Bulu ntam pɔpwɛ; Nkonya (NKONT) vs VC
1 Mʋ́ sʋ mlɩlɛ agywɩɩn laláhɛ kugyíkʋ lɛ mlɩtɔ. Mlɩmátrá mlɛ́ aba, ntɛ́ɛ bwɛ́ apinabwɛbí. Mlɩmátrá pɛ ansɩ́ abasʋ, ntɛ́ɛ tsii aba.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Mlɩbwɛ mlɩ ɩwɩ fɛ́ nyebí bɔbwɛ, amlɩha Bulu asʋ́n ámʋ́ʋ́ ɩlɛtɩn, tɔtɔ mɛfráa mʋ́tɔ́ ámʋ ɩdɩnka mlɩ ɔwɔ́lɩ brégyíbrɛ́, fɛ́ alɩ ámʋ́ʋ́ nyɔ́pʋ-ntsu tɛdɩ́nká nyebí ɔwɔ́lɩ amʋ. Mɛ́nɩ ɩbɛ́ha mlɛ́dan, nyá nkpahɔ́ɔ tsú Bulu wá.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Mlɩlakápʋ́ anɩ Wíe amʋ kɩ, mlɩlawun ánɩ́ ɔbʋ awɩtɔlɛ.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mʋ́ sʋ mlɩkpʋkpɛ ba anɩ Wíe Yesu Kristo wá. Mʋgyí nkpa Owíe nɩ. Kristo gyí fɛ́ ibwiá ahá bekiná mʋ́ ánɩ́ ɩma labi, támɛ Bulu lɛ́lɛ mʋ́ ánɩ́ ɩbʋ labi mʋ ansɩ́tɔ́.

5 Ɔŋɛ́tɔ́ asʋ́n nɛbá bɛblɩ́ á. Mlɩba Bulu wá brɛ́ ánfɩ mlɩbʋ nkpa ánfɩ, ɔbwɛ mlɩ fɛ́ abwiá ɔdɛpʋyi obuá bɔ́tswɛ mʋ mʋ́tɔ́. Ɔbwɛ mlɩ mʋ igyí ahapʋ́ ánɩ́ amʋ́ ɩwɩ lɛ́tɩn, amlɩtsʋn Yesu Kristosʋ ha Bulu igyí ámʋ́ʋ́ mʋ Ɔŋɛ́ losusúu suná mlɩ, itegyi mʋ ansɩ́ ámʋ.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Tsúfɛ́ bɔwanlɩ́n wá Bulu asʋ́n ámʋtɔ bɛɛ,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ibwi ánfɩ hɩ́ɛ́ ɩbʋ labi há mlɩ ahá ánɩ́ mlɩlɔ́hɔ Kristo gyi. Támɛ há ahá ánɩ́ bʋmɔ́ɔhɔ Kristo gyi mʋ́ á, Bulu asʋ́n ámʋ ɩlɛblɩ́ ɔbɛ́ɛ,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Asa ɛ́ á,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Támɛ mlɩ mʋ́ á, mlɩgyí ɔmá ánɩ́ Bulu lalɛ́. Owíe amʋ igyí ahapʋ́. Ɔmá wankɩ́hɛ́ ánɩ́ Bulu lapʋ́ mlɩ bwɛ́ mʋ onutó ahá nɩ. Mʋlálɛ́ mlɩ tsú oklúntɔ pʋ́ mlɩ ba mʋ ɔkandɩ́ɛ wánkɩ́hɛ́ amʋ asɩ ɔbɛ́ɛ, mlɩbɛ́da ofúla amʋ́ʋ́ alabwɛ́ ámʋ ɩwɩ ɔkan.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Tɛkɩ brɛ́ ámʋ a, megyí Bulu ahá mlɩgyí. Támɛ séi mʋ́ á, mlɩlabwɛ́ Bulu ahá. Brɛ́ ámʋ a, tɛkɩ Bulu nwewúun ɩma mlɩsʋ. Támɛ séi mʋ́ á, mʋ nwewúun laba mlɩsʋ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Apíó adwɛpʋ́, nhɩ́ɛ́ ndɛ mlɩ ɔlá da. Afɔɔ́ mlɩgyí, mlɩméetsiá ɔsʋlʋ́ʋ anfɩsʋ wá ɔpá. Mʋ́ sʋ mlɩlɛ ɩwɩ tsu nyankpʋsa ɔwɔ́lɩ laláhɛ amʋ́ʋ́ ɩtɔkɔ́ mlɩ ɔkláa ɩsá ámʋtɔ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ɩ́nɩá mlɩa ɔmátɔ́fɔ tsíe sʋ á, mlɩtsia tsiátɔ́ wankláán, mɛ́nɩ nɩ́ bʋdɛblɩ́ bɛɛ mlɩ tsiátɔ́ ɩma alɛ a, bówun mlɩ yilébwɛ, fówun bɛ́kanfʋ́ Bulu ɛkɛ ámʋ́ʋ́ ɔbɛ́ba bɛkɩ amʋ́ gyumagyihɛ amʋ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Anɩ Wíe Yesu sʋ mlɩbu aban mʋa ɔhagyíɔha ánɩ́ bapʋ́ túmi wá mʋ ɩbɩtɔ. Mlɩbu ɔmá ɔkpapʋ́ ánɩ́ ɔdɛ ɔmá ámʋ fɛ́ɛ́sʋ́ gyí.

