1 The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in; from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
1 Peso de Tiro. Uivai, navios de Társis, porque está assolada, a ponto de não haver nela casa nenhuma, e de ninguém mais entrar nela; desde a terra de Quitim lhes foi isto revelado.
2 Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; [thou] mart of Zidon, that [by] passing over the sea thou wert replenished.
2 Calai-vos, moradores da ilha, vós a quem encheram os mercadores de Sidom, navegando pelo mar.
3 Her provision [was] from the plantings [that grow] with the many waters of the Nile, of the harvest of the river. She was also the mart of the Gentiles.
3 E a sua provisão era a semente de Sior, que vinha com as muitas águas, a ceifa do Nilo, e ela era a feira das nações.
4 Be thou ashamed, O Zidon, for the sea has spoken, [even] the strength of the sea, saying, I have never travailed nor brought forth children, neither did I nourish up young men [nor] bring up virgins.
4 Envergonha-te, ó Sidom, porque o mar, a fortaleza do mar, fala, dizendo: Eu não tive dores de parto, nem dei à luz, nem ainda criei jovens, nem eduquei virgens.
5 When the report comes unto Egypt, they shall be sorely pained at the news from Tyre.
5 Como quando se ouviram as novas do Egito, assim haverá dores quando se ouvirem as de Tiro.
6 Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
6 Passai a Társis; clamai, moradores da ilha.
7 [Is] this your joyous [city], whose antiquity [is] of ancient days? Her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
7 É esta, porventura, a vossa cidade exultante, cuja origem é dos dias antigos, cujos pés a levaram para longe a peregrinar?
8 Who has decreed this against Tyre, the crowning [city], whose merchants were princes, whose traders [were] the honourable of the earth?
8 Quem formou este desígnio contra Tiro, distribuidora de coroas, cujos mercadores são príncipes e cujos negociantes são os mais nobres da terra?
9 The LORD of the hosts has purposed it to stain the pride of all glory [and] to bring down all [those] who are exalted in the earth.
9 O Senhor dos Exércitos formou este desígnio para denegrir a soberba de toda a glória, e envilecer os mais nobres da terra.
10 Pass by as a river from thy land, O daughter of Tarshish; for [thou shalt have] no more strength.
10 Passa como o Nilo pela tua terra, ó filha de Társis; já não há quem te restrinja.
11 He stretched out his hand over the sea; he shook the kingdoms; the LORD commanded upon Canaan that her strength should be weakened.
11 Ele estendeu a sua mão sobre o mar, e turbou os reinos; o Senhor deu ordens contra Canaã, para que se destruíssem as suas fortalezas.
12 And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon; arise, pass over to Chittim, and even there thou shalt have no rest.
12 E disse: Nunca mais exultarás de alegria, ó oprimida virgem, filha de Sidom; levanta-te, passa a Quitim, e ainda ali não terás descanso.
13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans. This people was not [until] the Assyrian founded it for those that dwell in the wilderness; they set up its towers; they raised up its palaces, [and] he brought it to ruin.
13 Vede a terra dos caldeus, ainda este povo não era povo; a Assíria a fundou para os que moravam no deserto; levantaram as suas fortalezas, e edificaram os seus palácios; porém converteu-a em ruína.
14 Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, for your strength is laid waste.
14 Uivai, navios de Társis, porque está destruída a vossa fortaleza.
15 And it shall come to pass in that day that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years according to the days of one king; after the end of seventy years Tyre shall sing as a harlot.
15 Naquele dia Tiro será posta em esquecimento por setenta anos, conforme os dias de um rei; porém no fim de setenta anos Tiro cantará como uma prostituta.
16 Take a harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing the song again that thou may be remembered.
16 Toma a harpa, rodeia a cidade, ó prostituta entregue ao esquecimento; faça doces melodias, canta muitas canções, para que haja memória de ti.
17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire and shall commit fornication again with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
17 Porque será no fim de setenta anos que o Senhor visitará a Tiro, e ela tornará à sua ganância de prostituta, e prostituir-se-á com todos os reinos que há sobre a face da terra.
18 But her profit and her hire shall be consecrated unto the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up for her profit shall be for those that dwell before the LORD, to eat until they are filled and to dress honourably.:
18 E o seu comércio e a sua ganância de prostituta serão consagrados ao Senhor; não se entesourará, nem se fechará; mas o seu comércio será para os que habitam perante o Senhor, para que comam até se saciarem, e tenham vestimenta durável.
