¹ Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;

¹ Então os chefes das famílias dos levitas se aproximaram de Eleazar, o sacerdote, de Josué, filho de Num, e dos chefes das famílias das tribos dos filhos de Israel,

² and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'

² em Siló, na terra de Canaã, e lhes disseram: — O

³ And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.

³ E os filhos de Israel deram aos levitas, da sua herança, segundo o mandado do Senhor , algumas cidades e os seus arredores.

⁴ And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

⁴ A sorte saiu para as famílias dos coatitas. Assim, os levitas que eram descendentes do sacerdote Arão receberam, por sorteio, treze cidades das tribos de Judá, Simeão e Benjamim.

⁵ And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

⁵ Os outros filhos de Coate receberam, por sorteio, dez cidades das famílias da tribo de Efraim, da tribo de Dã e da meia tribo de Manassés.

⁶ And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

⁶ Os filhos de Gérson receberam, por sorteio, treze cidades das famílias da tribo de Issacar, da tribo de Aser, da tribo de Naftali e da meia tribo de Manassés, em Basã.

⁷ The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

⁷ Os filhos de Merari receberam, por sorteio, segundo as suas famílias, doze cidades das tribos de Rúben, Gade e Zebulom.

⁸ And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

⁸ Os filhos de Israel deram aos levitas estas cidades e os seus arredores, por sorteio, como o Senhor havia ordenado por meio de Moisés.

⁹ And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.

⁹ Das tribos dos filhos de Judá e dos filhos de Simeão, os filhos de Israel deram mais algumas cidades que, nominalmente, foram designadas,

¹⁰ And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.

¹⁰ para que fossem dos filhos de Arão, das famílias dos coatitas, dos filhos de Levi, porque a primeira sorte foi deles.

¹¹ And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak --the same is Hebron--in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.

¹¹ Assim, lhes deram Quiriate-Arba (Arba era pai de Anaque), que é Hebrom, na região montanhosa de Judá, e, em torno dela, os seus arredores.

¹² But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

¹² Porém o campo da cidade, com as suas aldeias, deram a Calebe, filho de Jefoné, como sua propriedade.

¹³ And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;

¹³ Assim, aos filhos de Arão, o sacerdote, deram Hebrom, cidade de refúgio do homicida, com os seus arredores, Libna com os seus arredores,

¹⁴ and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;

¹⁴ Jatir com os seus arredores, Estemoa com os seus arredores,

¹⁵ and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;

¹⁵ Holom com os seus arredores, Debir com os seus arredores,

¹⁶ and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.

¹⁶ Aim com os seus arredores, Jutá com os seus arredores e Bete-Semes com os seus arredores. Ao todo, nove cidades dessas duas tribos.

¹⁷ And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;

¹⁷ Da tribo de Benjamim, deram Gibeão com os seus arredores, Gaba com os seus arredores,

¹⁸ Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.

¹⁸ Anatote com os seus arredores e Almom com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

¹⁹ All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

¹⁹ O total das cidades dos sacerdotes, filhos de Arão, foi treze cidades com os seus arredores.

²⁰ And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

²⁰ As outras famílias dos levitas de Coate receberam as cidades da sua sorte da tribo de Efraim.

²¹ And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;

²¹ Deram-lhes Siquém, cidade de refúgio do homicida, com os seus arredores, na região montanhosa de Efraim, Gezer com os seus arredores,

²² and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.

²³ And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;

²³ Da tribo de Dã, deram Elteque com os seus arredores, Gibetom com os seus arredores,

²⁴ Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.

²⁴ Aijalom com os seus arredores e Gate-Rimom com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

²⁵ And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.

²⁵ Da meia tribo de Manassés, deram Taanaque com os seus arredores e Gate-Rimom com os seus arredores. Ao todo, duas cidades.

²⁶ All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.

²⁶ No total, dez cidades com os seus arredores, para as famílias dos demais filhos de Coate.

²⁷ And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.

²⁷ Aos filhos de Gérson, das famílias dos levitas, deram, em Basã, da tribo de Manassés, Golã, a cidade de refúgio para o homicida, com os seus arredores, e Beesterá com os seus arredores. Ao todo, duas cidades.

²⁸ And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;

²⁸ Da tribo de Issacar, deram Quisião com os seus arredores, Daberate com os seus arredores,

²⁹ Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.

²⁹ Jarmute com os seus arredores e En-Ganim com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

³⁰ And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;

³⁰ Da tribo de Aser, deram Misal com os seus arredores, Abdom com os seus arredores,

³¹ Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.

³¹ Helcate com os seus arredores e Reobe com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

³² And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.

³² Da tribo de Naftali, deram, na Galileia, Quedes, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, com os seus arredores, Hamote-Dor com os seus arredores e Cartã com os seus arredores. Ao todo, três cidades.

³³ All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

³³ Total das cidades dos gersonitas, segundo as suas famílias: treze cidades com os seus arredores.

³⁴ And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;

³⁴ Às famílias dos demais levitas dos filhos de Merari deram, da tribo de Zebulom, Jocneão com os seus arredores, Cartá com os seus arredores,

³⁵ Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.

³⁵ Dimna com os seus arredores e Naalal com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

³⁶ And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;

³⁶ Da tribo de Rúben, deram Bezer com os seus arredores, Jaza com os seus arredores,

³⁷ Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.

³⁷ Quedemote com os seus arredores e Mefaate com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

³⁸ And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;

³⁸ Da tribo de Gade, deram, em Gileade, Ramote, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, com os seus arredores, Maanaim com os seus arredores,

³⁹ Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.

³⁹ Hesbom com os seus arredores e Jazer com os seus arredores. Ao todo, quatro cidades.

⁴⁰ All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.

⁴⁰ Todas estas cidades tocaram por sorteio aos filhos de Merari, segundo as suas famílias, que ainda restavam das famílias dos levitas: doze cidades.

⁴¹ All the cities of the Levites--forty and eight cities with the open land about them--shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,

⁴¹ O total das cidades dos levitas, no meio da herança dos filhos de Israel, foram quarenta e oito cidades com os seus arredores.

⁴² even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.

⁴² Cada uma dessas cidades tinha pastagens ao seu redor. Era assim com todas elas.

⁴³ So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

⁴³ Desta maneira, o Senhor deu a Israel toda a terra que, sob juramento, havia prometido dar a seus pais; eles tomaram posse dela e habitaram nela.

⁴⁴ And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

⁴⁴ O Senhor lhes deu repouso ao redor, segundo tudo o que havia jurado a seus pais. Nenhum de todos os seus inimigos resistiu diante deles; a todos eles o Senhor entregou nas mãos dos filhos de Israel.

⁴⁵ There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

⁴⁵ Nenhuma promessa falhou de todas as boas palavras que o Senhor havia falado à casa de Israel; tudo se cumpriu.