14 Mlɩbu ɔmásʋ́ akɩ́pʋ amʋ́ʋ́ ɔmá ɔkpapʋ́ lalɛ́ ɔbɛ́ɛ, bʋbɩ́tɩ lakpan abwɛpʋ́ ɩsʋ, abʋkanfʋ yilé abwɛpʋ́ ámʋ.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Mlɩbwɛ yilé pʋka asʋn laláhɛ amʋ́ʋ́ aha mimláhɛ bʋtɛblɩ́ mábɩ́ sʋ tsú mlɩ ɩwɩ ámʋ itin. Tsúfɛ́ ɔkpa ánfɩsʋ Bulu déklé ɔbɛ́ɛ, mlɩbwɛ́ɛ mʋ́ nɩ́.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Mlɩtsia nkpa fɛ́ ahá ánɩ́ bʋtsie ɩwɩsʋ, támɛ mlɩmápʋ mlɩ ɩwɩsʋtsiá ámʋ tin ansíbi bwɛ́ lalahɛ. Mboún mlɩtsia nkpa fɛ́ Bulu asúmpʋ́.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Mlɩbu ɔhagyíɔha, amlɩdwɛ mlɩ aba ahógyipʋ. Mlɩnya Bulu ifú, amlɩbu mlɩ ɔmá ɔkpapʋ́.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Nkpábi, mlɩnya mlɩ awíe ifú, amlɩpʋ obú ha amʋ́. Megyí amʋ́á bolwií, bʋbʋ awɩtɔlɛ há mlɩ nkʋlɛ. Mlɩbu amʋ́á bʋbʋ owuntɔlɩn mlɩsʋ ɛ́.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Nɩ́ ɩlɛba mʋ́tɔ́ ánɩ́ bɛhá mlowun ɩwɩɔsɩn kʋkʋ kpaalɩ, támɛ Bulu sʋ́ mlotomi hɔ mʋ́ faan a, Bulu ansɩ́ bégyi mlɩ ɩwɩ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Labi mɔmʋ ɩbʋ nɩ́ fatomi, badá fʋ́ fʋ́ lakpan sʋ? Kʋkʋ ɩma mʋ́tɔ́. Támɛ nɩ́ fɔbwɛ́ yilé asa fotomi bɛda fʋ́ á, Bulu ansɩ́ tegyi fʋ́ ɩwɩ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Asʋn wunhɛ ánfɩ aná sʋ Bulu lɛ́tɩ mlɩ nɩ́. Tsúfɛ́ mlɩ sʋ Kristo onutó ɛ́ lótomi tsʋn asʋn wunhɛtɔ pʋ́bwɛ́ mfántʋ́hʋ́n há mlɩ, mɛ́nɩ mlɩ ɛ́ mlɔ́tsʋn mʋ́sʋ́.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Bɔwanlɩ́n wá Bulu asʋn wanlɩ́nhɛ́ amʋtɔ bɛɛ, “Ɔmɔbwɛ lakpan kʋkʋ. Ɔmɛmlɛ́ ɔhaa ɛ́.”
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Besia mʋ, mʋ mʋ́ omesia ɔhaa. Brɛ́á ɔdɛ ipian wúun a, ɔmɛka ɔhaasʋ, támɛ ɔlɔpʋ mʋ ansɩ́ dɩ́nká Bulu, asʋ́n ogyípʋ́ ɔnɔkwalɩpʋ amʋsʋ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Yesu Kristo onutó lɔ́hɔ anɩ lakpan fɛ́ɛ́ sʋ́rá, bɛda mʋ mántá oyikpalíhɛ amʋsʋ, mɛ́nɩ abégyi ɩwɩ tsú anɩ lakpantɔ, tsíá nkpa há yilébwɛ. Tsúfɛ́ bɔwanlɩ́n wá Bulu asʋ́n ámʋtɔ bɛɛ, “Mʋ ɩwɩ nlɔ ámʋtɔ mlɩlénya mlɩ ɩlɔtsá.”
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Tsúfɛ́ mlɩgyí fɛ́ akúfa fwɩhɛ́, fɛ́ alɩ ámʋ́ʋ́ bɔwanlɩ́n wá Bulu asʋ́ntɔ́ ámʋ. Támɛ séi mʋ́ á, mlɩlayínkí bá mlɩbuo Yesu, mlɩ ɔklásʋ ɔkɩ́pʋ pʋ́ mʋ ɔkpapʋ́ ámʋ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
