¹ Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, in the city of our God, His holy mountain,

¹ Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de ser louvado, na cidade do nosso Deus.

² Fair in situation, the joy of the whole earth; even mount Zion, the uttermost parts of the north, the city of the great King.

² Seu santo monte, belo e sobranceiro, é a alegria de toda a terra; o monte Sião, para os lados do Norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ God in her palaces hath made Himself known for a stronghold.

³ Nos palácios dela, Deus se faz conhecer como alto refúgio.

⁴ For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they came onward together.

⁴ Por isso, eis que os reis se coligaram e juntos sumiram-se;

⁵ They saw, straightway they were amazed; they were affrighted, they hasted away.

⁵ bastou-lhes vê-lo, e se espantaram, tomaram-se de assombro e fugiram apressados.

⁶ Trembling took hold of them there, pangs, as of a woman in travail.

⁶ O terror ali os venceu, e sentiram dores como de parturiente.

⁷ With the east wind Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish.

⁷ Com vento oriental destruíste as naus de Társis.

⁸ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God--God establish it for ever. Selah

⁹ We have thought on Thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Thy temple.

¹⁰ As is Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth; Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

¹⁰ Como o teu nome, ó Deus, assim o teu louvor se estende até aos confins da terra; a tua destra está cheia de justiça.

¹¹ Let mount Zion be glad, let the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of Thy judgments.

¹¹ Alegre-se o monte Sião, exultem as filhas de Judá, por causa dos teus juízos.

¹² Walk about Zion, and go round about her; count the towers thereof.

¹² Percorrei a Sião, rodeai-a toda, contai-lhe as torres;

¹³ Mark ye well her ramparts, traverse her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

¹³ notai bem os seus baluartes, observai os seus palácios, para narrardes às gerações vindouras

¹⁴ For such is God, our God, for ever and ever; He will guide us eternally.

¹⁴ que este é Deus, o nosso Deus para todo o sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
