1 And it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was in the midst of the exiles by the river Kebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw divine visions.
1 No trigésimo ano, no quinto dia do quarto mês, estando eu no meio dos exilados, junto ao rio Quebar, os céus se abriram e eu tive visões de Deus.
2 On the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of the exile of king Jehoyachin,
2 No quinto dia do referido mês, no quinto ano de cativeiro do rei Joaquim,
3 Came the word of the Lord expressly unto Ezekiel the son of Buzi, the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Kebar; and there came upon him there the inspiration of the Lord.
3 a palavra do Senhor veio expressamente a Ezequiel, filho de Buzi, o sacerdote, na terra dos caldeus, junto ao rio Quebar. Ali a mão do Senhor esteve sobre ele.
4 And I saw, and behold, a stormwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a flaming fire, and a brightness was on it round about; and out of the midst of it was like the glitter of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
4 Olhei, e eis que do Norte vinha um vento tempestuoso e uma grande nuvem envolta em fogo e rodeada de resplendor. E no meio disso havia uma coisa como metal brilhante, que saía do meio do fogo.
5 And out of the midst thereof I saw the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: They had the likeness of a man.
5 Do meio disso saía algo semelhante a quatro seres viventes, cuja aparência era esta: tinham a semelhança de ser humano.
6 And every one had four faces, and every one of them had four wings.
6 Cada um tinha quatro rostos e quatro asas.
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calfs foot: and they sparkled like the glitter of burnished copper.
7 As suas pernas eram retas, e a planta dos pés era como a de um bezerro e brilhavam como bronze polido.
8 And hands of man were visible from beneath their wings on their four sides: and their faces and their wings were alike on all these four.
8 Debaixo das asas, nos quatro lados, tinham mãos humanas. Assim, todos os quatro seres viventes tinham rostos e asas.
9 Their wings were joined one to the other: they turned not about in their going; they went every one in the direction of one of their faces.
9 As asas se uniam uma à outra. Eles não se viravam quando se moviam; cada um andava para a sua frente.
10 And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man; and the face of a lion, on the right side for all four of them; and the face of an ox on the left side for all four of them; and the face of an eagle for all four of them.
10 Quanto à forma de seus rostos, cada um tinha um rosto de ser humano. Do lado direito, os quatro tinham rosto de leão; do lado esquerdo, rosto de boi; e os quatro também tinham rosto de águia.
11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were spread out upward; every one had two joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
11 Assim eram os seus rostos. Suas asas se abriam para cima. Cada ser vivente tinha duas asas, unidas cada uma à do outro; com as outras duas asas eles cobriam o corpo.
12 And they went every one in the direction of one of his faces: whither the spirit was directed to go, they went; they turned not about in their going.
12 Cada um andava para a sua frente. Para onde o espírito queria ir, eles iam; não se viravam quando se moviam.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like coals of fire, burning as with the appearance of torches; this fire it was which passed along between the living creatures: and a brightness was about the fire, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
13 O aspecto dos seres viventes era como carvão em brasa, à semelhança de tochas. O fogo corria resplandecente por entre os seres viventes, e dele saíam relâmpagos.
14 And the living creatures ran backward and forward like the appearance of a flash of lightning.
14 Os seres viventes ziguezagueavam à semelhança de relâmpagos.
15 And I looked on the living creatures, and, behold, there was one wheel upon the earth close by the living creatures, by their four front faces.
15 Quando eu estava olhando para os seres viventes, eis que havia uma roda no chão, ao lado de cada um deles.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like the color of a chrysolite; and all four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as though it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
16 O aspecto das rodas e a sua estrutura eram brilhantes como o berilo. As quatro tinham a mesma aparência, cujo aspecto e estrutura eram como se uma roda estivesse dentro da outra.
17 Toward their four sides they went in their going: they turned not round in their going.
17 Quando elas andavam, podiam ir em quatro direções e não se viravam quando se moviam.
18 As for their circumferences, they were so high that they excited fear: and their felloes were full of eyes round about on all these four.
18 Os aros dessas rodas eram altos e metiam medo; e, nas quatro rodas, os aros estavam cheios de olhos ao redor.
19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went near to them: and when the living creatures lifted themselves up from the earth, the wheels lifted themselves up.
19 Quando os seres viventes se moviam, as rodas se moviam ao lado deles; quando eles se elevavam do chão, também as rodas se elevavam.
20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went; for thither was their spirit to go: and the wheels lifted themselves up at the same time with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
20 Para onde o espírito queria ir, eles iam, pois o espírito os impelia; e as rodas se elevavam do chão juntamente com eles, porque nelas estava o espírito dos seres viventes.
21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those lifted themselves up from the earth, the wheels lifted themselves up at the same time with them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 Quando os seres viventes se moviam, as rodas se moviam; quando eles paravam, as rodas paravam; e, quando eles se elevavam do chão, as rodas também se elevavam com eles; porque o espírito dos seres viventes estava nas rodas.
22 And the likeness of a vault was over the head of the living creatures, shining like the glitter of the purest crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
22 Sobre a cabeça dos seres viventes havia algo semelhante ao firmamento, como cristal brilhante que metia medo, estendido por sobre a cabeça deles.
23 And under the vault their wings were straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered them, and every one had two, which covered them,namely, their bodies.
23 Por debaixo do firmamento, cada ser vivente estendia duas asas na direção do ser que lhe estava próximo; e com as outras duas asas cobriam o corpo.
24 And I heard the sound of their wings, like the sound of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, when they went, the sound of their speech, as the noise of an army: when they stood still, they let down their wings.
24 Quando eles andaram, ouvi o ruído das suas asas, que era como o som de muitas águas, como a voz do Onipotente, um som de tumulto como o tropel de um exército. Quando eles paravam, abaixavam as asas.
25 And there was a voice from the vault that was over their head: when they stood still, they let down their wings.
25 Veio uma voz de cima do firmamento que estava sobre a cabeça deles. Quando eles paravam, abaixavam as asas.
26 And above the vault that was over their head was like the appearance of a sapphirestone, the likeness of a throne: and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
26 Por cima do firmamento que estava sobre a cabeça dos seres viventes, havia algo semelhante a um trono, como uma safira; e, sobre essa espécie de trono, estava sentada uma figura semelhante a um ser humano.
27 And I saw as if it were the glitter of amber, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins upward; and from the appearance of his loins downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
27 Vi que essa figura era como metal brilhante, como um fogo ao redor dela, desde a sua cintura e daí para cima; e desde a sua cintura e daí para baixo, vi que essa figura era como fogo e havia um resplendor ao redor dela.
28 Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about: this was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one that spoke.
28 Como o aspecto do arco que aparece nas nuvens em dia de chuva, assim era o resplendor ao redor. Esta era a aparência da glória do Senhor . Ao ver isto, caí com o rosto em terra e ouvi a voz de quem falava.
