1 The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
1 Esta é a mensagem que o Senhor Deus deu a Miqueias, da cidade de Moresete. Miqueias teve estas visões a respeito das cidades de Samaria e de Jerusalém durante os reinados de Jotão, Acaz e Ezequias na terra de Judá.
2 Hear, all ye peoples; hearken, O earth, and all that is therein: and the Lord GOD, the Lord from his holy temple shall be [a] witness against you.
2 Escutem, todos os povos; prestem atenção, todos os moradores da terra! O do seu templo no céu, ele falará.
3 For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth.
3 Ele descerá do lugar onde mora e caminhará sobre as montanhas.
4 And the mountains shall melt under him, and the valleys shall be split, as wax before the fire, [and] as the waters [that] run down a steep place.
4 Debaixo dos seus pés, as montanhas se desfazem; são como cera que se derrete no fogo. Os vales se abrem, como se uma enchente os cortasse ao meio.
5 All this for the rebellion of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What [is] the rebellion of Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what [are] the high places of Judah? [are they] not Jerusalem?
5 Tudo isso acontecerá porque o povo de Israel pecou e se revoltou contra Deus. Quem é culpado da revolta de Israel? É o povo de Samaria! E quem é responsável por haver santuários pagãos em Judá? É o povo de Jerusalém!
6 Therefore I will make Samaria into heaps in the field, into a land of vineyards: and I will scatter her stones throughout the valley, and I will uncover her foundations.
6 Por isso, o Senhor diz: — Eu farei com que a cidade de Samaria vire um montão de ruínas em campo aberto; farei com que seja um lugar para plantação de uvas. Farei com que as pedras da cidade rolem monte abaixo e que os alicerces das casas de Samaria fiquem aparecendo.
7 And all her graven images shall be broken to pieces, and all her gifts shall be burned in the fire, and I will destroy all her idols, for she gathered [it] of the gifts of harlots, and they shall return unto gifts of harlots.
7 Todas as imagens serão destruídas, toda a riqueza conseguida à custa das prostitutas dos seus templos pagãos será queimada, e todos os ídolos virarão um monte de ruínas. Tudo o que foi comprado com o dinheiro das prostitutas será usado para pagar as prostitutas em outros templos pagãos.
8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons and mourning as the owls.
8 Por isso, eu choro e grito de dor e em sinal de tristeza ando descalço e nu, uivando como uma raposa e soltando gritos de dor como uma avestruz.
9 For her wound [is] painful, for it is come unto Judah; it is come unto the gate of my people, [even] to Jerusalem.
9 Pois os ferimentos do povo de Samaria não podem ser curados; a destruição já atingiu Judá e está perto de Jerusalém, onde vive o meu povo.
10 Do not declare [it] in Gath, weep little; roll thyself in the dust for the house of Aphrah.
10 Não contem em Gate a nossa derrota, nem comecem a chorar. Povo de Bete-Leafra , role no chão em sinal de desespero!
11 Pass away naked with shame, thou inhabitant of Saphir: the inhabitant of Zaanan did not come forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you for his lateness.
11 Moradores de Safir, vão nus e envergonhados para o cativeiro ! Os que vivem em Zaanã não devem sair da cidade; quando ouvirem o povo de Bete-Esel chorar, vocês saberão que eles não os podem ajudar.
12 For the inhabitant of Maroth was pained because of good; therefore evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.
12 Os que moram em Marote esperam ansiosos por socorro, pois o Senhor fez a desgraça chegar bem perto de Jerusalém.
13 O thou inhabitant of Lachish, hitch the chariot to dromedaries: for thou [wert] the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion, for in thee the rebellions of Israel were invented.
13 Moradores de Laquis, atrelem os cavalos aos carros! Vocês fizeram o mesmo que os israelitas, isto é, levaram o povo de Jerusalém ao pecado.
14 Therefore shalt thou give gifts to Moreshethgath; the houses of Achzib [shall be] a lie to the kings of Israel.
14 Portanto, povo de Judá, diga adeus à cidade de Moresete-Gate. O povo da cidade de Aczibe será uma armadilha para os reis de Israel.
15 Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah; the glory of Israel shall come unto Adullam.
15 O Senhor Deus diz: — Vou entregar a cidade de Maressa nas mãos do inimigo, e as autoridades de Israel irão se esconder na caverna que fica perto da cidade de Adulã.
16 Make thee bald, and shave thee for the sons of thy delight; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle, for they are gone into captivity from thee.:
16 Povo de Judá, corte os cabelos e rape a cabeça em sinal de tristeza, pois os seus filhos queridos serão levados como prisioneiros para longe da sua pátria.
