1 For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm by Asaph.My cry goes to God!Indeed, I cry to God for help,and for him to listen to me.
1 Elevo a Deus a minha voz e clamo, elevo a Deus a minha voz, para que me atenda.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord.My hand was stretched out in the night, and did not get tired.My soul refused to be comforted.
2 No dia da minha angústia, procuro o Senhor; erguem-se as minhas mãos durante a noite e não se cansam; a minha alma recusa consolar-se.
3 I remember God, and I groan.I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed.Selah.
3 Lembro-me de Deus e passo a gemer; medito, e me desfalece o espírito.
4 You hold my eyelids open.I am so troubled that I can't speak.
4 Não me deixas pregar os olhos; tão perturbado estou, que nem posso falar.
5 I have considered the days of old,the years of ancient times.
5 Penso nos dias de outrora, trago à lembrança os anos de passados tempos.
6 I remember my song in the night.I consider in my own heart;my spirit diligently inquires:
6 De noite indago o meu íntimo, e o meu espírito perscruta.
7 "Will the Lord reject us forever?Will he be favorable no more?
7 Rejeita o Senhor para sempre? Acaso, não torna a ser propício?
8 Has his loving kindness vanished forever?Does his promise fail for generations?
8 Cessou perpetuamente a sua graça? Caducou a sua promessa para todas as gerações?
9 Has God forgotten to be gracious?Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?"Selah.
9 Esqueceu-se Deus de ser benigno? Ou, na sua ira, terá ele reprimido as suas misericórdias?
10 Then I thought, "I will appeal to this:the years of the right hand of the Most High."
10 Então, disse eu: isto é a minha aflição; mudou-se a destra do Altíssimo.
11 I will remember Yah's deeds;for I will remember your wonders of old.
11 Recordo os feitos do Senhor , pois me lembro das tuas maravilhas da antiguidade.
12 I will also meditate on all your work,and consider your doings.
12 Considero também nas tuas obras todas e cogito dos teus prodígios.
13 Your way, God, is in the sanctuary.What god is great like God?
13 O teu caminho, ó Deus, é de santidade. Que deus é tão grande como o nosso Deus?
14 You are the God who does wonders.You have made your strength known among the peoples.
14 Tu és o Deus que operas maravilhas e, entre os povos, tens feito notório o teu poder.
15 You have redeemed your people with your arm,the sons of Jacob and Joseph.Selah.
15 Com o teu braço remiste o teu povo, os filhos de Jacó e de José.
16 The waters saw you, God.The waters saw you, and they writhed.The depths also convulsed.
16 Viram-te as águas, ó Deus; as águas te viram e temeram, até os abismos se abalaram.
17 The clouds poured out water.The skies resounded with thunder.Your arrows also flashed around.
17 Grossas nuvens se desfizeram em água; houve trovões nos espaços; também as suas setas cruzaram de uma parte para outra.
18 The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind.The lightnings lit up the world.The earth trembled and shook.
18 O ribombar do teu trovão ecoou na redondeza; os relâmpagos alumiaram o mundo; a terra se abalou e tremeu.
19 Your way was through the sea;your paths through the great waters.Your footsteps were not known.
19 Pelo mar foi o teu caminho; as tuas veredas, pelas grandes águas; e não se descobrem os teus vestígios.
20 You led your people like a flock,by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
20 O teu povo, tu o conduziste, como rebanho, pelas mãos de Moisés e de Arão.
