1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Katumo xi nkú joyaha ntínta xi mje ṉkjúhu̱n ntáchiki. B'a̱ ts'ín katuma mjenu̱u én xi ndoo̱. Kui xi tsjá nga'yúhu̱n kju̱a̱nkjintak'unnu̱u, tu̱ xi b'a̱ ts'ín sa̱áhanu santaha nkúhu nga kju̱áts'e̱ sínnu̱u Nti̱a̱ná.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Xihi̱ jahá kichjut'o ngandaha̱ Nda̱ Nti̱a̱ná.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Nibák'un tiñoho̱o Nda̱ Nti̱a̱ná, kui xi nkú joyaha nku ndji̱o̱ xi tíjña tík'un. Kikjaníya xu̱ta̱ ndji̱o̱ xu'bo̱, tu̱nga Nti̱a̱náhá j'ájin ndji̱o̱ ko̱ nginku̱n Nti̱a̱ná 'yún chjíhi̱ ra̱.
4 — ausente —
5 Jun xi nkú joyaha ndji̱o̱ xi tjíntu tík'un, xi kin'endako̱ho nku ni̱nku̱ xi najmi a̱sunntee̱ y'aha̱ ra̱. Kin'e manu̱u já na̱'mi jehe̱ Nti̱a̱ná xi tsjáha̱ chje̱ Jesucristo̱, chje̱ xi nk'a ján tje̱he̱n ra̱. A̱ Nti̱a̱náhá tí'bo̱ho̱ kui chje̱ nga b'a̱ tín'o, kui chje̱ xi sasíhi̱n Nti̱a̱ná.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 A̱t'aha̱ b'i̱ ts'ín tjít'a xu̱ju̱n éhe̱n Nti̱a̱ná:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Nga̱t'a ts'a̱jun xi s'ejinnu̱u Nda̱ Nti̱a̱ná, chjíhi̱ ra̱ kui ndji̱o̱. Tu̱nga xi najmi s'ejihi̱n, bitjusun má nga b'i̱ ts'ín tjít'a xu̱ju̱n éhe̱n Nti̱a̱ná:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ko̱ b'i̱ ta̱ títsu ya:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Tu̱nga máha jun, jun xi xu̱ta̱ xi kichj'ajin, jun já na̱'mi xi ts'ínxát'aha̱ xi batéxumaha̱ nk'a ján, tsjenú jun xi xu̱ta̱ na̱xi̱nantáha̱ Nti̱a̱ná, xu̱ta̱ xi ja tsichu ma ts'e̱ Nti̱a̱ná. B'a̱ kin'e manu̱u tu̱ xi ku̱i̱xínyahanu xi nkú ts'ín chánka xi j'ájinnu̱u. A̱t'aha̱ Nti̱a̱ná j'ájinnu̱u nga ku̱i̱tjujiun má jyuu̱n ko̱ nga ku̱i̱tjás'e̱njiun má nga ts'ín ndzjen kju̱a̱chánkaha̱.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ni̱stjin nk'ie, najmi xu̱ta̱ na̱xi̱nantá kik'innu̱u, tu̱nga nd'a̱i̱ ja tsichumo xu̱ta̱ na̱xi̱nantáha̱ Nti̱a̱ná. Ko̱ ni̱stjin nk'ie najmi kichase ni̱ma̱nu̱u, tu̱nga nd'a̱i̱ ja tíchase ni̱ma̱nu̱u.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Tjona jun, já nts'e. Tíbankinu̱u nga t'ech'óho̱o yjonu̱u xi nkú ts'ín mjehe̱ ani̱ma̱nu̱u. A̱t'aha̱ kui nii̱, kui xi tífi kontra̱nu̱u. Yo nga xin nankinu̱u ko̱ tu̱ tínimasúnnú e̱i̱ a̱sunntei̱.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Tu̱ nku kixi̱hí tankínko̱o yjonu̱u a̱jihi̱n xu̱ta̱ xi najmi be Nti̱a̱ná. B'a̱ n'o̱o ndaha tsa b'a̱ i̱ncha ku̱i̱tsu̱ nga najmi nda tín'o. Tu̱nga i̱ncha sku̱e̱hé ni nda xi n'o̱o ko̱ ts'i̱íntsjoho̱ Nti̱a̱ná ni̱stjin nga ku̱a̱nki kuenta̱.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Nga̱t'aha̱ nga Nda̱ Nti̱a̱ná ts'e̱nu̱u, kui nga cha̱nkjúhunnu ngayjee̱ já xi tjíhi̱n xá e̱i̱ a̱sunntei̱. B'a̱ n'o̱o nginku̱n nda̱ títjun k'aku̱ Roma̱
