3 Susu ŋu newaŋgo, dokoro ye komo Uni Parámi towoŋoro ŋande iŋoteŋgo, eneko nuŋgurí piyimi.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Dokoro sokomeko ŋuno ŋande nakayáŋaró,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ŋunde ŋuroko ye iŋondutu unipare, yendo wondo ŋuro hamó iŋoyoteŋgo. Quko uni iŋondutu kama teyoteŋgo quro,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ko,Uni ŋundo Anutu koro mande qu kama howeyoteŋgo, ŋunde ŋuro wondoko ŋuno kheye saŋgawoní umbu raŋowaŋgo. Anutuko, ene otete ŋu tewaŋgo, yero rokó yereró.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Quko yeko unipare Anutuko rokó yereró ŋu, wiri yerete unindoro o qa-qa uni ŋunde qu, unipare meté horé mu,Anutu koro unipareyó hamó ŋu. Ŋunde tero enendo huriri moŋgo ye neko yerero yowosoní eneŋo hiyó metémo maheŋgurí ŋuro seré te inoyi qembe.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Komoko yeko wini qu ka kini, quko itakako Anutu koro unipareyó yoteŋgo. Komoko sikíye kama te yunaró, quko itakako sikíye te yuna.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Uni topo hamó, noko ŋako yeŋo qu kini, yuto nokoye naŋge. Ŋunde ŋuro nondo ŋande yimiroteno, koweye saŋanímboro nuŋgurí ŋu huwóŋoyi qembe, dokoro murí ŋundoko yuqananimboya kuma teyote.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ye kape uniparekeweroyemo khe meté naŋge howeyuri qembe. Hamó, enendo mande kho yunowaŋgo, quko enendo yeŋo muríye meté ŋu qenewaŋgo. Ŋunde tero enendo Anutu noreno maheweya quno ŋuno eneŋo owí hokowaŋgo.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Asa noko koro wiri yerete uni kato mande yiqo, Uni Parámi iŋoro kasirayemo yuri qembe. Wiri yerete uni parámimboro mandí howi qembe,

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Anutuko ŋaro iŋote, ko yendo murí meté mu teyoteŋgo quwore uni kape-kape ŋuro maŋgoye kusiyowaŋgo.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Hamó, oka kato ye kama kusi yerete, kina yoteŋgo. Quko ŋande ma iŋowero, “Nore itaka kina yoteto,” yero uyaro murí piyimi kate-kate tewaŋgo koro. Kini, ye Anutu koro kho simóŋo ŋunde qembe tero khe u-uye howi qembe.

18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Dokoro uni kato Anutu iŋoro otete meté howete, quko unindo o piyimi te inoyi kowe surumí korowoyote tiníqo, enendo owé meté mu reweya.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Qeni, ye o piyimi ka tiqo sopo-sopoyembo yurowaŋgo tiníqo, ye date owé meté mu rewaŋgo? Quko ye murí meté ka tero kowe surumí rero kondé korowoyoteŋgo tiníqo, Anutuko ŋu murí ŋuro iŋote.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Hamó, Anutuko ye murí ŋunde qu howewero quro komo neko yereró, dokoro Kristokoŋuya ye samaka yerewero quro kowe surumí korowaró. Ŋunde tero khí mepémo qenero howewaŋgo. Khí mepémo ŋandiro,
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 — ausente —
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Quko unindo huwó mande yiqo topé ka kama taró; kowe surumí ŋu koroworo mande piyimi kama yaró. Kini, eneŋombo eneŋo rero ronda-ronda uni roneneŋowímboro kandímo raró.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Riní tipiririkoporowoyiqo, enendo noreŋo quhurínani eneŋo kowímo korowaró. Ŋunde korowoní norendo meté otete piyimi teyoteto ŋuro khumoro yoto-yoto keta qu rero otete roneneŋowíŋuro yowato. Eneŋo mamayó piyimi ŋundoko ye yoriní meté yoteŋgo.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Dokoro yeko sipsip wimbo-wimbo yateyaŋgo ŋunde qembe taŋgurí. Quko itakako rohoréŋoro sopo-sopoyemo mahero yoteŋgo, ko sopo-sopoko yuqaye sopoyote.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
