Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NTLH
1 Hear this word which the Lord hath spoken concerning you, O children of Israel, concerning the whole family which I have brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
1 Povo de Israel, escute o que o Senhor Deus disse a respeito de vocês, o povo que ele tirou do Egito:
2 Only you have I loved out of all the families of the earth: therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities.
2 — No mundo inteiro, vocês são o único povo que eu escolhi para ser meu. Por isso, tenho de castigá-los por causa de todos os pecados que vocês cometeram.
3 Will two walk together, except they had agreed to do so?
3 Por acaso, duas pessoas viajam juntas, sem terem combinado antes?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion send forth his voice out of his den, unless he have caught something?
4 Será que o leão ruge na floresta, sem ter achado algum animal para caçar? Será que o leão novo fica rosnando na caverna, se não tiver pegado nada?
5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, when there is no gin for him? is ever a snare taken up from the ground, when it hath caught nothing at all?
5 Será que um passarinho cai numa armadilha que não estava armada? Será que uma armadilha se desarma sem ter pegado algum animal?
6 Shall a cornet be blown in a city, and the people not become afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord have not done it?
6 Quando tocam a corneta de alarme, será que o povo não fica com medo? Por acaso, cai alguma desgraça sobre uma cidade, sem que o
7 For the Lord Eternal will do nothing, unless he have revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets.
7 Por acaso, o Senhor Deus faz alguma coisa sem revelar aos seus servos , os profetas ?
8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord Eternal hath spoken, who will not prophesy?
8 Quando o leão ruge, quem não fica com medo? Quando o
9 Publish at the palaces in Ashdod, and at the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great confusions in her midst, and the oppressions that are within her.
9 Anunciem nos palácios de Asdode e do Egito o seguinte: “Reúnam-se nos montes que ficam ao redor de Samaria e vejam a desordem que existe na cidade e os crimes que são cometidos.”
10 For they know not how to act rightly, saith the Lord, who treasure up violence and robbery in their palaces.
10 O Senhor Deus diz: — O povo de Samaria não sabe fazer nada com honestidade, e os seus palácios estão cheios de coisas roubadas com violência.
11 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, The adversary is there and surroundeth the land: and he shall bring down from thee thy strength, and thy palaces shall be plundered.
11 Por isso, os inimigos cercarão o seu país, destruirão as suas fortalezas e levarão embora tudo o que está nos palácios.
12 Thus hath said the Lord, As the shepherd snatcheth out of the mouth of the lion at most two legbones, or a tip of the ear: so shall be delivered the children of Israel that sit in Samaria on the corner of a bed, and on Damascus couches.
12 O Senhor Deus diz: — Quando um leão pega uma ovelha, às vezes o pastor somente consegue salvar duas pernas ou uma orelha. Assim também serão salvos somente alguns moradores de Samaria, que agora descansam em camas de luxo.
13 Hear ye, and give warning in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord Eternal, the God of hosts.
13 Escutem o que eu digo e acusem o meu povo, os descendentes de Jacó — diz Deus, o Senhor Todo-Poderoso.
14 For on the day when I visit the transgressions of Israel upon him, will I also inflict punishment on the altars of Bethel: and then shall be hewn off the horns of the altar, and they shall fall to the ground.
14 — Quando eu castigar o povo de Israel por causa dos seus pecados, destruirei os altares de Betel. As quatro pontas de todos os altares serão quebradas e cairão no chão.
15 And I will smite the winterhouse together with the summerhouse: and the houses of ivory shall disappear, and the great houses shall be no more, saith the Lord.
15 Destruirei as casas de inverno e as de verão; as casas luxuosas, as casas enfeitadas de marfim, todas elas serão destruídas. Sou eu, o Senhor , quem está falando.
