1 Woe to her that is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city!
1 Ai daquela que é imunda e impura, da cidade opressora!
2 She hearkened not to any voice; she accepted no correction; in the Lord she did not trust; to her God she drew not near.
2 Ela não obedeceu à voz, não recebeu correção; ela não confiou no SENHOR, nem se aproximou do seu Deus.
3 Her princes in her midst are roaring lions: her judges are evening wolves, they leave not a bone for the morning.
3 Os seus príncipes no meio dela são leões rugidores; os seus juízes são lobos da noite, que não deixam os ossos para o dia seguinte.
4 Her prophets are thoughtless men of treachery: her priests have profaned the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
4 Os seus profetas são levianos e pessoas traiçoeiras; os seus sacerdotes poluíram o santuário, e fizeram violência à lei.
5 The just Lord is in her midst, he will not do wrong; morning after morning doth he bring his justice to the light of day, it never faileth; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
5 O justo SENHOR está no meio dela, ele não comete iniquidade; cada manhã traz o seu juízo à luz, ele não falha; mas o injusto não conhece a vergonha.
6 I have cut off nations; destroyed are their battlements; I have laid in ruins their streets, so that none passeth through; their cities are wasted, without a man, without an inhabitant.
6 Eu exterminei as nações, suas torres estão desoladas; fiz desertas as suas ruas, para que ninguém passe por elas; as suas cidades foram destruídas, até não ficar nenhum homem, até não haver quem as habite.
7 I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt accept correction; so that her dwelling should not be cut off, all that I had decreed to bring over her; but they rose up early, they acted corruptly in all their doings.
7 Eu disse: Certamente me temerás, e receberás a instrução; e assim a sua habitação não seria destruída, conforme tudo aquilo porque a castiguei; mas eles se levantaram cedo, e corromperam todas as suas obras.
8 Therefore wait but for me, saith the Lord, for the day that I rise up to the prey; for my judgment cometh to gather the nations, for me to assemble the kingdoms, to pour over them my indignation, all the fierceness of my anger; for through the fire of my jealousy shall all the earth be devoured.
8 Portanto esperai-me, diz o SENHOR, até o dia em que eu me levantar para o meu despojo; pois a minha determinação é ajuntar as nações, e congregar os reinos, para derramar sobre eles a minha indignação, e todo o ardor da minha ira; porque toda a terra será devorada pelo fogo do meu ciúme.
9 Yea then will I change unto the people a pure language, that they may all call on the name of the Lord, to serve him with one accord.
9 Porque, então, darei aos povos uma linguagem pura, para que todos possam invocar o nome do SENHOR, para servi-lo com um mesmo consenso.
10 From beyond the rivers of Cush shall they bring my suppliants, even the assembly of my dispersed, as an offering unto me.
10 Dalém dos rios da Etiópia, meus suplicantes, até a filha dos meus dispersos, me trarão oferta.
11 On that day shalt thou not be ashamed because of all thy doings, whereby thou hast transgressed against me; for then will I remove out of the midst of thee those that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt never more be haughty again on my holy mount.
11 Naquele dia não te envergonharás de nenhuma das tuas obras, com as quais transgrediste contra mim; porque então tirarei do meio de ti os que regozijam na tua arrogância, e tu nunca mais te ensoberbecerás por causa do meu santo monte.
12 And I will leave remaining in the midst of thee a humble and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the Lord.
12 Eu também deixarei no meio de ti um povo aflito e pobre, e eles confiarão no nome do SENHOR.
13 The remnant of Israel shall not do injustice, nor speak lies; and there shall not be found in their mouth a deceitful tongue; for they shall feed and lie down, with none to make them afraid.
13 O remanescente de Israel não cometerá iniquidade, nem falará mentiras, e não se achará língua enganosa na sua boca; mas serão alimentados e se deitarão, e ninguém os fará ter medo.
14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; rejoice and be glad with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!
14 Canta, ó filha de Sião, grita, ó Israel; regozija-te e exulta de todo o coração, ó filha de Jerusalém.
15 The Lord hath removed thy punishment, he hath cleared away thy enemy: the king of Israel, the Lord, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not see evil any more.
15 O SENHOR retirou os teus juízos, exterminou o teu inimigo; o rei de Israel, o SENHOR, está no meio de ti; tu não verás mais mal algum.
16 On that day shall it be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: to Zion, Let not thy hands become weak.
16 Naquele dia será dito a Jerusalém: Não temas; e a Sião: Não se enfraqueçam as tuas mãos.
17 The Lord thy God is in the midst of thee, the mighty one who will save; he will be glad over thee with rejoicing; he will be silent in his love, he will exult over thee with song.
17 O SENHOR teu Deus no meio de ti é poderoso; ele salvará, e se deleitará em ti com alegria; ele descansará em seu amor, e se alegrará em ti com cânticos.
18 Those that mourn far away from the festive assembly do I gather, those that were separated from thee, that have borne for thee the burden of reproach.
18 Eu ajuntarei aqueles que estão entristecidos por causa da assembleia solene; esses que são de ti e para os quais a reprovação dela era um fardo.
19 Behold, I will deal severely with all that afflict thee at that time: and I will save her that halteth, and her that was driven off will I gather; and I will render them a praise and a famous name on all the earth where they have been put to shame.
19 Eis que, naquele tempo, procederei contra todos os que te afligem, e salvarei a que coxeia, e recolherei a que foi expulsa; e deles farei um louvor e um nome em toda a terra em que foram colocados à vergonha.
20 At that time will I bring you back, even in the time that I gather you; for I will make you for a name and for a praise among all people of the earth, when I bring back again your captives before your eyes, saith the Lord.
20 Naquele tempo, eu vos trarei novamente, e vos recolherei; pois farei de vós um nome e um louvor entre todos os povos da terra, quando fizer voltar os vossos cativos diante dos vossos olhos, diz o SENHOR.
