1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Erei pe reta co jae Tumpa oiparavo vae reta. Pe reta peyeócuai Tumpa pe iporoocuaia pe. Tumpa peñono tee iyeupeguara peico vaera jae imbaera. Jocorai Tumpa oyapo pe reta pemombeu vaera iru vae reta pe quirai Tumpa ipɨacavi co jare quirai jae peparavo peico vaera jae jembipe icavi yae vae pe, agüɨye vaera peico pɨtumimbi pe.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Tenonde yave pe reta mbaeti co Tumpa jentara reta. Erei peyeapo ma Tumpa jentara retara. Tenonde yave Tumpa mbaeti peparareco. Erei añave peparareco.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Cherɨvɨ reta, pe reta mbaeti peico oporogüɨrovia mbae vae reta yogüɨreco rami, jare michi peguaño peicota cuae ɨvɨ pe. Jae rambue agüɨye peico peremimbota reño. Echa peremimbota perecove jovaicho co.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Peyapo icavi vae oporogüɨrovia mbae vae reta ipɨte pe. Echa jocorai peyapo yave, yepe tei jae reta jei icavi mbae vae pecotɨ, erei oechata icavi vae peyapo vae, jare jocuae jeco pegua omboete retata Tumpa, ou ovae yave ara Tumpa ojaa reta vaera.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Peyapo opaete ɨvɨ pegua mboroócuai reta. Echa cuae ñandeYa jemimbota co. Jae rambue peyapo peruvicha guasu jei peve peyapo vaera vae. Echa jae co opaete perentaɨgua reta juvicha guasu.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Mbaeti iyaracuaa vae reta jei icavi mbae vae pecotɨ, mbaeti pecuaa rambue. Jae rambue peyapo icavi vae agüɨye vaera ipuere reta jei jocorai. Echa cuae co jae Tumpa jemimbota.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Tumpa perepɨ ma mbaeyoa güi. Erei agüɨye peyapo icavi mbae vae Tumpa perepɨ mbaeyoa güi rambue. Echa Tumpa perepɨ mbaeyoa güi, peyeócuai vaera chupe.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Pemboete opaete vae. Peaɨu opaete oporogüɨrovia vae reta. Pequɨye Tumpa güi. Pemboete peruvicha guasu.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Che tae tembiócuai reta pe cuae: Peyapo peya jei peve peyapo vaera vae pequɨye reve chugüi. Amogüe peya reta ipɨacavi jare ipɨaguasu peve. Erei yepe tei amogüe peya reta oyapo icavi mbae vae peve, erei jeseve peyapo jei peve peyapo vaera vae.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Peyapo yave peicuaa Tumpa oipota peyapo vaera vae, jare peiporara yave jocuae jeco pegua, pemboyeroviata Tumpa.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Erei peyapo yave icavi mbae vae, peya oiporaraucata peve. Jare yepe tei peiporara pepɨaguasu reve, erei ngaraa peñemboeteuca. Erei peya oiporarauca yave peve, yepe tei peyapo icavi vae, peiporara yave pepɨaguasu reve, pemboyeroviata Tumpa.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Echa cuaera Tumpa peparavo. Echa Cristo oiporara peré, pe reta peyapo vaera jae oyapo rami.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Echa Cristo mbaeti iyoa. Mbaeti etei oporombotavɨ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Yepe tei iru vae reta jei icavi mbae vae icotɨ, erei Cristo mbaeti jei icavi mbae vae icotɨ reta. Oiporara oi yave, mbaeti jei oiporaraucata co oiporarauca chupe vae reta pe. Jaeño oñemee Tumpa pe. Echa oicuaa Tumpa oporojaa jupi vae rupi.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristo etei güɨraja ñanembaeyoa reta jete ae re jocuae curusu re, ñande ñamano vaera mbaeyoa reta güi jare yaico vaera jupi vae re. Jae omano rambue, ñande ñanoi tecove opa mbae vae.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Echa tenonde yave pe reta pepia Tumpa güi, vecha reta tape güi opia rami. Erei añave peyu ye ma oñangareco perecove re vae pe, vecha reta yogüeru ye iñangarecoa pe rami.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
