2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Mpok ɛpa ákwáy nɔ́kɔ́, ató bɔ̌-bɛtok abhi bɛ́ mándɔ́k mángátí bǒ abhɛn yi ánáká bɛ mpok akway. Kɛ yɛ̌ amɔt kɛ twɔ.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Apɛt abhɨŋɨ bɔ̌-bɛtok abhi báchák aghati bhɔ bɛ, ‘Dɔ́k ká ghati bo abhɛn nnáká bɛ́ ngwáy bhɔ bɛsɛnɛ́ mpɔŋ nɛ mǎnáŋ mana nɛnyíɛ́, yɛ̌ntɨkɨ ɛnyɨŋ ɛ́náŋ ɛ́chí téé. Dɔ́k ká ghati bhɔ mántwɔ́.’
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Kɛ ndǔ bo abhɛn yi ánáká mankɛm, yɛ̌ mmu amɔt abhɨ́kɨ́ fyɛ ntí. Mánkʉ nɔkɔ chi ɛbhap mɛnyɨŋ. Amɔt arɔk ɛbhɨ ɛyi, achák arɔk chí ɛkɛrɛ́siɛ ɛyi,
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 abhɛ́nɛ́fú bákɛ́mti bɔ̌-bɛtok abhɛn mfɔ wu átó, bádɛn mbɔ nnya baway.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Mfɔ wu abhɔ́ŋ bɛyǎ bɛběntɨ. Ató batɛmɛ́ nɛnu bhi bárɔ́k báwáy bǒbhɔ, básɔ́ŋ ɛtɔk ɛyap.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Abhɨŋɨ yɛ bɔ̌-bɛtok abhi arɛm bɛ, ‘Mpok ɛpa akway. Kɛ bǒ abhɛn nnáká bátɔŋ bɛ babhɨkɨ kway bǒ abhɛn bátwɔ̀ ndǔ ɛpǎ ɛya.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Dɔ́k yɛ́ ká ndǔ yɛ̌ntɨkɨ mbay, mǎnák yɛ̌ntɨkɨ mmu anɛ bǎghɔ́, bɛ́ ántwɔ́ ndǔ ɛpǎ nɛbhay.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Bɔ̌bɛtok bhɔ bárɔ́k bakʉ mbɔ ɛnyǔ yi ághátí bhɔ. Bábhɨ́ŋɨ yɛ̌ntɨkɨ mmu. Mmǔ mbʉ́mbʉ mǎmbɨŋɨ bhɨ́ŋɨ, mmǔ ndɨ́ndɨ́ mǎmbɨŋɨ bhɨŋɨ. Ɛ́kʉ́ ɛkɛt ɛpǎ nɛbhay ɛ́jwí nɛ bo.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 “Kɛ mpok mfɔ áchwé anywɔ́p bɛghɔ bǒ abhɛn yi ánáká, aghɔ́ bɛ́ mmu amɔt abhɨkɨ bhɔŋ nkú-nɛbhay amʉɛt.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Abhɛ́p mmu wu bɛ, ‘Nkwǎnɛ, ɔkʉ́ ná kɛ ɔ̌chwe fá, nkú-nɛbhay wɔ amʉɛt tí?’ Ɛcha mmu wu ɛnyɨŋ bɛrɛm.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Mfɔ achyɛ ɛyɔŋ bɛ mánkɛ́m yi mángwɔ́t amɔ nɛ bɛkak, mámɛsɛ nɛfí ndǔ ɛjuri. Arɛ́, bo bábhak ndǔ nɛdǐ kɛbhɔ nɛ nɛnyiɛ́ ámɛ́n.”
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Yesu ánáŋá nɔ́kɔ́ bɛtɛm nɛkay ɛnɛn, arɛm bɛ, “Mandɛm ǎnak bɛyǎ bho, kɛ ǎyap chí bǎrú.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Ɛ́bhɨ́kɨ́ tat, mbɔk bǒnkwɔ Fárisi bárɔ́k báté ɛyu, babho bɛyaŋ ɛnyǔ bákway bɛkʉ Yesu ánkwɛ́n anyu, bɛ bɔ mámbɔ́ŋ mbi bɛkɛm yi.
15 — ausente —
16 Báká ɛyɔŋ ɛ́mɔt, bátó mbɔk bakoŋo bhap nɛ mbɔk bo Israɛl abhɛn báté ansɛm Hɛ́rɔd ntá Yesu bɛ mámbɛ́p yi bɛ, “Ntɔŋ, sɛ́rɨ́ŋɨ́ bɛ́ wɔ ɔchí mmu tɛtɛp, nɛ bɛ́ ɔ̌tɔ̀ŋ bho mbi Mandɛm tɛtɛp. Sɛ́rɨ́ŋɨ́ bɛ́ ɔpú yɨŋɨ mmu ndǔ bɛsí ɔ́ncháy yi.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Ghatí yɛ bhɛsɛ, ɛbhé yɛsɛ ɛka bɛ sɛ́nchíɛ nkábhɛ́nti ntá Mfɔ Rom kɛ ɛ́bhɨ́kɨ́ ka?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Yesu arɨŋɨ nkaysi mbʉ́mbʉ yap. Arɛm bɛ, “Bě bho bɛtábhá, ndaká yí mǎmɔ̀ mɛ?”
