1 Later on, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way.
1 Depois dessas coisas, mostrou-se Jesus outra vez aos discípulos junto ao mar de Tiberíades; e mostrou-se do seguinte modo.
2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathaniel from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two of his other disciples were together.
2 Estavam juntos Simão Pedro, e Tomé, chamado Dídimo, e Natanael de Caná da Galileia, e os filhos de Zebedeu, e outros dois dos seus discípulos.
3 Simon Peter said to them, “I'm going fishing.”They told him, “We'll go with you, too.” So they went out and got into the boat but didn't catch a thing that night.
3 Disse-lhes Simão Pedro: Eu vou pescar. Disseram-lhe eles: Nós também vamos contigo. Eles saíram, e imediatamente entraram no barco, e naquela noite não pegaram nada.
4 Just as dawn was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore. The disciples didn't realize it was Jesus.
4 Mas, vindo a manhã, Jesus ficou na praia; mas os discípulos não sabiam que era Jesus.
5 Jesus said to them, “Children, you don't have any fish, do you?”They answered him, “No.”
5 Então, disse-lhes Jesus: Filhos, tendes algum alimento? Eles responderam-lhe: Não.
6 He told them,“Throw the net on the right hand side of the boat, and you'll catchsome.” So they threw it out and were unable to haul it in because it was so full of fish.
6 E ele lhes disse: Lançai a rede ao lado direito do barco, e achareis. Lançaram-na, portanto, e eles não eram capazes de puxá-la por causa da quantidade de peixes.
7 That disciple whom Jesus kept loving said to Peter, “It's the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put back on his clothes, for he was practically naked, and jumped into the sea.
7 Então, aquele discípulo a quem Jesus amava disse a Pedro: É o Senhor. Ora, quando Simão Pedro ouviu que era o Senhor, cingiu-se com sua capa de pescador, (porque ele estava despido), e lançou-se ao mar.
8 But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish. They were only about a hundred yards away from the shore.
8 E os outros discípulos vieram no pequeno barco (porque não estavam distantes da terra, senão cerca de duzentos côvados), arrastando a rede com os peixes.
9 When they arrived at the shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish lying on it, and some bread.
9 Logo que vieram para a terra, eles viram ali brasas, e um peixe posto em cima delas, e pão.
10 Jesus told them,“Bring me some of the fish you've just caught.”
10 Disse-lhes Jesus: Trazei dos peixes que agora apanhastes.
11 So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish—153 of them. And although there were so many of them, the net was not torn.
11 Simão Pedro subiu, e puxou a rede para a terra, cheia de cento e cinquenta e três grandes peixes; e apesar de serem tantos, não se rompeu a rede.
12 Then Jesus said to them,“Come, have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?”, for they knew it was the Lord.
12 Disse-lhes Jesus: Vinde e jantai. E nenhum dos discípulos ousava perguntar-lhe: Quem és tu? Sabendo que era o Senhor.
13 Jesus went and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
13 Chegou, pois, Jesus, e pegou o pão, e deu-lho, e, semelhantemente, o peixe.
14 This was now the third time that Jesus revealed himself to the disciples after he had been raised from the dead.
14 Foi esta a terceira vez que Jesus mostrou-se aos seus discípulos, depois de ter ressuscitado dos mortos.
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”Jesus told him,“Feed my lambs.”
15 Assim, tendo eles jantado, disse Jesus a Simão Pedro: Simão, filho de Jonas, tu me amas mais do que estes? E ele respondeu: Sim, Senhor; tu sabes que eu te amo. Ele disse-lhe: Apascenta os meus cordeiros.
16 Then he said to him a second time,“Simon, son of John, do you love me?”He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”Jesus told him,“Take care of my sheep.”
16 Ele disse novamente pela segunda vez: Simão, filho de Jonas, tu me amas? Ele disse-lhe: Sim, Senhor; tu sabes que eu te amo. Ele disse-lhe: Apascenta as minhas ovelhas.
17 He said to him a third time,“Simon, son of John, do you love me?”Peter was deeply hurt that he had said to him a third time,“Do you love me?”So he said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!”Jesus told him,“Feed my sheep.
17 Ele disse-lhe pela terceira vez: Simão, filho de Jonas, tu me amas? Pedro entristeceu-se por ele lhe ter dito na terceira vez: Tu me amas? E ele disse-lhe: Senhor, tu sabes todas as coisas, tu sabes que eu te amo. Jesus disse-lhe: Apascenta as minhas ovelhas.
18 “Truly, truly I tell you, when you were young, you would fasten your belt and go wherever you liked. But when you get old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will fasten your belt and take you where you don't want to go.”
18 Na verdade, na verdade eu te digo: Quando tu eras jovem, te cingias a ti mesmo, e andavas por onde querias; mas, quando envelheceres, estenderás as tuas mãos, e outro te cingirá, e te levará para onde tu não queiras.
19 Now he said this to show by what kind of death he would glorify God.After saying this, he told him,“Keep following me.”
19 E falou isso, significando com que morte havia ele de glorificar a Deus. E, tendo falado isso, disse-lhe: Segue-me.
20 Peter turned around and noticed the disciple whom Jesus kept loving following them. He was the one who had put his head on Jesus’ chest at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?”
20 Então Pedro, voltando-se, viu que o seguia aquele discípulo a quem Jesus amava, e que também se reclinara sobre o seu peito na ceia, e que dissera: Senhor, quem é que te há de trair?
21 When Peter saw him, he said, “Lord, what about him?”
21 Vendo Pedro a este, disse a Jesus: Senhor, e o que fará a este homem?
22 Jesus said to him,“If it is my will for him to remain until I come, how does that concern you? You must keep following me!”
22 Disse-lhe Jesus: Se eu quero que ele fique até que eu venha, o que é isso para ti? Segue-me tu.
23 So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to him that he wasn't going to die, but,“If it is my will for him to remain until I come, how does that concern you?”
23 Então, divulgou-se entre os irmãos este dito, que aquele discípulo não havia de morrer; Jesus, porém, não lhe disse que não morreria, mas: Se eu quero que ele fique até que eu venha, o que é isso para ti?
24 This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them down. We know that his testimony is true.
24 Este é o discípulo que testifica dessas coisas e escreveu estas coisas, e nós sabemos que o seu testemunho é verdadeiro.
25 Of course, Jesus also did many other things, and I suppose that if every one of them were written down the world couldn't contain the books that would be written.
25 E há ainda também muitas outras coisas que Jesus fez, as quais, se cada uma fosse escrita, eu suponho que nem ainda o mundo todo poderia conter os livros que seriam escritos. Amém.
