1 Ó rei, que na hora da angústia o à sua oração! Que o Deus de Jacó o proteja!
2 [and] send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion
2 Que, do seu Templo, Deus lhe envie socorro, e que, do
3 [and] remember all thy offerings and reduce thy burnt sacrifice to [the ashes] of [burnt] fat, Selah.
3 Que Deus lembre de todas as suas ofertas e aceite com prazer os seus
4 Grant thee according to thine heart and fulfil all thy counsel.
4 Que Deus satisfaça os seus desejos, ó rei, e permita que todos os seus planos deem certo!
5 We will rejoice in thy saving health, and in the name of our God we will be standard-bearers: [let] the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
5 Então daremos gritos de alegria pelo seu triunfo e, em louvor ao nosso Deus, levantaremos as bandeiras da vitória. Que o todos os seus pedidos, ó rei!
6 Now know I that the LORD has kept his anointed; he will hear him from the heavens of his holiness with the saving valour of his right hand.
6 Agora sei que o Senhor dá a vitória ao rei que ele escolheu. Do seu santo céu, ele lhe responde e, com o seu grande poder, ele o torna vitorioso.
7 Some [trust] in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
7 Alguns confiam nos seus carros de guerra, e outros, nos seus cavalos, mas nós confiamos no poder do
8 They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright.
8 Eles tropeçarão e cairão, mas nós nos levantaremos e ficaremos firmes.
9 The LORD saves the king; let him hear us on the day when we call.:
9 Ó Senhor Deus, dá a vitória ao rei! Responde-nos quando pedirmos a tua ajuda.
