1 O Senhor é a minha luz e a minha salvação; de quem terei medo? O da minha vida; a quem temerei?
2 When the wicked, [even] my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
2 Quando malfeitores me sobrevêm para me destruir, meus opressores e inimigos, eles é que tropeçam e caem.
3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident.
3 Ainda que um exército se acampe contra mim, não se atemorizará o meu coração; e, se estourar contra mim a guerra, ainda assim terei confiança.
4 One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the LORD and to enquire in his temple.
4 Uma coisa peço ao Senhor e a buscarei: que eu possa morar na Casa do todos os dias da minha vida, para contemplar a beleza do e meditar no seu templo.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his tabernacle; in the secret of his tent shall he hide me; he shall set me high upon a rock.
5 Pois, no dia da adversidade, ele me ocultará no seu abrigo; no interior do seu tabernáculo, me acolherá; ele me porá no alto de uma rocha.
6 And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tabernacle; I will sing, [yea], I will sing praises unto the LORD.
6 Agora, será exaltada a minha cabeça acima dos inimigos que me cercam. No seu tabernáculo, oferecerei sacrifícios de júbilo; cantarei e salmodiarei ao
7 Hear, O LORD, [when] I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me and answer me.
7 Ouve, Senhor , a minha voz; eu clamo; tem compaixão de mim e responde-me.
8 My heart has spoken [unto me] from thee, Seek my face. Thy face, O LORD, will I seek.
8 Ao meu coração me ocorre: “Busquem a minha presença.” Buscarei, pois, a tua presença.
9 Hide not thy face [far] from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; do not leave me or forsake me, O God of my saving health.
9 Não me escondas, Senhor , a tua face; não rejeites com ira o teu servo. Tu és o meu auxílio; não me deixes, nem me abandones, ó Deus da minha salvação.
10 For my father and my mother have left me, and the LORD has taken me up.
10 Porque, se o meu pai e a minha mãe me abandonarem, o
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a right path because of my enemies.
11 Ensina-me, Senhor , o teu caminho e guia-me por vereda plana, por causa dos meus inimigos.
12 Deliver me not over unto the will of my enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me and such as breathe out cruelty.
12 Não me entregues à vontade dos meus adversários; pois contra mim se levantam falsas testemunhas e os que só respiram crueldade.
13 [I had fainted] unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
13 Eu creio que verei a bondade do na terra dos viventes.
14 Wait for the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, for the LORD.:
14 Espere no Senhor . Anime-se, e fortifique-se o seu coração; espere, pois, no
