1 A psalm of David. O Lord, I call thee, hasten unto me: give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
1 SENHOR, a ti clamo, escuta-me; inclina os teus ouvidos à minha voz, quando a ti clamar.
2 May my prayer be valued as incense before thee, the lifting up of my hands, as the evening offering.
2 Suba a minha oração perante a tua face como incenso, e as minhas mãos levantadas sejam como o sacrifício da tarde.
3 Set, O Lord, a watch unto my mouth: keep a guard at the door of my lips.
3 Põe, ó Senhor, uma guarda à minha boca; guarda a porta dos meus lábios.
4 Permit not my heart to incline after any evil thing, to practise deeds in wickedness with men that are doers of wrong: and let me not eat of their dainties.
4 Não inclines o meu coração a coisas más, a praticar obras más, com aqueles que praticam a iniqüidade; e não coma das suas delícias.
5 If the righteous strike me, it is a kindness; and if he reprove me, it is as oil poured on the head, my head shall not refuse it; for yet my prayer also is offered in their sufferings.
5 Fira-me o justo, será isso uma benignidade; e repreenda-me, será um excelente óleo, que não me quebrará a cabeça; pois a minha oração também ainda continuará nas suas próprias calamidades.
6 Are their judges fallen down through means of a rock: then will they listen to my words; for they are pleasant.
6 Quando os seus juízes forem derrubados pelos lados da rocha, ouvirão as minhas palavras, pois são agradáveis.
7 As when one cutteth in and splitteth open the earth: so are our bones scattered for the mouth of the grave.
7 Os nossos ossos são espalhados à boca da sepultura como se alguém fendera e partira lenha na terra.
8 For unto thee, O Eternal Lord, are my eyes directed; in thee do I trust: pour not out my life.
8 Mas os meus olhos te contemplam, ó DEUS o Senhor; em ti confio; não desnudes a minha alma.
9 Guard me from the power of the snare which they have laid for me, and the traps of the wrongdoers.
9 Guarda-me dos laços que me armaram; e dos laços corrediços dos que praticam a iniqüidade.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, altogetherwhile I pass safely by.
10 Caiam os ímpios nas suas próprias redes, até que eu tenha escapado inteiramente.