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Aghati bhɔ bɛ, “Tɔ́ŋ ká mɛ nkáp kpokorok anɛ básɔ̀t bɛchyɛ ndǔ nkábhɛ́nti.” Bátwɔ́ yi nɛ ɛbhɔkɔ nkáp.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Yesu asɔt akɛ́m awɔ, abhɛ́p bhɔ́ bɛ, “Ntí ághá nɛ́ arɛ? Nɛ nnyɛ́n chi ɛnɛn ághá?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Bákɛ́mɛ yí bɛ, “Chí ntí Sísa, Mfɔ Rom. Nɛ nnyɛ́n, chi ɛni.” Yesu aghati yɛ bhɔ bɛ, “Chiɛ́ yɛ́ ka mfɔ Rom yɛ̌ntɨkɨ ɛnyɨŋ ɛnɛ ɛchi ɛyi, mǎnchyɛ Mandɛm yɛ̌ntɨkɨ ɛnyɨŋ ɛnɛ ɛchi ɛnɛ Mandɛm.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Bághókó nɔ́kɔ́ ɛnyɨŋ ɛnɛ Yesu arɛmɛ, bápɔ́p! Bárɔ́ yi, barɔk ɛbhak ɛyap.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Nkúbhɛ́ nywɔp ɛnɔ, mbɔk bǒnkwɔ Sádusi bárɔ́k ntá Yesu bɛbhɛp yi ɛnyɨŋ ndu bɛkʉ yi ánkwɛ́n anyu. Bǒnkwɔ Sádusi babhɨkɨ noko nyaka bɛ ɛwak ɛ́mɔt bawú bápɛtnsɛm ndǔ nɛpɛ́m.
23 — ausente —
24 Bábhɛ́p Yesu bɛ, “Ntɔŋ, Moses asɨŋ ndǔ ɛbhé ɛyɛsɛ bɛ, mbák mmu ángú ándɔ́ ngɔrɛ́ kɛ bɔ́ kɛbhɔŋ yɛ̌ mmɔ́, mɔ́mayi abhɔŋ bɛsɔt ngɔrɛ́ wu bɛ́ ámbé bɔ nɛ yi ndǔ nnyɛ́n manɔ anɛ ágú.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Bɔ̌ chi amɔt bati tándrámɔt báchí nyaka fá. Anɛ mbɨ abháy ngɔrɛ́, agú ɛnɛ́ yi abhɨkɨ bhɔŋ yɛ̌ mmɔ́. Anɛ ákòŋo yi, asɔt kɛ́nkwɛ́sɛ́ wu ndǔ nɛbhay.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Yí nkwɔ agú, kɛbhɔŋ mmɔ́ nɛ kɛ́nkwɛ́sɛ́ wu. Ɛ́fákari ɛnyumɔt nɛ anɛ ájwí bati arat, nɛ bɔ̌mayi bachak nkwɔ.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Ndǔ ngwɛnti, ngɔrɛ́ wu nkwɔ agú.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Ndu ɛchi nɔ, mpok Mandɛm ákʉ̀ bawú mámpɛ́tnsɛm ndǔ nɛpɛ́m, ngɔrɛ́ wu ǎbhák anɛ agha? Ndu bɔ́ mankɛm, bati tándrámɔt, yɛ̌ntɨkɨ mmu wap abhay nyaka yi.”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Yesu akɛmɛ bhɔ bɛ, “Bɛkwɛ́nɛ́ bɛ́chí nɛ bhe tontó! Nti achi bɛ bǎbhɨ́kɨ́ rɨŋɨ yɛ̌ chi mɛnyɨŋ ɛbhɛn bɛchi amɛm Ɛkáti Mandɛm nɛ yɛ̌ chi bɛtaŋ Mandɛm.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Mpok Mandɛm ákú bawú mámpɛ́tnsɛm ndǔ nɛpɛ́m, bo bábhak mbɔ bɔángɛl awu amfay. Bápú pɛrɛ bhay nɛbhay.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
35 Mmǔ wap amɔt anɛ áchí ɛsáyrí ntɔŋ ɛbhé Moses arɔk mɛmɔ Yesu. Abhɛ́p yi bɛ,
37 Yesu akɛmɛ yi bɛ, chí ɛbhé ɛnɛ ɛ́rɛ̀m bɛ, “‘Kɔŋ Mandɛm Acha ywɛ nɛ ntɨ ɛnɛ nɛnkɛm, nɛ ɛfóŋó yɛ ɛnkɛm, nɛ nkaysi yɛ nkɛm’.
Responderam: De Davi!
43 Yesu arɛm bɛ, “Ná ɛchi yɛ bɛ Ɛfóŋó Mandɛm ákʉ nyaka Mfɔ Debhít ambɨŋɨ yi bɛ ‘Acha?’ Mfɔ Debhít arɛm nyaka bɛ,
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 ‘Mandɛm Acha arɛm nyaka ntá Acha wa bɛ,
