2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,

3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.

4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ẽrei jae reta uipota'ã yugüɨraa. Penti vae oo ico pe. Ĩru vae oo umaemee.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Jare ĩru reta uipɨsɨ mburuvicha guasu jembiocui reta, uyapo icavi mbae vae chupe reta jare uyuca reta —jei—.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Ẽrei mburuvicha guasu uicuaa yave cua regua, pochɨ ete co. Jáeramo omondo isundaro reta opa vaerã uyuca jocua upuruyuca vae reta jare uapɨ vaerã jenta guasu —jei—.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 ‘Jáeramo pecua calle rupi jare pere opaete pevãe chupe vae reta pe yugüeru vaerã menda pe’ —jei, jei—.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Jayave mburuvicha guasu jembiocui reta yugüɨraa calle rupi jare umbatɨ opaete uvãe chupe vae reta - icavi vae uyapo vae reta jare icavi mbae vae uyapo vae reta. Jare mburuvicha guasu jo tɨnee ma —jei—.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Jare mburuvicha guasu ou uvãe yave umae vaerã yugüeru vae reta re, uecha joco pe penti cuimbae temimonde menda pegua mbaetɨ güɨnoi vae —jei—.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Jayave jei chupe: ‘Cheamigo, ¿quirãi pa ndique cua pe temimonde menda pegua mbae reve?’ Ẽrei cuimbae jei'ã mbae ave —jei—.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Jayave mburuvicha guasu jei jembiocui reta pe: ‘Piñapɨ̃ti ipo rupi jare ipɨ rupi, jare peraa cua güi pemombo oca pe pɨ̃tumimbi oĩ vae pe. Joco pe uyaota jare jãi umbɨquɨrɨrɨuta’ —jei—.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Echa'ã Tumpa ueni jeta vae reta ẽrei mbovɨño uiparavo —jei.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Jayave fariseo reta uyembatɨ, jare uyemboemboe quirãi ipuere uyavɨca Jesús pe jae uyemɨngueta yave.

16 Jayave jae reta omondo jemimboe reta Jesús oĩ vae pe herodiano reta ndive. Jae reta jei Jesús pe:
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Jáeramo emɨmbeu oreve, ¿quirãi pa ndepɨa pe ndiyemɨngueta cua re? César yandeocui yambɨepɨ vaerã chupe corepoti pe. ¿Jupi pa yambɨepɨ vaerã chupe? ani ¿jupi'ã pa? —jei reta.
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Peechaca cheve corepoti mburuvicha guasu ocovara peve vae —jei.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Jayave Jesús upɨrandu chupe reta:
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 —Jocua César imbae co —jei reta.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Cua uyandu reta yave, ipɨacañɨ reta jese. Jayave jae reta yugüɨraa Jesús güi.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Jare jocua ara etei amocue saduceo reta yugüeru Jesús oĩ vae pe. Opaete saduceo reta jei umanocue vae reta icove ye'ã co. Saduceo yugüeru vae reta jei Jesús pe:
23 — ausente —

25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.

26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Taɨcue rupi cuña umano vi.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Jayave umanocue vae reta icove ye yave, ¿quía nunga vae jembirecorã pa icota jocua cuña? Echa'ã opaete siete reve umenda jae ndive —jei reta.
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Ẽrei Jesús jei chupe reta:
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Umanocue vae reta icove ye yave, cuimbae reta jare cuña reta ndarau umenda. Yugüɨrecota ángel ara pe ñugüɨnoi vae reta yugüɨreco rami —jei—.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Tamɨmbeu peve umanocue vae reta regua. Icove yeta co. ¿Pemɨngueta'ã pa Tumpa iñee pe uyecuatía oĩ vae?
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 Echa'ã uyecuatía oĩ cuarãi: ‘Che co jae Abraham, Isaac jare Jacob iTumpa’ —jei Tumpa. Jucuarãi uyecuatía oĩ —jei—. Tumpa mbaetɨ co umanocue vae reta iTumpa. Jae co tecove güɨnoi vae reta iTumpa —jei.
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:

36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?

37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.

38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.

41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 —¿Mbae pa pepɨa pe piyemɨngueta Cristo re? ¿Quía iñemoñaa reta pegua pa co jae?
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 —Jucuarãi yave, ¿maera pa David etei jei chupe: ‘CheYa’? Echa'ã Espíritu Santo uicuaaca David pe jucuarãi jei vaerã —jei chupe reta—.
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 Echa'ã David jei cuarãi:
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 ¿Quirãi pa ipuere ico David iñemoñaa reta peguarã? Echa'ã David etei jei chupe: ‘CheYa’ —jei Jesús chupe reta.
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Jare mbaetɨ quía ipuere umɨmbeu chupe. Jare jocua ara güive mbaetɨ ye quía uipota upɨrandu Jesús pe mbae re.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
