1 By David, a psalm. The Eternal saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I place thy enemies as a stool for thy feet.
1 O Senhor Deus disse ao meu senhor, o rei: “Sente-se do meu lado direito, até que eu ponha os seus inimigos debaixo dos seus pés.”
2 The staff of thy strength will the Eternal stretch forth out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thy enemies.
2 Ó rei, o Senhor Deus estenderá desde Jerusalém o poder do senhor. “Domine os seus inimigos” — disse o
3 Thy people will bring freewillgifts on the day of thy power, in the ornaments of holiness: as out of the bosom of the morningdawn so is thine the dew of thy youth.
3 No dia em que o senhor, ó rei, os combater, o seu povo se apresentará como voluntário. Como o orvalho da madrugada, os jovens se encontrarão com o senhor nos montes sagrados.
4 The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent of it, Thou shalt be a priest for ever after the order of Malkizedek.
4 O Senhor Deus fez este juramento e não voltará atrás: “Você será sacerdote para sempre, na ordem do sacerdócio de Melquisedeque.”
5 The Lord at thy right hand crusheth kings on the day of his wrath.
5 Ó rei, Deus está do seu lado direito e derrotará reis no dia em que se
6 He will judge among the nationsthere shall be a fulness of corpseshe crusheth heads on a widespread land.
6 Ele julgará as nações, cobrirá de mortos os campos de batalha e, no mundo inteiro, derrotará reis.
7 From the brook will he drink on the way: therefore will he lift up the head.
7 No caminho, o rei beberá água de um ribeirão e se levantará vitorioso.
