1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Yamxi, jelnalaelapi, mitan af mamnikaliajwa. ¡Xamalbej Dios pejjamechan xabich nejxasinkde nejnejchaxoelaxan kaes mamnikaliajwa Diosliajwa! Dios pejjamechan, me-ama naxaeyaxan wʉt, ja-aech xamalliajwa. Chiekal matabijam wʉt Dios pejjamechan, Dios kaes xanaboejaxaelam xamal bʉ'weliajwa.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 ¡Jachiyaxaelam xamal, chiekal matabijam xot Dios xabich pachaempon!
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 ¡Xamal nejxasinkde kaes chiekal matabijaliajwam wajpaklon Jesucristo pejwʉajan! Dios to'a japon tʉpaliajwa puexa jiwliajwa. Samata, Jesucristo, me-ama ia't, matxoela-echpot, xabich ommaenkpot, isliajwa Dios pejba, ja-aechon. Japon, me-ama ia't, mastaenspot, ja-aechbejpon asew jiwliajwa.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Dios pejjamechan, chajia lelspox, jʉm-aech wʉt, jʉm-aechox Dios jʉm-aechpox Jesucristoliajwa:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Xamal nejchaxoelam wʉt Jesúsliajwa, jʉm-am: “Jesús, me-ama ia't, xabich kaes ommaenkpot, ja-aechon” —am, nejchaxoelam wʉt. Asewlax, Jesús pejwʉajan naexasis-eli nejchaxoel: “Jesús, me-ama ia't, pachaema-elpot, ja-aechon” —aechpi, nejchaxoel wʉt. Jasox japi nejchaxoel Jesúsliajwa, pat xot Dios jʉmdutpox. Dios pejjamechan, chajia lelspox, jʉm-aech wʉt, jʉm-aechbejpox Jesúsliajwa:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Dios pejjamechan, chajia lelspox, jʉm-aech wʉt, jʉm-aechbejpox Jesúsliajwa:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Dios xamal makanot sacerdotesliajwam, japon tanbichliajwambej. Xamal amwʉtjel kofam babijaxan isfʉlampoxan, Dios pejjiwam xot. Samata, jiw naewʉajnam puexa Dios ispoxanliajwa, xabich pachaempoxan. Majt xamal matabija-emil wʉtfʉk Jesús pejwʉajan, nejnejchaxoelaxan, me-ama itkʉa'nik, babijaxan isfʉlam xot. Ja-am wʉt, Dios xamal tadʉt naexasisliajwam Jesús pejwʉajan. Amwʉtjellax chiekal duilafʉlam. Samata, nejnejchaxoelaxan pachaem xot, me-ama itliak wʉt, ja-aech, naexasisfʉlam xot Jesús pejwʉajan.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Xamal majt Dios pejjiwa-emil. Amwʉtjellax Dios pejjiwam. Dios majt xamal beltae-el. Amwʉtjel Dios xamal chiekal beltaen.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Takoew, xamal jʉm-an kaenanʉla chiekal nejchaxoelaliajwam: “Xan ampathatat laejaxaelen kaematkoiyanliajwa. Pelax xan asamatkoi dukaxaelen pomatkoicha Diosxotse” —chiliajwam, xamal nejchaxoelam wʉt. Samata, ¡nabej is babijaxan, xamal najut nejchaxoelampoxan! ¡Nejchaxoelde isliajwam pachaempoxan!
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Xamal duilam wʉt Dios naexasis-elpixot, nanʉamtam wʉtbej, japi sʉapich, ¡chiekal duilde! Japi jʉm-aech wʉt xamalliajwa: “Japi jiw, babejchow” —aech wʉti xamalliajwa, asamatkoi japi jiw pajut chiekal matabijaxael, xamal isampoxan xabich pachaem. Samata, jawʉt japi jiw jʉmchiyaxael Diosliajwa: “Dios, ¡xam xabich pachaemam!” —chiyaxaeli, Dios kastika wʉt jiw, babijaxan ispi.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Xamal Dios pejjiwam xot, ¡puexa paklochow, ampathatpijiw tato'alpi, naexasisfʉlde! ¡Naexasisfʉldebej rey, puexa jiw tato'alpon, japon kaes pejme paklon xot!

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Dios nejxasink xamal isliajwam pachaempoxan. Ja-am wʉt, jiw nejliakla wejilaxaes xamal tasalaliajwa.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Amwʉtjel xatis nakwewe'pa-el naexasisliajwas Moisés chajia lelpox. Pe nejchaxoelaxisal isliajwas babijaxan. Samata, ¡chiekal duilafʉlde! Me-ama asew jiw, Dios pejjiwpi, chiekal duilafʉl, ¡xamalbej ja-amsfʉlde!
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 ¡Puexa jiw chiekal sitaembej! ¡Nejxasinkdebej asew jiw, naexasiti Jesús pejwʉajan! ¡Chiekal sitaembej Dios! ¡Sitaembej rey, japon puexa jiw tato'al!
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Xamal esclavos, ¡chiekal sitaem naexasisliajwam nejpaklochow! ¡Nejpaklochow tato'alpoxan puexa isde chiekal! ¡Ja-amsfʉlde pomatkoicha, nejpaklochow pachaempi wʉt, o, pachaema-elpi wʉtbej!
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Xamal is-emil wʉt babijax, pe nakiowa, nejpaklochow xamal kastika wʉt, ¡boejtaliasfʉlde! Japox asamatkoi pachaemaxael xamalliajwa, Dios wʉajnalelam wʉt.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Pelax xamal babijaxan isam wʉt, nejpaklochow kastika wʉt, xamal boejtaliatampox, japox Diosliajwa pachaemaxil. Pelax xamal isfʉlam wʉt pachaempoxan, pe nabijatam wʉt boejtaliatampox, asamatkoi xamalliajwa xabich pachaemaxael, Dios wʉajnalelam wʉt.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Dios xamal makanot nabijasliajwam, Cristo majt nabijat xot xamalliajwa. Cristo, babijax is-elon, nabijat. Samata, xamalbej nabijasaxaelam.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Cristo babijax is-el. Chinax kaen aton naekichachajba-elbejpon.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Asew jiw babejjamechan jʉmtis wʉt, Cristo jʉmnos-el babejjametat. Nabijat wʉtbejpon, japi jiw babijaxan is wʉt japonliajwa, thiya-elon. Cristolax tapaei japi Dios kastikaliajwas. Dios kastika wʉt jiw, babijaxan ispi, xabich babijaxan is-elpi, bijiat kastikaxaelon. Pelax jiw, xabich babijaxan ispi, japi xabich kastikaxaelon.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristo cruztat tʉp xatis kofaliajwas babijaxan isaspoxan, me-ama Dios nejxasink. Tʉpon xatis nakbʉ'weliajwa, pachaemaliajwas Diosliajwa.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Majt xamal napeltam Diosliajwa. Me-ama oveja napeltpi, ja-am xamal. Amwʉtjel xamal Cristo pijaxtat Dios pejjiwam. Me-ama oveja tataefʉlpon chiekal tataeflafʉl pejew oveja, ja-aech Cristo, amwʉtjel xamal tataeflafʉl wʉton.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
