6 L'e dekwaru l'ẹkwo okfu Nchileke; sụ lẹ Nchileke kfuru okfu ẹhu Kuráyisutu; sụ:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ọ kwa l'ẹhu kẹ unubẹdua, wowaru onwunu ye Kuráyisutu l'ẹka bẹ mkpuma ono bụ iphe aakwabẹ ugvu. Obenu; l'ẹhu kẹ ndu ọphu ẹ-te kwedu woru onwẹphe ye Kuráyisutu l'ẹka; bẹ

8 L'ẹkwo okfu Nchileke b'e dekwaruphu; sụ:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.

20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.

22 Ọ kwa iya bụ iphe ọbu, e dehawaruru l'ẹkwo okfu Nchileke; sụ: “L'ẹ to nwekwa-a iphe dụ ẹji, o mejeru; t'ọ bụ l'ọ dzụjeru ẹjo-ire.”
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 E phuakwaru iya iphu; ọbu l'ẹ to phulatabukwaa. O jeru iphe-ẹhuka; ọbu l'ẹ to nwedu onye o chijeru ẹka l'iri-ise. Iphe o gbe mee bụ l'o woru onwiya ye Nchileke l'ẹka; mbụ Nchileke ono, bụ onye ọphu ikpe nk'iya bụ ikpe, dụ maa ono.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kuráyisutu l'onwiya bẹ vutaru iphe dụ ẹji, ayi meru l'ọ hakọta l'ẹhu iya teke ono, a kpọpyaberu iya l'oshi-osweru ono; k'ọphu ayi a-dụ l'ọ bụ ndu nwụhuru anwụhu l'ẹke ome iphe dụ ẹji nọ; tẹ ndzụ, ayi a-nọ bụ-chiaru iphe a-nọdu ekoshi l'ayi bụwa ndu Nchileke gụru lẹ ndu doberu ẹka ndoo l'ifu iya. Ọ bụ uswiru ẹchachi ono, e chiru iya ono bẹ Nchileke gude mee t'unu kọrohu.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 L'unu shikwa agha ririri l'ọ bụ atụru, phuru ụzo; ọbu lẹ nta-a bẹ unu latawaru azụ byakfuta onye ono, eche unu l'ọ bụ atụru, bụkwa iya phụ bụ onye eleta ndzụ unu ẹnya ono.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
