4 — ausente —
5 ti̱koa̱á k'oa̱á s'ín ngaya‑nò koni nda̱jo̱ xi títsa̱jnakon. Nainá tísíkjeén‑nò koni nda̱jo̱ nga tíbíndaà ni'ya tsjeè‑la̱ mé‑ne jñò, no̱'miì tsjeè ko̱ma nga ya̱ si̱xá nga i̱t'aà ts'e̱ Jesucristo k'oi̱‑là kjo̱tjò Nainá xi jè ndaà sasén‑la̱ koni s'ín okóya Ini̱ma̱ Tsjeè‑la̱.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 K'oa̱á s'ín tíchja̱ Xo̱jo̱n‑la̱ Nainá nga tsò:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Jñò, xi mokjeiín‑nò i̱t'aà ts'e̱ nda̱jo̱ jè, bixón‑nò: 'ñó tse chjí‑la̱. Ta̱nga jñà xi̱ta̱ xi mìkiì mokjeiín‑la̱, bitasòn‑né koni s'ín tíchja̱ Xo̱jo̱n‑la̱ Nainá nga tsò:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ìjngoò k'a tjít'aà Xo̱jo̱n‑la̱ Nainá ñánda tsò:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ta̱nga jñò, xi̱ta̱ na̱xa̱ndá xi xó kitjaàjiìn‑nò. Jñò, no̱'miì xi nìxá‑la Cristo, jè xi xi̱ta̱xá ítjòn tíjna. 9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Jñò, nga sa̱ kjòtseé skanda mìtsà xi̱ta̱ na̱xa̱ndá 'mì‑nò; ta̱nga i̱'ndei̱ na̱xa̱ndá‑la̱ Nainá 'mì‑nò. Nga sa̱ kjòtseé Nainá mìkiì mahi̱ma̱keè‑nò; ta̱nga i̱'ndei̱, jyeé mahi̱ma̱keè‑nò.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.

11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ndaà tanguíko̱o yijo‑nò ya̱ i̱jiìn‑la̱ xi̱ta̱ xi mìkiì mokjeiín‑la̱ i̱t'aà ts'e̱ Cristo. Jñà xi̱ta̱ koi, na̱s'ín chja̱jno‑nò i̱'ndei̱, ta̱nga k'e̱ nga kjoi̱í ìjngoò k'a Cristo tsjá‑la̱ kjo̱ndaà Nainá koií kjoa̱‑la̱ nga skoe̱xkon‑nò nga ndaà titsa̱'nè.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Nga jeya kíjna‑ne Na̱'èn‑ná, ti̱kitasòn‑là ngats'iì xi̱ta̱ i̱sò'nde xi kjo̱tíxoma tjíya tsja, jñà xi 'ñó 'nga xá tjín‑la̱, xi xi̱ta̱ sko̱‑la̱ títsa̱jna;

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;

19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Jñò, tsà kjo̱'in tsjá‑nò xi̱ta̱ nga jé binchaàtsjioò, ¿mé xi ndaà ki̱tsa̱jna‑nò? Ta̱nga tsà kjo̱'in titsa̱nìkjioón nga ndaà 'nè, ndaà si̱ìkítsa̱jna‑nò Nainá.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Nga koií xá kiìchja̱‑nò Nainá nga jè Cristo kisìkjeiín kjo̱'in xi kjoa̱ tsa̱jòn. Tsibíjna jngoò‑nò chi̱ba̱ nga k'oa̱s'ín si̱kitasòn koni s'ín kisìkitasòn jè.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Cristo, ni̱jngoò jé tsohótsji, ko̱ ni̱jngoò 'én ndiso kiìchja̱.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 K'e̱ nga kiìchja̱jno‑la̱ xi̱ta̱, mìkiì tsà kiìchja̱jno ngajo‑la̱. K'e̱ nga kisìkjeiín kjo̱'in, mìkiì tsà koa̱ ti̱s'ín kis'iìn ngajo‑ne. Ta Nainá tsibíya tsja, nga jè xi bíndaàjiìn kjoa̱kixi̱.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Jè sobà Cristo tsakaje̱n jé‑ná k'e̱ nga kisìtjoòt'aà yijo‑la̱ ya̱ krò, mé‑ne jñá ki̱tsa̱jnakon‑ná nga nìkitasoán xi kjoa̱ kixi̱ nga jyeé titsa̱jnat'aàxìn‑lá kjoa̱ ts'e̱ jé koni tsà jye k'eén. Jè Cristo, koni s'ín kisìkjeiín kjo̱'in nga kitsì'on, jñò kjòndaá‑nò.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Jñò, nga sa̱ kjòtseé, k'oa̱á s'ín tsitjaà koni orrè xi kisìjchàaxkon ndi̱yá‑la̱, ta̱nga i̱'ndei̱, jyeé inchrobàt'aà‑là Cristo koni jngoò paxtò xi síkinda̱ ini̱ma̱‑nò.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
