1 Be gracious unto me, O God, be gracious unto me, for in Thee hath my soul taken refuge; yea, in the shadow of Thy wings will I take refuge, until calamities be overpast.
1 Tem misericórdia de mim, ó Deus, tem misericórdia de mim, porque a minha alma confia em ti; e à sombra das tuas asas me abrigo, até que passem as calamidades.
2 I will cry unto God Most high; unto God that accomplisheth it for me.
2 Clamarei ao Deus altíssimo, ao Deus que por mim tudo executa.
3 He will send from heaven, and save me, when he that would swallow me up taunteth; Selah ; God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
3 Ele enviará desde os céus, e me salvará do desprezo daquele que procurava devorar-me. (Selá.) Deus enviará a sua misericórdia e a sua verdade.
4 My soul is among lions, I do lie down among them that are aflame; even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
4 A minha alma está entre leões, e eu estou entre aqueles que estão abrasados, filhos dos homens, cujos dentes são lanças e flechas, e a sua língua espada afiada.
5 Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Thy glory be above all the earth.
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; seja a tua glória sobre toda a terra.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps, my soul is bowed down; they have digged a pit before me, they are fallen into the midst thereof themselves. Selah
6 Armaram uma rede aos meus passos; a minha alma está abatida. Cavaram uma cova diante de mim, porém eles mesmos caíram no meio dela. (Selá.)
7 My heart is stedfast, O God, my heart is stedfast; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises.
7 Preparado está o meu coração, ó Deus, preparado está o meu coração; cantarei, e darei louvores.
8 Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp; I will awake the dawn.
8 Desperta, glória minha; despertai, saltério e harpa; eu mesmo despertarei ao romper da alva.
9 I will give thanks unto Thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations.
9 Louvar-te-ei, Senhor, entre os povos; eu te cantarei entre as nações.
10 For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and Thy truth unto the skies.
10 Pois a tua misericórdia é grande até aos céus, e a tua verdade até às nuvens.
11 Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Thy glory be above all the earth.
11 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, sobre os céus; e seja a tua glória sobre toda a terra.
