VC Versão Católica
1 Sâ kènê né mene gèh veên dé heè dɔɔ́ŋ, bí sɔ̀m gí bá be teèn: bí té nyeén túé cú, bí té leba nágá cú, bí té huer kú, bí té nùàr júé ndɔ.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Bí dèn sér á faá bɔ̀ huaán mbembɔgɔ̀ nɔ, bɔ́ sòn mé mbán ŋaâm dù bèh. Njèh cén, mbán dé biì né ŋgòr Càŋ, bí té sòn mé njéh dù nyì, te bí kula seér mé njéh, bí yili yuo.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Né te mvù Càŋe nyagá den ye: Bí lé naá giì húɔ́m-temé Nùà Dueè ŋené ŋgweé!»
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mɔ né ménâ, bí ndê bílí dèn gí ká kwarè Nùà Dueè; taá dàn né bú. Bɔ̀ nùàr lé naâ bú ké jomo komo si njií, sâ beè Càŋ taá nùà njèh né seér bú, Càŋ lɔ naá giì bú ter balé kwaá.
4 — ausente —
5 Bí bílí ndé gî ká yoòr seèn, te bí ŋa gi bɔ̀ taá nùà njèh, bí me yila te gwà Càŋ dé koô, Cúcuí seèn cer beh teèn; te ké gwò sâ bí ŋa gi bɔ̀ŋ bɔ̀ *ŋgàŋ sèmè, bí seé Càŋ bɔɔ́ lom mé temé cén, te temé nɔré bú lè mé bí felè Yeésò *Kristò.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Te mvù Càŋe né gi mân nyagá den ndɔ, ye:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Dé biì, taá bú sâ beè biì baá gi mé yilí. Lòù sam, temé biì dɔɔ́ŋ né gi yoòr seèn. Beè bɔ̀ɔ́ mé temé teèn kwá njí ŋgwéh, môn sam. Bɔ́ mene ŋéné kɔ́ ŋgwéh, mé njéh mene,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Né beré déì te mvù Càŋe nyagá den ndɔ ye:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Dé biì, bú a, té cí dèn; lòù sam, bí dé biì né bɔ̀ nùàr Càŋ. Bɔ̀ *ŋgàŋ sèmè dé Nùà Dueè né bí. Càŋ bí hiín nyeén kwaá né ye bí baá bɔ̀ gèh nùàr nyî. À lɔ bí balé sɔɔ́m naâ, ye te bí nde bɔ̀ nùàr be seé nyî tueé, bí ye bɔ́ a, nyí lé bí te cibi ŋa sɔɔ́m naâ kɔɔ́, nyí weh kwaá njií bí bèh ŋagâ ma.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Léí toò bí lé bɔ̀ gèh nùàr Càŋ ná ŋgwêh, bí bɔ̀ gèh nùàr seèn ŋa né kènê. Bí lɔ kɔ́ ná ŋgwêh, ye Càŋ né yeé bí jere kɔɔ́ ndɔ. Baá ye kènê, bí baá fùgò húɔ́m-temé seèn kuú.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Bí kɔ́ɔ ye, ká te wɔ́ŋe bí ndeè né kìn, wa bí nde né wàn cer weh ndɔ. Mɔ né mân, sâ kúkùr biì bɔ̀ mbeí mò, njií mé ŋgàŋ yoòr gwaán né kɔɔ́, bí té temé teèn njí. Lòù sam, bɔ̀ njií sâ lege ye te bɔ́ wula sɔm yɔ̀ŋ biì.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Dene biì ké lètenè bɔ̀ Càŋ-kɔ́ a, dèn lòm dilísé. Mɔ bí né ménâ den, sâ bɔ́ né mene bí jueé, bɔ́ nde né seé bagaà biì ŋené, bɔ́ keí seér cu bí lòù, te loù mé Càŋ ndeè cuù teèn, bɔ́ seén bú.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Bí yoòr sâ né mé yilí Nùà Dueè, bí ŋgwé làrè sòn bɔ̀ kokoô bɔ̀ dɔɔ́ŋ. Bí ŋgwé lòm sòn mgbè dé koô faá cí nɔ, terreb dé koô né beè seèn.
13 — ausente —
14 À bɔ̀ ŋgɔ́mnà terreb haá yeé kɔɔ́, te bɔ́ nde ye bɔ̀ vevenê bɔ̀ seé weh;
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 bɔ̀ɔ́ mé né njèh bɔɔ́ huɔɔ́m, bɔ́ seén nyegé bɔ́ ndɔ. Bí ŋgwé gí sòn bɔɔ̀n. Sâ dɔɔ́ŋ, Càŋ ye te bɔ̀ɔ́ mé né lòù bɔɔ́ ndugó gɔ, sé yeé baá seé bagaà biì ŋené, te sie bɔ́ sòn.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Bí fèh kéh mé dene biì ye bɔ̀ nùàr a, bí baá mé feh biì ma. Njèh cén, mé feh biì bú sâ, né dé bɔ̀ seé bɔ̀ Càŋ, dèn ŋgwéh mé feh biì dé veên bɔɔ̂.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Bí léb làrè toò bɔ̀ nùàr dɔɔ̂ŋ. Bɔ̀ mbaábi mé né te ceér Yeésò Kristò dɔɔ́ŋ, bí gwàn gí bɔ́ mé temé cén, bí né Càŋ mé feh mene veéh, bí né sòn mgbè dé koô ŋgweé ndɔ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Bí bɔ̀ seé bɔ̀, ŋgwé gí sòn bɔ̀ tele seê biì mé gùm mene. Bɔ̀ déì né mene temé huɔɔ́m, bɔ̀ déì mene temé húɔ́m ŋgwéh dɔɔ́ŋ, bí ŋgwé njí sòn bɔɔ̀n kèì cén.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Lòù sam, nuaá mé né gèr mé sòn fuû ŋené dɔɔ́ŋ, mɔ à mé njéh veéh né Càŋ, sâ à bɔɔ́ né njèh bagaà.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Mɔ wò sé la gèr hèllè ŋene né mé yìè veên yeè nɔ, wò sé la bú yóló ná ŋgwêh wa? Neì sé la wò seén naâ kɔɔ́ ndɔ wa? Mɔ bí gèr ŋene seér né mé seé bagaà, bí né mbaá yoló njií, sâ beè Càŋ né njèh bagaà.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 À bí yilá njií naâ bèh cî. Lòù sam, Kristò mé feh seèn lé naâ mé gèr felè biì kwaré, te bí ŋene weh teèn, bí bele ménâ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Sâ ndɔ́g, à lɔ bèh veên déì kɔ́ ná ŋgwêh ndɔ;
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Bɔ́ né mene bú mbaá selé weh,
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 À mé feh seèn lé naâ veên beèh yoòr ŋguú kwaá,
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Lòù sam, bí lé naá giì faá bɔ̀ sòrŋgaŋ mé né lòù sabé gɔ nɔ. Kènê bɔ́ bí bilí kwaá baá ká kwarè nùà njèh. Gó biì né bú.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
