, look around, and watch. All of your people assemble and come to you. Your sons come from far away. Your daughters are carried in their arms.
4 Ergue teus olhos em todas as direções ao teu redor e vê. Todos eles reúnem-se. Eles vêm a ti. Teus filhos virão de longe, e tuas filhas serão levadas nos braços ao teu lado.
5 »Then you will see this and rejoice. Your heart will shake with joy. The riches of the sea will be brought to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.
5 Então, tu verás e ficarás radiante, e teu coração temerá e se regozijará, porque a fartura do mar será trazida a ti. As forças dos gentios virão a ti.
6 »Many camels will cover your land, young camels from Midian and Ephah. Everyone from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and incense. They will sing the praises of Jehovah.
6 A multidão de camelos te cobrirá, os dromedários de Midiã e Efá, todos eles desde Sabá virão. Eles trarão ouro e incenso, e irão proclamar os louvores do SENHOR.
7 »All of the flocks from Kedar will gather and come to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be sacrificed as acceptable offerings on my altar. So I will honor my beautiful Temple.
7 Todos os rebanhos de Quedar serão reunidos a ti. Os carneiros de Nebaiote suprir-te-ão. Eles se achegarão com aceitação sobre meu altar, e eu glorificarei a casa da minha glória.
8 »Who are these people that fly by like clouds and like doves to their nests?
8 Quem são estes que voam como uma nuvem, e como as pombas em direção às suas janelas?
9 »Surely the coastlands wait with hope for me. The ships from Tarshish are the first to bring your children from far away. They bring their silver and their gold with them to honor the name of Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, because he has honored you.
9 Certamente, as ilhas esperarão por mim, e os navios de Társis primeiramente, para trazer teus filhos de longe, e, com eles, a prata e o ouro deles até o nome do SENHOR teu Deus e para o Santo de Israel, porque ele tem te glorificado.
10 »Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. I struck you because of my anger, but in my favor I have compassion on you.
10 E os filhos de estrangeiros irão edificar teus muros, e os reis deles irão suprir-te, porque em minha cólera eu te afligi. Mas em minha boa vontade tenho eu tido misericórdia de ti.
11 »Your gates will always be open. They will never be closed day or night so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations. Even their kings are led as prisoners.
11 Portanto, teus portões estarão abertos continuamente. Eles não serão fechados nem de dia nem de noite, para que homens possam trazer-te as forças dos gentios, e que seus reis possam ser conduzidos com eles.
12 »Nations and kingdoms that do not serve you will be destroyed. The nations will definitely be ruined.
12 Porquanto, a nação e reino que não vierem a servir-te perecerão. Sim, aquelas nações serão completamente devastadas.
13 »Lebanon's glory will come to you: Cedar, fir, and cypress trees will come to beautify my holy place. I will honor the place where my feet rest.
13 A glória do Líbano virá a ti, o abeto, o pinheiro e o cipreste juntamente, para embelezar o lugar do meu santuário; e farei o lugar de meus pés glorioso.
14 »The sons of those who oppress you will bow in front of you. All who loathe you will bow at your feet. They will call you the city of Jehovah, Zion, the city of the Holy One of Israel.
14 Os filhos também daqueles que te afligiram virão, inclinando-se a ti. E todos aqueles que te desprezaram curvar-se-ão em direção às plantas dos teus pés e chamar-te-ão: A cidade do SENHOR, A Sião do Santo de Israel.
15 »You have been abandoned and hated. No one has passed through you. But now I will make you a foundation of everlasting pride, a joy for all generations.
15 Como tu tens sido abandonada e odiada, tanto que nenhum homem transitou por ti, eu te tornarei uma excelência eterna, uma alegria de muitas gerações.
16 »You will drink milk from other nations and nurse at royal breasts. Then you will know that I am Jehovah, your Savior, the Mighty One of Jacob, and your Defender Protector.
16 Tu também mamarás o leite das nações e sorverás do seio de reis. E tu saberás que eu, o SENHOR, sou teu Salvador e teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.
17 »I will bring gold instead of copper. I will bring silver instead of iron, copper instead of wood, and iron instead of stone. I will appoint peace as your governor and righteousness as your ruler.
17 Em lugar de bronze eu trarei ouro, e no lugar de ferro eu trarei prata, e no lugar de madeira, bronze, e no lugar de pedras, ferro. Eu também farei que teus oficiais sejam pacíficos, e teus exatores, justos.
18 »You will no longer hear about violence in your land or desolation and destruction within your borders. You will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
18 Violência não será mais ouvida em tua terra, debilidade nem destruição dentro de teus limites. Tu, porém, denominarás teus muros, Salvação, e teus portões, Louvor.
19 »The sun will no longer be your light during the day. The brightness of the moon will not give you light, for Jehovah will be your everlasting light. Your God will be your glory.
19 O sol não será mais tua luz, de dia, nem por brilho a lua te dará luz; porém o SENHOR será para ti uma luz eterna, e teu Deus, tua glória.
20 »Your sun will no longer go down, nor will your moon disappear. Jehovah will be your everlasting light, and your days of sadness will be over.
20 Teu sol não mais se porá, nem irá tua lua retirar-se, porque o SENHOR será tua luz eterna, e os dias do teu luto estarão terminados.
21 »Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land everlastingly. They will be the seedlings I have planted, the honored work of my hands.
21 Teu povo também será todo justo. Eles herdarão a terra para sempre, o renovo do meu plantio, o trabalho de minhas mãos, para que eu possa ser glorificado.
22 »The smallest of them will become a thousand. The weakest of them will become a mighty nation. At the right time I, Jehovah, will make it happen quickly.«
22 Um pequenino tornar-se-á mil, e um pequeno uma forte nação. Eu o SENHOR irei apressar em fazer isto ao seu tempo.
