¹ Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, in the city of our God, His holy mountain,

¹ Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de louvor na cidade do nosso Deus, no seu monte santo.

² Fair in situation, the joy of the whole earth; even mount Zion, the uttermost parts of the north, the city of the great King.

² Formoso de sítio e alegria de toda a terra é o monte Sião sobre os lados do Norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ God in her palaces hath made Himself known for a stronghold.

³ Deus é conhecido nos seus palácios por um alto refúgio.

⁴ For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they came onward together.

⁴ Porque eis que os reis se ajuntaram; eles passaram juntos.

⁵ They saw, straightway they were amazed; they were affrighted, they hasted away.

⁶ Trembling took hold of them there, pangs, as of a woman in travail.

⁸ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God--God establish it for ever. Selah

⁸ Como o ouvimos, assim o vimos na cidade do Senhor dos Exércitos, na cidade do nosso Deus. Deus a confirmará para sempre. (Selá)

⁹ We have thought on Thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Thy temple.

⁹ Lembramo-nos, ó Deus, da tua benignidade no meio do teu templo.

¹⁰ As is Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth; Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

¹⁰ Segundo é o teu nome, ó Deus, assim é o teu louvor, até aos confins da terra; a tua mão direita está cheia de justiça.

¹¹ Let mount Zion be glad, let the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of Thy judgments.

¹¹ Alegre-se o monte de Sião; alegrem-se as filhas de Judá por causa dos teus juízos.

¹² Walk about Zion, and go round about her; count the towers thereof.

¹² Rodeai Sião; cercai-a; contai as suas torres;

¹³ Mark ye well her ramparts, traverse her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

¹³ notai bem os seus antemuros; observai os seus palácios, para que tudo narreis à geração seguinte.

¹⁴ For such is God, our God, for ever and ever; He will guide us eternally.

¹⁴ Porque este Deus é o nosso Deus para sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
