Amós 1
New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs BKJ
1 The words of Amos concerning Israel. He was among the herdsmen of Tekoa in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel. It was two years before the earthquake.
1 As palavras de Amós, que estava entre os pastores de Tecoa, as quais viu a respeito de Israel, nos dias de Uzias, rei de Judá, e nos dias de Jeroboão, filho de Joás, rei de Israel, dois anos antes do terremoto.
2 He said: »Jehovah roars from Zion! He utters his voice from Jerusalem! The pastures of the shepherds mourn for lack of water. The top of Carmel withers.«
2 Ele disse: o SENHOR bramará de Sião, e proferirá sua voz de Jerusalém; e as habitações dos pastores lamentarão, e o cume do Carmelo secará.
3 »I will not hold back punishment,« said Jehovah, »For the many transgressions of Damascus. This is because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron.
3 Assim diz o SENHOR: por três transgressões de Damasco, e por quatro, não retirarei o seu castigo, pois eles debulharam a Gileade com instrumentos de debulha de ferro.
4 »I will send fire to the house of Hazael and it will devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
4 Por isso colocarei fogo à casa de Hazael, que consumirá os palácios de Ben-Hadade.
5 »I will destroy the lock bar at the gate of Damascus, and annihilate the inhabitant from the valley of Aven. He who holds the scepter imperial authority from the house of Eden and the people of Syria will go into captivity to Kir,« said Jehovah.
5 E também quebrarei a tranca de Damasco, e exterminarei o habitante do vale de Áven, e aquele que possui o cetro da casa de Éden; e o povo da Síria será levado em cativeiro a Quir, diz o SENHOR.
6 Jehovah said: »I will not withdraw punishment from Gaza for they transgressed many times. They captured all the people and delivered them to Edom.
6 Assim diz o SENHOR: por três transgressões de Gaza, e por quatro, não retirarei o seu castigo, pois eles levaram em cativeiro todos os cativos, para os entregarem a Edom;
7 »I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza. It will devour the palaces there.
7 mas eu enviarei fogo ao muro de Gaza, que consumirá os seus palácios;
8 »I will destroy the inhabitant of Ashdod. I will kill the king of Ashkelon who holds the scepter. I will direct my power against Ekron. The remnant of the Philistines will perish,« said the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.
8 e exterminarei o habitante de Asdode, e aquele que possui o cetro de Asquelom, e tornarei a minha mão contra Ecrom; e o restante dos filisteus perecerá, diz o Senhor DEUS.
9 Jehovah continued: »For the many transgressions of Tyre I will not withdraw punishment! They captured all the people and delivered them to Edom. They did not remember the brotherly covenant.
9 Assim diz o SENHOR: Por três transgressões de Tiro, e por quatro, não retirarei o seu castigo, pois eles entregaram todos os cativos a Edom, e não se lembraram do pacto dos irmãos;
10 »I will send fire on the walls of Tyre. It will devour the palaces.«
10 mas eu enviarei fogo ao muro de Tiro, que consumirá os seus palácios.
11 Jehovah declared: »For three and four transgressions of Edom, I will not withdraw punishment. He pursued his brother with the sword. He showed no compassion but was driven with anger and eternal wrath.
11 Assim diz o SENHOR: Por três transgressões de Edom, e por quatro, não retirarei o seu castigo, pois perseguiu a seu irmão com espada, e baniu toda a compaixão; e sua ira despedaçou eternamente, e ele guardou sua ira para sempre;
12 »I will send a fire upon Teman, and it will devour the palaces of Bozrah.«
12 mas eu enviarei fogo a Temã, que consumirá os palácios de Bozra.
13 Jehovah also said: »For the many transgressions of the children of Ammon I will not withdraw the punishment. They have ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border.
13 Assim diz o SENHOR: Por três transgressões dos filhos de Amom, e por quatro, não retirarei o seu castigo, pois eles rasgaram ao meio as grávidas de Gileade, para que eles pudessem ampliar as suas fronteiras;
14 »I will kindle a fire on the wall of Rabbah and devour its palaces. The battle cry in the day of battle will be heard and a storm in the day of the windstorm.
14 por isso, porei fogo ao muro de Rabá, e ele consumirá o seus palácios, com gritos no dia da batalha, com tempestade no dia da tormenta;
15 »Their king and his princes will go into captivity,« said Jehovah.
15 e o seu rei irá para o cativeiro, ele e seus príncipes juntamente, diz o SENHOR.
