Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NVT
1 A song of the degrees. Those who trust in the Lord are like mount Zion, which will not he moved, which endureth for ever.
1 Os que confiam no S enhor são como o monte Sião; não serão abalados, mas permanecerão para sempre.
2 Jerusalem hath mountains round about her: and so is the Lord round about his people, from this time forth and for evermore.
2 Assim como os montes cercam Jerusalém, o S
3 For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous: in order that the righteous may not stretch forth their hands unto wrongdoing.
3 Os perversos não governarão a terra dos justos, para que os justos não sejam tentados a fazer o mal.
4 Do good, O Lord, unto the good, and to those that are upright in their hearts.
4 Ó S enhor , faze o bem àqueles que são bons, aos que têm o coração sincero.
5 But as for those who turn aside unto their crooked ways, them will the Lord drive away with the workers of wickedness; but peace shall be upon Israel.
5 Expulsa, porém, os que andam por caminhos tortuosos, ó S enhor ; leva-os embora junto com os que praticam o mal. Que Israel tenha paz!
