1 And Solomon, the son of David, was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God [was] with him and magnified him exceedingly.
1 E Salomão, o filho de Davi, era fortalecido no seu reino, e o SENHOR seu Deus era com ele, e o magnificava sobejamente.
2 Then Solomon spoke unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds and to the judges and to every prince in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.
2 Então, Salomão falou a todo Israel, aos capitães de milhares e de centúrias, e aos juízes, e a cada governador em todo o Israel, aos chefes dos pais.
3 So Solomon and all the congregation with him went to the high place that [was] at Gibeon, for there was the tabernacle of the testimony of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
3 Assim, Salomão, e com ele toda a congregação, foram até o lugar alto que estava em Gibeão; porque ali estava o tabernáculo da congregação de Deus, o qual Moisés, o servo do SENHOR, havia feito no deserto.
4 But David had brought the ark of God up from Kirjathjearim to [the place which] David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
4 Mas Davi tinha feito subir a arca de Deus de Quiriate-Jearim até o local que Davi havia preparado para ela, porque ele havia armado uma tenda em Jerusalém.
5 Moreover, the brasen altar that Bezaleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made [was] there before the tabernacle of the LORD; and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.
5 Além disso, o altar de bronze que Bezaleel, o filho de Uri, o filho de Hur, havia feito, ele pôs diante do tabernáculo do SENHOR; e Salomão e a congregação o procuravam.
6 And Solomon went up there to the brasen altar before the LORD, which [was] at the tabernacle of the testimony, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
6 E Salomão subiu para o altar de bronze diante do SENHOR, o qual estava junto ao tabernáculo da congregação, e ofereceu mil ofertas queimadas sobre ele.
7 And that night God appeared unto Solomon and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
7 Naquela noite Deus apareceu a Salomão, e disse a ele: Pede o que queres, e eu te darei.
8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great mercy unto David, my father, and hast placed me as king in his stead.
8 E Salomão disse a Deus: Tu usastes com grande misericórdia para com Davi, meu pai, e tens me feito reinar em seu lugar.
9 Now, O LORD God, let thy word unto David, my father, be established, for thou hast placed me as king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
9 Agora, ó SENHOR Deus, que a tua promessa a Davi, meu pai, seja estabelecida; porque me tens feito rei sobre um povo cuja multidão é como o pó da terra.
10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can judge this thy people, [that is so] great?
10 Dá-me agora sabedoria e conhecimento para que eu possa sair e entrar diante desse povo; porquanto, quem pode julgar este teu povo, que é tão grande?
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth or glory, nor the life of thy enemies, neither yet hast asked long life, but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou may judge my people, over whom I have placed thee as king,
11 E Deus disse a Salomão: Porque isto estava no teu coração, e não pediste bens, riqueza ou honra, nem a vida dos teus inimigos, tampouco ainda pediste vida longa; mas pediste sabedoria e conhecimento para ti mesmo, para que tu possas julgar o meu povo, sobre o qual te tenho feito rei;
12 wisdom and knowledge [is] granted unto thee; and I will also give thee riches and wealth and glory such as none of the kings have had that [have been] before thee, neither shall any after thee have the like.
12 sabedoria e conhecimento te são concedidos; e eu te darei bens, riqueza, e honra, tais como não teve nenhum dos reis antes de ti, nem haverá depois de ti quem terá coisas semelhantes.
13 Then Solomon returned to Jerusalem from the high place that [was] at Gibeon, from before the tabernacle of the testimony, and reigned over Israel.
13 Depois, Salomão veio da sua viagem, ao lugar alto que estava em Gibeão, a Jerusalém, de diante do tabernáculo da congregação, e reinou sobre Israel.
14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen, and he had a thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.
14 E Salomão reuniu carruagens e cavaleiros; e ele tinha mil e quatrocentas carruagens, e doze mil cavaleiros, os quais ele posicionou nas cidades das carruagens, e com o rei em Jerusalém.
15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as [plenteous] as stones, and he made cedar trees as the sycamore trees that [are] in the vale for abundance.
15 O rei tornou o ouro e a prata tão comuns em Jerusalém como as pedras, e os cedros como os sicômoros que nascem nas campinas em grande quantidade.
16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn; the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.
16 E Salomão tinha cavalos e fio de linho trazidos do Egito, e os mercadores do rei recebiam o fio de linho mediante certo preço.
17 And they went up and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred [shekels] of silver and a horse for one hundred and fifty; and so they brought out [horses] for all the kings of the Hittites and for the kings of Syria, by their hands.:
17 E eles faziam subir, e traziam do Egito uma carruagem por seiscentos shekels de prata, e um cavalo por cento e cinquenta; e assim por meio deles traziam de lá cavalos para todos os reis dos heteus, e para os reis da Síria.
