Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NVT
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,
1 Em 7 de janeiro, no décimo ano do exílio do rei Joaquim, recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
2 Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt.
2 “Filho do homem, volte o rosto para o Egito e profetize contra o faraó, rei do Egito, e todo o seu povo.
3 Speak and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great crocodile that lieth in the midst of his streams, who hath said, Mine is my stream, and I have made it for myself.
3 Transmita-lhes esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: “Sou seu inimigo, ó faraó, rei do Egito, grande monstro à espreita nos ribeiros do Nilo! Pois você disse: ‘O rio Nilo é meu; eu o fiz para mim’.
4 But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will fasten the fish of thy streams on thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy streams, with all the fish of thy streams which shall stick fast on thy scales.
4 Porei anzóis em seu queixo e o arrastarei para a terra firme, com peixes presos a suas escamas.
5 And I will cast thee out into the wilderness, thee with all the fish of thy streams; upon the open field shalt thou fall; thou shalt not be brought in, nor gathered up: to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven have I given thee for food.
5 Abandonarei no deserto, para morrerem, você e todos os peixes de seu rio. Ficará em campo aberto, sem ser enterrado, pois o entreguei como alimento aos animais selvagens e às aves.
6 And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord; because they have been a reedstaff to the house of Israel.
6 Todo o povo do Egito saberá que eu sou o S enhor , pois, para Israel, você foi apenas um bordão de juncos.
7 When they took hold of thee with the hand, thou wast cracked, and didst rend for them all the shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou wast broken, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
7 Quando Israel o usou como apoio, você rachou e lhe feriu o ombro. Quando ele colocou sobre você o peso, você desmoronou e o fez machucar as costas.
8 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and I will cut off out of thee man and beast.
8 “Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Trarei a espada contra você, ó Egito, e destruirei tanto pessoas como animais.
9 And the land of Egypt shall be changed into a waste and ruin, and they shall know that I am the Lord; because he hath said, The stream is mine, and I have made it.
9 A terra do Egito ficará seca e desolada, e os egípcios saberão que eu sou o S enhor . “Porque você disse: ‘O rio Nilo é meu; eu o fiz’,
10 Therefore, behold, I will be against thee, and against thy streams, and I will render the land of Egypt a mass of ruins, a waste, and a wilderness, from Migdol to Seveneh even up to the border of Ethiopia.
10 agora sou seu inimigo e de seu rio. Tornarei a terra do Egito completamente seca e desolada, desde Migdol até Assuã, e até o sul, na fronteira com a Etiópia.
11 There shall not pass through it the foot of man, and the foot of beast shall not pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited forty years.
11 Durante quarenta anos, ninguém habitará nem passará por ali, nem pessoas nem animais.
12 And I will render the land of Egypt a desolate land in the midst of desolated countries, and her cities among the cities that are ruined shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
12 Farei do Egito uma nação desolada, cercada por outras nações desoladas. Suas cidades ficarão vazias e devastadas durante quarenta anos, cercadas por outras cidades devastadas. Eu espalharei os egípcios entre as nações do mundo.
13 For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, only at the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they shall have been scattered;
13 “Mas assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Depois de quarenta anos, trarei os egípcios de volta das nações entre as quais foram espalhados.
14 And I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their own origin: and they shall be there an unimportant kingdom.
14 Restaurarei o Egito e trarei seu povo de volta à terra de Patros, no sul, de onde eles vieram. No entanto, continuará a ser um reino sem importância.
15 Among the kingdoms it shall be the lowest; neither shall it raise itself any more above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
15 Será a mais humilde das nações e nunca voltará a se elevar acima de seus vizinhos. Eu a tornarei tão pequena que não dominará mais nação alguma.
16 And it shall be no more unto the house of Israel for a dependence, bringing their iniquity to remembrance, when they turned after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.
16 “Então Israel não confiará mais na ajuda do Egito. O Egito ficará tão devastado que lembrará Israel do pecado que cometeu ao confiar nele no passado. Então saberão que eu sou o S enhor Soberano”.
17 And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, on the first of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
17 Em 26 de abril, o primeiro dia do ano novo, durante o vigésimo sétimo ano do exílio do rei Joaquim, recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath caused his army to perform a great service against Tyre; every head hath been made bald, and every shoulder hath been rubbed sore: yet no reward hath come to him or to his army from Tyre, for the service that he hath performed against it.
18 “Filho do homem, o exército de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, lutou contra Tiro com tanto afinco que a cabeça de seus guerreiros foi esfregada até perder o cabelo e seus ombros ficarem esfolados. E, no entanto, Nabucodonosor e seu exército não conquistaram nenhum despojo para compensar todo o esforço.
19 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will give unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon the land of Egypt; and he shall carry away its multitude, and take its spoil, and plunder its prey: and this shall be the reward for his army.
19 Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Darei a terra do Egito a Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia. Ele levará sua riqueza e saqueará tudo que houver ali para pagar seu exército.
20 As his recompense for that which he hath served against it, have I given him the land of Egypt, for that which they had done against me, saith the Lord Eternal.
20 Sim, eu lhe dei a terra do Egito como recompensa por seu esforço, diz o S enhor Soberano, pois ele estava trabalhando para mim quando destruiu Tiro.
21 On that day will I cause to grow a horn for the house of Israel, and unto thee will I open the mouth in the midst of them: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
21 “E virá o dia em que farei reviver a antiga glória de Israel, e suas palavras, Ezequiel, serão ouvidas abertamente. Então eles saberão que eu sou o S enhor ”.