13 — ausente —
14 ko̱ b'a̱ n'o̱o nginku̱n já k'aku̱ xi b'éxá nda̱ títjun k'aku̱ nga ts'ínnijéhe̱ xi ch'on ts'ín ko̱ nga kja̱nínk'a xi nda ts'ín.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 A̱t'aha̱ mjehe̱ Nti̱a̱ná nga n'o̱o ni xi nda. B'a̱ ts'ín k'úéchjahanu ts'a xu̱ta̱ xi najmi be Nti̱a̱ná ko̱ najmi mankjihi̱n ni xi ts'e̱.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Nda̱ínu̱u yjonu̱u nginku̱n Nti̱a̱ná, tu̱nga najmi tu̱ n'echjénnú kju̱a̱nda̱ínu̱u tsa k'u̱a̱i̱ntoho̱o yjonu̱u nga n'o̱o ni xi najmi nda. Tu̱ sa ní ti̱ntsu̱bo̱o xi nkú ts'ín b'entu xu̱ta̱ xi ts'ínxát'aha̱ Nti̱a̱ná.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Cha̱nkjún ngayjee̱ xu̱ta̱. N'e̱tjó xi ta̱ Ntíhi̱ Nti̱a̱ná. Cha̱nkjún Nti̱a̱ná. Nu̱ú'yá'óho̱on nda̱ títjun k'aku̱ Roma̱.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Jun xu̱ta̱ musu̱ xi kich'atsenu̱u, cha̱nkjún já nti̱a̱nu̱u ko̱ nu̱ú'yá'óho̱on, najmi tu̱ suba xi nda tjíyaha̱ ko̱ xi ma ni̱ma̱ha̱ jun xi b'a̱ n'e̱ko̱o. B'a̱ ní ta̱ n'e̱ko̱o xi kjan ts'ínko̱nu̱u.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 A̱t'aha̱ nda nginku̱n Nti̱a̱ná nga ts'i̱ín chúkju̱a̱ jámu̱su̱ kju̱a̱'un xi tíf'ajin, ndaha tsa najmi tjíhin nga kj'u̱a̱jin niu̱ kai, tu̱nga ts'ín chúkju̱a̱há a̱t'aha̱ ja kitsjáha̱ yjoho̱ Nti̱a̱ná.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Tu̱nga tsa ch'on tín'o ko̱ tsa a̱s'a̱i títs'ín'unnu̱u já nti̱a̱nu̱u ko̱ tín'echjúkju̱o, ¿mí ni chánkaha xi tín'o ma? Tu̱nga tsa nda tín'o ko̱ a̱s'a̱i tín'e chúkju̱o kju̱a̱'un xi tíbitjajíún, kuihí ni xu'bi̱ xi nda nginku̱n Nti̱a̱ná.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 J'ájinnu̱u Nti̱a̱ná nga n'o̱o ni xi nda ko̱ nga n'e̱ chúkju̱o ni xi tu̱ kju̱a̱ndahá ku̱i̱tjájiun, xi nkú ta̱ kits'ín Cristo̱ nga un kikiehe̱ ngandanu̱u. Y'éjña chu̱ba̱yanu̱u, tu̱ xi b'a̱ ta̱ n'e̱henu.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Najmi kits'ín ngatitsun ko̱ najmi kik'ana̱cha̱.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Nk'ie nga ch'on kik'ihi̱n, najmi ch'on ts'ín kits'ínk'óya. Nk'ie nga un kikiehe̱, najmi b'a̱ kitsú nga k'u̱a̱sje chjí ni xi tín'ehe̱. Tu̱ sa ní a̱ya ntsja Nti̱a̱ná y'éjñaya yjoho̱, a̱t'aha̱ kui xi kixi̱ ts'ín kju̱a̱.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kui kikjin kik'anji ngatitsunná nga kis'et'a kruu̱. B'a̱ kits'ín tu̱ xi ku̱a̱yáha̱ ra̱á ngatitsuu̱n ko̱ na̱xu̱ n'e̱é nga ku̱i̱ntsu̱ba̱á. Ko̱ tu̱ nga̱t'aha̱ nga kin'e'uhu̱n Cristo̱, kui nga kin'enkihi̱nu̱u.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ni̱stjin nk'ie xi nkú joyaha chu̱tsa̱nka̱ xi ngji t'axín kamo, tu̱nga nd'a̱i̱ ja kik'óyak'un ngáhanu Nda̱ bastuu̱, kui xi kunnu̱u.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
