¹ Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;

¹ Os chefes de família dos levitas se aproximaram do sacerdote Eleazar, de Josué, filho de Num, e dos chefes das outras famílias das tribos dos israelitas

² and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'

² em Siló, na terra de Canaã, e lhes disseram: "O Senhor ordenou por meio de Moisés que vocês nos dessem cidades onde possamos habitar, e pastagens para os nossos animais".

³ And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.

³ Por isso, de acordo com a ordem do Senhor, os israelitas deram da sua própria herança as seguintes cidades com suas pastagens aos levitas:

⁴ And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

⁴ A sorte saiu primeiro para os coatitas, clã por clã. Os levitas, que eram descendentes do sacerdote Arão, receberam treze cidades das tribos de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim.

⁵ And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

⁵ Os outros descendentes de Coate receberam dez cidades dos clãs das tribos de Efraim e de Dã, e da metade da tribo de Manassés.

⁶ And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

⁶ Os descendentes de Gérson receberam treze cidades dos clãs das tribos de Issacar, de Aser e de Naftali, e da metade da tribo de Manassés estabelecida em Basã.

⁷ The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

⁷ Os descendentes de Merari, clã por clã, receberam doze cidades das tribos de Rúben, de Gade e de Zebulom.

⁸ And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

⁸ Dessa maneira os israelitas deram aos levitas essas cidades com suas pastagens, como o Senhor tinha ordenado por meio de Moisés.

⁹ And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.

⁹ Das tribos de Judá e de Simeão, os israelitas deram as seguintes cidades, indicadas nominalmente.

¹⁰ And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.

¹⁰ Foram dadas aos descendentes de Arão que pertenciam aos clãs coatitas dos levitas, pois para eles saiu a primeira sorte:

¹¹ And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak --the same is Hebron--in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.

¹¹ Quiriate-Arba, que é Hebrom, com as suas pastagens ao redor, nos montes de Judá. ( Arba era antepassado de Enaque. )

¹² But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

¹² Mas os campos e os povoados em torno da cidade foram dados a Calebe, filho de Jefoné, como sua propriedade.

¹³ And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;

¹³ Assim, aos descendentes do sacerdote Arão deram Hebrom, cidade de refúgio para os acusados de homicídio, Libna,

¹⁴ and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;

¹⁴ Jatir, Estemoa,

¹⁵ and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;

¹⁵ Holom, Debir,

¹⁶ and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.

¹⁶ Aim, Jutá e Bete-Semes, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram nove cidades dadas por essas duas tribos.

¹⁷ And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;

¹⁷ Da tribo de Benjamim deram-lhes Gibeom, Geba,

¹⁸ Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.

¹⁸ Anatote e Almom, cada qual com os seus arredores. Eram quatro cidades.

¹⁹ All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

¹⁹ Todas as cidades dadas aos sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão, foram treze; cada qual com os seus arredores.

²⁰ And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

²⁰ Os outros clãs coatitas dos levitas receberam cidades da tribo de Efraim.

²¹ And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;

²¹ Nos montes de Efraim receberam Siquém, cidade de refúgio para os acusados de homicídio, Gezer,

²² and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.

²² Quibzaim e Bete-Horom, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades.

²³ And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;

²³ Também da tribo de Dã receberam Elteque, Gibetom,

²⁴ Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.

²⁴ Aijalom e Gate-Rimom, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades.

²⁵ And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.

²⁵ Da meia tribo de Manassés receberam Taanaque e Gate-Rimom, cada qual com os seus arredores. Eram duas cidades.

²⁶ All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.

²⁶ Todas essas dez cidades e seus arredores foram dadas aos outros clãs coatitas.

²⁷ And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.

²⁷ Os clãs levitas gersonitas receberam da metade da tribo de Manassés: Golã, em Basã, cidade de refúgio para os acusados de homicídio, e Beesterá, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram duas cidades.

²⁸ And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;

²⁸ Receberam da tribo de Issacar: Quisiom, Daberate,

²⁹ Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.

²⁹ Jarmute e En-Ganim, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades.

³⁰ And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;

³⁰ Receberam da tribo de Aser: Misal, Abdom,

³¹ Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.

³¹ Helcate e Reobe, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades.

³² And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.

³² Receberam da tribo de Naftali: Quedes, na Galiléia, cidade de refúgio dos acusados de homicídio, Hamote-Dor e Cartã, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram três cidades.

³³ All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

³³ Todas as cidades dos clãs gersonitas foram treze.

³⁴ And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;

³⁴ Os clãs meraritas, o restante dos levitas, receberam as seguintes cidades: Da tribo de Zebulom: Jocneão, Cartá,

³⁵ Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.

³⁵ Dimna e Naalal, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades.

³⁶ And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;

³⁶ Da tribo de Rúben: Bezer, Jaza,

³⁷ Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.

³⁷ Quedemote e Mefaate, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades.

³⁸ And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;

³⁸ Da tribo de Gade: em Gileade, Ramote, cidade de refúgio dos acusados de homicídio, Maanaim,

³⁹ Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.

³⁹ Hesbom e Jazar, cada qual com os seus arredores. Foram quatro cidades ao todo.

⁴⁰ All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.

⁴⁰ Todas as cidades dadas aos clãs meraritas, que eram o restante dos levitas, foram doze.

⁴¹ All the cities of the Levites--forty and eight cities with the open land about them--shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,

⁴¹ No total, as cidades dos levitas nos territórios dos outros israelitas foram quarenta e oito cidades com os seus arredores.

⁴² even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.

⁴² Cada uma de todas essas cidades tinha pastagens ao seu redor.

⁴³ So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

⁴³ Assim o Senhor deu aos israelitas toda a terra que tinha prometido sob juramento aos seus antepassados, e eles tomaram posse dela e se estabeleceram ali.

⁴⁴ And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

⁴⁴ O Senhor lhes concedeu descanso de todos os lados, como tinha jurado aos seus antepassados. Nenhum dos seus inimigos pode resisti-los, pois o Senhor entregou a todos eles em suas mãos.

⁴⁵ There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

⁴⁵ De todas as boas promessas do Senhor à nação de Israel, nenhuma delas falhou; todas se cumpriram.
