1 イエスは答えて，再びたとえで彼らに話してこう言った。
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 「天の王国は，自分の息子のために婚宴を催した一人の王のようだ。
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 自分の召使いたちを遣わして，その婚宴に招いておいた者たちを呼ばせたが，彼らは来ようとしなかった。
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 彼は再びほかの召使いたちを遣わして言った，『招いておいた者たちにこう告げなさい。「見よ，わたしは夕食を整えた。わたしの牛と肥えた家畜はほふられ，何もかも整った。婚宴に来なさい！」』
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 だが，彼らは意に介さず，ある者は自分の農園に，別の者は自分の商売に出かけて行った。
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 また，残りの者たちは王の召使いたちを捕まえ，ひどい扱いをし，殺してしまった。
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 それを聞いて王は腹を立て，自分の軍隊を送り，それらの人殺したちを滅ぼし，彼らの町を焼き払った。
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 「それから彼は自分の召使いたちに言った，『婚礼の用意はできているのだが，招いておいた者たちはふさわしくなかった。
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 だから，大通りの十字路に行って，あなた方が見つける者をみな婚宴に招きなさい』。
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 それらの召使いたちは大通りに出て行き，見つけた者をみな，悪人も善人も共に集めた。婚礼は客でいっぱいになった。
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 ところが，王が客を見ようとして入って来ると，そこに婚礼の衣服を着けていない者を見つけた。
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 そこで王は彼に言った，『友よ，どうして婚礼の衣服を着ないでここに入って来たのか』。彼は何も言えなかった。
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 すると王は召使いたちに言った，『彼の手足を縛って連れて行き，外の闇に投げ出せ。そこには嘆きと歯ぎしりとがあるだろう』。
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 招かれるものは多いが，選ばれる者は少ないのだ」 。
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 その時，ファリサイ人たちがやって来て，どのようにして彼の言葉じりを捕らえてわなにかけようかと相談した。

16 彼らは自分たちの弟子たちをヘロデ党の者たちと一緒に彼のもとに遣わしてこう言わせた。「先生，わたしたちはあなたが正直な方で，だれに対しても真実をもって神の道を教えられることを知っています。あなたはだれをもえこひいきすることがないからです。
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 それで，わたしたちに教えてください。カエサルに税金を払うことは許されているでしょうか，許されていないでしょうか」。
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 しかし彼は，彼らの邪悪さに気づいて，こう言った。「偽善者たち，なぜあなた方はわたしを試すのか。
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 税の貨幣をわたしに見せなさい」 。 彼らは彼のもとに一デナリオスを持って来た。
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 彼は彼らに言った，「これはだれの像と銘なのか」 。
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 彼らは彼に言った，「カエサルのです」。 すると彼は彼らに答えた，「それなら，カエサルのものはカエサルに，神のものは神に返しなさい」 。
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 これを聞いて彼らは驚嘆し，彼を残して去って行った。
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 その日，サドカイ人たちが彼のもとにやって来た。（復活などはないと言う者たちである。）彼に尋ねて

24 言った，「先生，モーセは，『もしある人が子供を残さずに死んだ場合，彼の弟がその妻をめとり，自分の兄のために子孫を起こさなければならない』と言いました。
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 さて，わたしたちのもとに七人の兄弟がいました。最初の者が妻をめとりましたが，死にました。そして子孫がいなかったので，その弟にその妻を残しました。
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 二番目も，三番目も，ついには七番目まで同じようになりました。
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 みんなの最後にその女も死にました。
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 それで，復活において，彼女は七人のうちだれの妻になるのですか。みんなが彼女を妻にしたのですから」。
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 しかしイエスは彼らに答えた，「あなた方は，聖書も神の力も知らずに，思い違いをしている。
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 復活において，彼らはめとったり嫁いだりせず，天にいる神のみ使いたちのようになるからだ。
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 だが，死んだ者たちの復活について，あなた方はモーセの書の『茂み』のくだりで，神があなた方に語られたことを読んだことがないのか。こう言われた。
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 『わたしはアブラハムの神，イサクの神，ヤコブの神だ』。神は死んだ者たちの神ではなく，生きている者たちの神なのだ」 。
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 群衆はこれを聞いて，彼の教えに驚いた。
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 しかしファリサイ人たちは，彼がサドカイ人たちを沈黙させたことを聞いて，共に集まった。
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 彼らのうちの一人の律法学者が，彼を試そうとして一つのことを尋ねた。
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 「先生，律法の中で最大のおきてはどれですか」。
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 イエスは彼に言った，「『あなたは，心を尽くし，魂を尽くし，思いを尽くして，あなたの神なる主を愛さなければならない』。
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 これが最大で第一のおきてだ。
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 第二もこれと同様であって，こうだ。『あなたは隣人を自分自身のように愛さなければならない』。
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 律法全体と預言者たちとは，この二つのおきてにかかっている」 。
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 さて，ファリサイ人たちが共に集まっているとき，イエスは彼らに一つのことを尋ねて
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 言った，「あなた方はキリストについてどう思うか。彼はだれの子か」 。 彼らは彼に言った，「ダビデの子だ」。
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 彼は彼らに言った，「どうしてダビデは霊によって彼を主と呼んでいるのか。こう言っている。
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 『主はわたしの主に言われた，「わたしの右に座っていなさい，わたしがあなたの敵たちをあなたの足台とするまで」』。
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 「ダビデが彼を主と呼んでいるのなら，どうして彼はダビデの子なのか」 。
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 だれも一言も彼に答えることはできなかった。そしてこの日以降，彼にこれ以上あえて何かを尋ねる者はいなかった。
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
