New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs NAA
1 Sarah lived one hundred and twenty-seven years. These were the years of the life of Sarah.
1 Sara viveu cento e vinte e sete anos.
2 Sarah died in Kiriath-arba that is, Hebron in the land of Canaan. Abraham went to mourn for Sarah and to cry because of her death.
2 Morreu em Quiriate-Arba, que é Hebrom, na terra de Canaã. Abraão veio lamentar Sara e chorar por ela.
3 Abraham left the side of his dead wife and spoke to the Hittites.
3 Depois, Abraão levantou-se da presença da falecida e falou aos filhos de Hete:
4 He said: »I am a stranger with no permanent home. Let me have some of your property for a tomb that I can bury my dead wife.«
4 — Sou estrangeiro e morador entre vocês. Deixem-me adquirir uma sepultura na terra de vocês, para que eu possa sepultar a minha falecida mulher.
5 The Hittites answered Abraham:
5 Os filhos de Hete responderam a Abraão, dizendo:
6 »Listen to us, my lord. You are a mighty leader among us. Bury your dead in one of our best tombs. Not one of us will withhold from you his tomb for burying your dead.«
6 — Escute: o senhor é um príncipe de Deus em nosso meio. Sepulte a falecida numa das nossas melhores sepulturas. Nenhum de nós se recusará a ceder a sua própria sepultura, para que você sepulte a sua falecida.
7 Abraham got up and bowed to the people of that region, the Hittites.
7 Então Abraão se levantou e se inclinou diante do povo da terra, diante dos filhos de Hete.
8 He said: »If you are willing to let me bury my wife here, please ask Ephron son of Zohar
8 E lhes falou, dizendo: — Se é do agrado de vocês que eu sepulte a minha falecida, escutem-me e intercedam por mim junto a Efrom, filho de Zoar,
9 to sell me Machpelah Cave. It is near the edge of his field. Ask him to sell it to me for its full price here in your presence. Then I can own it as a burial ground.«
9 para que ele me ceda a caverna de Macpela, que pertence a ele e que fica no extremo do seu campo. Que ele a entregue a mim pelo devido preço, para que eu tenha uma sepultura entre vocês.
10 Ephron was sitting with the other Hittites at the meeting place at the city gate. He answered in the hearing of everyone there:
10 Ora, Efrom, o heteu, estava sentado no meio dos filhos de Hete. Ele respondeu a Abraão, de maneira que pudesse ser ouvido pelos filhos de Hete, a saber, por todos os que entravam pelo portão da cidade:
11 »Hear me my lord, I give you the field, including the cave. It is yours. With my own people as witnesses, I freely give it to you as a burial place for your dead.«
11 — De modo nenhum, meu senhor. Escute: eu lhe dou o campo e também a caverna que nele está. Na presença dos filhos do meu povo eu lhe dou isso; sepulte a sua falecida.
12 Once again, Abraham bowed down.
12 Então Abraão se inclinou diante do povo da terra
13 He spoke to Ephron in the hearing of the people of the land. He said: »If you will only please listen to me. I will give the price of the field. Accept it from me that I may bury my dead there.«
13 e falou a Efrom, na presença do povo da terra, dizendo: — Mas, se você concorda, escute: pagarei o preço do campo; aceite-o de mim, e sepultarei ali a minha falecida.
14 Ephron answered Abraham:
14 Efrom respondeu:
15 »My lord, listen to me. It is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver. What is that between you and me? So bury your dead.«
15 — Meu senhor, escute: um terreno que vale quatrocentas barras de prata, que é isso entre mim e você? Sepulte ali a sua falecida.
16 Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, commercial standard.
16 Abraão ouviu Efrom dizer isso e pesou-lhe a prata de que este lhe tinha falado na presença dos filhos de Hete, a saber, quatro quilos e meio de prata, segundo o peso usado entre os mercadores.
17 Ephrons field at Machpelah, east of Mamre, was sold to Abraham.
17 Assim, o campo de Efrom, que estava em Macpela, em frente de Manre, o campo, a caverna e todo o arvoredo que nele havia, e todo o terreno ao redor
18 His property included the field with the cave in it as well as all the trees inside the boundaries of the field. The Hittites together with all who had entered the city gate were the official witnesses for the agreement.
18 passaram a ser propriedade de Abraão, na presença dos filhos de Hete, a saber, de todos os que entravam pelo portão da cidade.
19 Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave in the field of Machpelah, east of Mamre Hebron, in the land of Canaan.
19 Depois, Abraão sepultou Sara, a sua mulher, na caverna do campo de Macpela, em frente de Manre, que é Hebrom, na terra de Canaã.
20 The Hittites sold the field and its cave to Abraham as his property to be used as a tomb.
20 E assim, pelos filhos de Hete, se confirmou a Abraão o direito do campo e da caverna que nele estava, como propriedade para servir de sepultura.
