1 Misericórdia, ó Deus; misericórdia, pois em ti a minha alma se refugia. Eu me refugiarei à sombra das tuas asas, até que passe o perigo.
2 I will cry unto God most high, unto God that performs [all things] for me.
2 Clamo ao Deus Altíssimo, a Deus, que para comigo cumpre o seu propósito.
3 He shall send from the heavens and save me [from] the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
3 Dos céus ele me envia a salvação, põe em fuga os que me perseguem de perto; Pausa Deus envia o seu amor e a sua fidelidade.
4 My soul [is] among lions, [and] I lie [even among] those that are set on fire, [even] the sons of men, whose teeth [are] spears and arrows and their tongue a sharp sword.
4 Estou em meio a leões, ávidos para devorar; seus dentes são lanças e flechas, suas línguas são espadas afiadas.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus! Sobre toda a terra esteja a tua glória!
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen [themselves]. Selah.
6 Preparam armadilhas para os meus pés; fiquei muito abatido. Abriram uma cova no meu caminho, mas foram eles que nela caíram. Pausa
7 My heart is ready, O God, my heart is willing; I will sing and give praise.
7 Meu coração está firme, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; cantarei ao som de instrumentos!
8 Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp; I [myself] will arise early.
8 Acorde, minha alma! Acordem, harpa e lira! Vou despertar a alvorada!
9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing unto thee among the nations.
9 Eu te louvarei, ó Senhor, entre as nações; cantarei teus louvores entre os povos.
10 For thy mercy [is] great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
10 Pois o teu amor é tão grande que alcança os céus; a tua fidelidade vai até às nuvens.
11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.:
11 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus! Sobre toda a terra esteja a tua glória!
