1 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; set me on high from them that rise up against me.
1 Livra-me dos meus inimigos, ó Deus; põe-me fora do alcance dos meus agressores.
2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from the men of blood.
2 Livra-me dos que praticam o mal e salva-me dos assassinos.
3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; the impudent gather themselves together against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
3 Vê como ficam à minha espreita! Homens cruéis conspiram contra mim, sem que eu tenha cometido qualquer delito ou pecado, ó Senhor.
4 Without my fault, they run and prepare themselves; awake Thou to help me, and behold.
4 Mesmo que de nada eu tenha culpa, eles se preparam às pressas para atacar-me. Levanta-te para ajudar-me; olha para a situação em que me encontro!
5 Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, arouse Thyself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to any iniquitous traitors. Selah
5 Ó Senhor, Deus dos Exércitos, ó Deus de Israel! Desperta para castigar todas as nações; não tenhas misericórdia dos traidores perversos. Pausa
6 They return at evening, they howl like a dog, and go round about the city.
6 Eles voltam ao cair da tarde, rosnando como cães e rondando a cidade.
7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips: 'For who doth hear?'
7 Vê que ameaças saem de suas bocas; seus lábios são como espadas, e dizem: "Quem nos ouvirá? "
8 But Thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; Thou shalt have all the nations in derision.
8 Mas tu, Senhor, vais rir deles; caçoarás de todas aquelas nações.
9 Because of his strength, I will wait for Thee; for God is my high tower.
9 Ó tu, minha força, por ti vou aguardar; tu, ó Deus, és o meu alto refúgio.
10 The God of my mercy will come to meet me; God will let me gaze upon mine adversaries.
10 O meu Deus fiel virá ao meu encontro e permitirá que eu triunfe sobre os meus inimigos.
11 Slay them not, lest my people forget, make them wander to and fro by Thy power, and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
11 Mas não os mates, ó Senhor, nosso escudo, se não, o meu povo o esquecerá. Em teu poder faze-os vaguearem, e abate-os.
12 For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride, and for cursing and lying which they speak.
12 Pelos pecados de suas bocas, pelas palavras de seus lábios, sejam apanhados em seu orgulho. Pelas maldições e mentiras que pronunciam,
13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they be no more; and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah
13 consome-os em tua ira, consome-os até que não mais existam. Então se saberá até os confins da terra que Deus governa Jacó. Pausa
14 And they return at evening, they howl like a dog, and go round about the city;
14 Eles voltam ao cair da tarde, rosnando como cães, e rondando a cidade.
15 They wander up and down to devour, and tarry all night if they have not their fill.
15 À procura de comida perambulam e, se não ficam satisfeitos, uivam.
16 But as for me, I will sing of Thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning; for Thou hast been my high tower, and a refuge in the day of my distress.
16 Mas eu cantarei louvores à tua força, de manhã louvarei a tua fidelidade; pois tu és o meu alto refúgio, abrigo seguro nos tempos difíceis.
17 O my strength, unto Thee will I sing praises; for God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.
17 Ó minha força, canto louvores a ti; tu és, ó Deus, o meu alto refúgio, o Deus que me ama.
