1 Yesu ngalongela nabo kabele kukulandanakia,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “Kingwana cha kumbengu kilandine yene, nngwana akampanganakia mwana jwakwe munalome mpapala gwa kutolana.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Ngabatuma akapakachi kakemanga bandu abakakokigwe kumpapala, nambu bandu abakokigwe bapailingeje kuika.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Ngabakinga kabe akapakachi bange, akalenga, ‘Makalengele abakokigwe, ilyo yango ibi tayali ngoe, likambako lya ng'ombe ni likoga lina kunoga lichinjigwe, kila kilebe kibi tela, nhwikange kumpapala!’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Nambu bandu abakokigwe baagabije na ngabajabulanga kachabe, jumwe kung'onda gwakwe na jonge kamaengo gakwe,
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 na bange ngabapukila akabanda bala ngabatukana, ngaba komanga.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Nngwana jola ngachimwa muno, ngagakinga manjolinjoli gakwe bakakomange akakomi benia na kukijocha kilambo chabe.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Penia ngabalengela akapakachi bakwe, ‘Ilyo ya mpapala ibi tela kweli, nambu abakokigwe bapaligweje.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Ngoe nnyendange kundela na baboa bala abampa kakolela makemange baike kumpapala.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Akapakachi bala ngababoka, ngabajenda ku nnyini, ngabaleta bandu boa, abaja na bambone. Nyumba ja mpapala ngijitwelela akageni.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 “Nngwana apajingila kalola akageni, ngammona mundu jumwe ojwakwinditeje ngobo ya mpapala.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Nngwana ngankonya, ‘Maganja, nnyingilabo pamba panga ngobo ja mpapala?’ Nambu jwombe ngatama nuu.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Penia nngwana ngabalengela akapakachi, ‘Mantabange makongono na maboko makannekele panja pulubendu, kwenio apakuguta nu kuyaga mino.’ ”
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Yesu ngajomolela kulongela, “Ajingi bakokigwe, nambu achoko bapambuligwe.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Kubokapenia, Mafalisayo ngabajabulanga, ngabapangana ndela ja kunyonja Yesu kwa malobe gakwe.

16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;

17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Unayange uloi gwa kulepa kodi.” Angweto ngabampikia uloi.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Yesu ngabakonya, “Kumio kwa beneke na liina lyabeneke?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Ngabannyanga, “Ja nkolongwa jwa Loma.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Apabajoa yene ngabaomongwa, ngabanneka na ngabajabulanga.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Lichoba lyene, Masadukayo abalenga abawile bayokaje ngabannyendele Yesu.

24 Ngabannenge, “Aboli, Musa alenga mundu andawile na kaleka akege gwangabe na mwana, nnung'una mundu batole malekwe, kupala bampotole nnung'una gwakwe ingota.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Ngoe, pito pano pakiba na akalongo saba. Jwa kutumbula ngatola munkege kuboka penia ngawe panga kube na ingota, ngannekela nnongamundu munkege nanhwele jwenio.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Ngibe uyo nnongamundu jonge, na jwa tatu mpaka jwa saba.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Kuboka pa akalongo benia boa kuwe, munkege jola uyo ngawe.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Bo, lichoba lya kuyoka abawile akege benia mababa anhanaba beneke kati ja akalongo saba bala? Gambu boa saba ngabantola.”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Yesu ngabajanga, “Mangweto ntekulemwa magambu magamanyije Majandiko Gachwapi na makakala ga Nnoongo!
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Nambu lichoba li kuyoka bandu mababa anda akapakachi bu kumbengu, batolaje akege wala kutoligwaje na analome.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Nambu nhwalo gu kuyoka abawile, manachomangaje agannengalinge Nnoongo? Annengalinga,
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 ‘Nenga na Nnoongo ba Ulaimu na Isaka na Yakobo.’ Jwenio ngiti Nnoongo jwa abawileje nga Nnoongo jwa ababi bwomi.”
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.

34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 Jumwe kati jabe, mmoli jwa Malagilo ga Musa, ngankonya Yesu kukuntega,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 “Aboli, amuli jako ejibi ngolongwa mu Malagilo ga Musa?”
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Yesu ngajanga, “ ‘Mapale Angwana Nnoongo jwinu ku mojo gwinu gwoa na kukiuke chinu choa na kwa malango ginu goa.’
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.

38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.

39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.

40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Mafalisayo apabakongana pamwe, Yesu ngabakonyanga,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “Mangweto nnolangabo nhwalo gwa Kilisto nkomboi? Bo, nga Mwana jwa beneke?”
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Yesu ngabalengela, “Kubabole kwa makakala gu Uhuke jwa Chwapi, Daudi ankema jwombe Angwana? Gambu ngalenga,
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‘Angwana ngabalengela Angwana bango,
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Anda, ibi, Daudi ankema Kilisto Nkomboi ‘Angwana,’ Baotwabo kube mwana gwakwe?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Abije mundu jwajoa ojwakaotola kunnyanga lilobe. Nu kuboka lichoba ulyo abije ojwakajiga kabe kunkonya kilebe.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
